  1. Hmm, actually I wanted to ignore your posts henceforth and let you have your way, but I think its remarkable that everytime when you claim something and are asked to share more sources or information on that, you get out the "tools" argument. I'm beginning to see a pattern here.
  2. OK, now I've seen it all. My bet is, that the same government organizations will look at you, think for a moment, giggle, think again, then more giggle and afinally an explanation why bioware/EA were in total legal right to phrase it the way they did. EA/BW has released a couple of games before, and I'm willing to bet that EA has a pretty decent legal department just for these things. Trust me, they have their bases covered. You may not lime it, but that capitalism for you. Sucks, I know.
  3. Oh dear common sense. Who let this weirdo out of his cell? We can't have this here, move along.
  4. Well then, first let me say that we have to agree to disagree. Secondly I'm sorry that you are not willing or able to backup your claims of 30.000 invites per wave (or day, whatever you think feels right at the moment). Yes, that was a number that you threw in here. Unfortunately I can not take you serious anymore but regardless I wish you a happy, long and fruitful life. And may god have mercy on your soul.
  5. Hehe, nice try, but I didn't start throwing numbers around. And yes, I know of course that everything on the net has to be true. Always. Without a fraction of doubt. So, I challenge you again, to backup your numbercrunching with facts or solid sources. Until them, have a nice day.
  6. Hmm..in the post I quoted first, you said 30k per day...now it's per wave. I'd gladly give you a number. Problem is...I don't have one, and if you want to be taken seriously, you will admit, that you don't either. THAT is the whole problem. We DON'T KNOW how many invites are there per day and how they distribute the numbers. So, unless you have rock-hard FACTS, I suggest you stop spurting out some numbers which we have no basis on.
  7. Oh, we have another number, and it's getting smaller and smaller. Now it's only 30k invites, earlier today we were at 100k. At this rate, they have to un-invite players by tomorrow. Too bad, I was enjoying the game.
  8. LOL, I have no idea who you are, and frankly I don't care. But to me you're nothing else but funny. Funny man, raging and hating away.
  9. Exactly my point. These are assumptions. So unless we know, and by that I mean 100% for sure KNOW, how many pre-orders exist, we can't really tell if the amount of invited ppl is small, medium or large. And even if we knew the EXACT number of preorders up to early morning yesterday, we still wouldn't know the algorythm and factors upon which BW is sending out invites. Bottom line is there are too many variables to make claims or educated guesses, however good-mannered they are.
  10. See thread title. I keep reading that only 100K of pre-orders were invited yesterday. Would someone care to back this number with facts? Or official Statements (which in turn could be called fact)? Or is it just a made up number to give some weight to the w(h)ine?
  11. I got in yesterday and today I have to work. Actually I just have to sit here for 8 hours. It's all Biowares Fault. They're holding us back. *Throws Anakin Tantrum*
  12. Can I have your stuff? No, wait, you didnt get any yet. Sorry, you begged for it. No symparthy for just another "I'm cancelling" thread. Seen one, seen 'em all.
  13. And another fun-thread hijacked by rage *sadface*
  14. Uh oh....I can hear the Napalm bombers heating up already. Prepare for big time rage and flames. Although I agree that from a first day POV, it was very smooth, there are tons of guys out there, not in game yet. And some of those actually have legitimate claims.
  15. Maybe try the sword in a box?
  16. I see your point and maybe I wasn't very clear in my intentions or in my wording, so I opened room for misinterpretation. I'm only human myself, as are all of you. Least I hope you are. Basically my main intend was to counter the seemingly endless rudeness here. Yes, I know a lot of people are upset and angry. And not too few rightfully so. But it always depends ot the tone, in which you voice your concerns. When I see a post like " OHNOES, I pre-ordered in december, and all those who ordered earlier get to cut in line. Unfair. I WANT. GIMME!!!one!1!" I can't help it but to at least try to bring some positivity in here. As I said, yes I also had my critique-points, though I admit, those must seem a like mockery to some of you. Believe me, it wasn't intended that way. Letting of steam is good, keeping everything botteld up is just as bad as exploding over nothing. But I still think, the tone sets the music, and you have to admit, a lot of people here behave as if the whole world exists only to please them. And THAT I really have a big problem with.
  17. Yes, I can understand that point of view. I'm taking you're a red zoner then? Honestly, I don't understand why have red zones in the first place, let alone a whole continent like Australia. Also I don't know what a 3-5 day grace period could do to (finacially) harm EA/BW. As lots of ppl have said before me, it would not have made everyone happy, but it could have taken a lot of hate out of the equation.
  18. Yes, thanks for that remark. I feel a bit more educated now. This information will surely help in my current IT-training. But I was hoping for a little more on-topic. [edited for forgotten word *mea culpa*]
  19. No need to speculate. Just ask. So I'll take this as a question, which I'll happily answer. What I would have done, had I not been selected for day 1 is simple. Wait. Not happily, mind you, but for sure not in flames either. Yes, I would have been disappointed by the way their (BW) information flows. As I've stated in my OP, I still think, they could have done that better (I'm not as huge fan of twitter myself) and hopefully they learned the lesson yesterday and will do a better job today. But there's little, one can do, besides waiting the turn. Flaming and demanding stuff really doesn't get one very far. It may not be easy, and for some it isn't even fair. But that's how it is.
  20. Hi all, please let me take the opportunity to make one positive thread on here (which will be lost in negativity even while I type it, I'm afraid). Yes, I'm one of the lucky ones, who got in yesterday, but not because I love BW (which btw I do ) or I paid EA 100€ in advance, but because I put my early trust into a product. I have taken that chance and I was "rewarded" for it. Others may have noticed too late or didnt bother, some few were just screwed by retailers and my feelings go out to them. This could have been a big mistake, pre-order that early. But as it turns out for me, it hasn't. I for one am quite satisfied with the way BW has handled the EGA, and not only because I got to play already. Actually, it wouldn't have bothered my much to wait a few days more. Yes, it (appearently) bothers a lot of you, sometimes for reasons I cannot begin to comprehend. No, what I think, was a very smart move, from the technical point of view, was the staggered access. I allowed BW to monitor the progress in real time, as servers filled up, react rather quickly to occuring problems and learn lessons for future waves. Yes, I know, I know, I sound like a real big fanboy here. But I'm not really, there are things I criticize, and that's the lack of communication, although I understand the reasons behind it. Nevertheless, a wee bit more of information would have been grand. Stuff like "Things are looking good, smooth sailing so far, expect the next wave incoming soon" Any information, even "negative" like "we encountered a problem, but don't worry, we'll be up to speed in no-time" would have helped a lot, I think. But again, all in all, I think the EGA so far went really good. Yes, yes...YES, I KNOW a lot of ppl are still waiting for their invite and guess what. Patience goes a long way, not only with your fellow gamers, but also with your hearts. You WILL get in. Have a little faith, patience and understanding. Trust me, it makes live much more relaxed. Now feel free to chime in and share what you liked so far. CONTRUCTIVE criticism is always welcome, but if you intend to come in here and flame away: I can't stop you, but please leave your ingame name and server, so I can add you to my special friends list.
