  1. Well, I've been in all dps teams too. Few of them I remember quite nicely, as every 8 players undestood that we have no healers and have to make every second count. Most memorable one was (putting in spoiler for those who not care of personal stories) Don't get me wrong, I like an idea it self. If it would be 12 mans with big population pvp community, some minimal values would be great quality of life improvment, I'm just feared that on team of 8 with some pvp not so healthy (some servers out side of peak hours often have one team 6 man whole game just cause some 2 people refused que, and there is no one to backfill - and futher dividing roles would only make backfills harder to get). Maybe some less numbers, like atleast 1 healer, atleast 1 mele (so warrior class, assassin/operative?) and atleast 1 ranged (like sniper, mercenary). Then again, why not add atleast one stealth (guarder) who is not healer. and we can go on in dividing till it's not healthy any more. If we don't go futher dividing, some may feel they got short end of a stick. It would hard to satisfy every one.
  2. I've been in a game with 4 tanks (yeah, you guessed right, I do tank half of my pvp time as I like annoying people and make a difference). and 3 heals. That was interesting AH. Very often I see tanks, usualy assassin tanks in dps gear and 0 protection, but still. Balance thing is interesting when we think about it. Many games have been filled with smash. many with snipers mostly. if we would make sure to have just <2-3 heals>+<2-3 ranged dps>+<prefferably one tank>+<fill with mele dps> it would make warzones 'even' but would kill some heavy healer+tank tactics forcing same boring zerg da mid games. and boring kills games. now it's random composition vs random. no fixed strategies, full of suprizes, making people adapt to situation they'r in (or leave)
  3. ok, why not tanks you want to separate ranged and mele dps and heals... why not tanks
  4. if there was no stealth in this game, guarding nodes would be boring, and if stealth was in fact OP, we would have rated filled with stealth players, and some how we don't see that. instaed we have Juggs tanks, smash monkeys and sorc healers, and one lone assassin tank with pre-designed role of full time node guardian. Thank you very much for that OPness. and what that OP tank assassin does? In hutball he's end reciever from Jugg. In other 3, he doesn't even tank that node, he saps, kites and interrupts waiting for rescue. only place to shine is PuGs where stealth can do what he is designed, wait for good oportunity to strike, fast kill node guarder hoping he's not good enouth to kite thro his open burst, zero in some loner who is on his way to help defend other node, or trying to sap n' cap (but operatives are better for that any way since they took away insta whirlwind).
  5. When my team has 3-4 healers, I quickly respec to dps (or stay heals but go guard a node if no tanks), now working on dps gear for my new in pvp tank (relativly new, 2 weeks). Sure, separate ques, i can que as both and respec if needed no, really, that will be bad. 4 healers in team isn't auto win. 4 tanks in team isn't auto lose either. it all depend's on player skills and tactics chosen. Perfect composition but dumb players can lead to slaughter loss. think outside the box from time to time.
  6. after a long marathon with my jugg tank, I have to admit, they are way better in organized groups... when you don't have to worry about all interrupts of caps/orbs, and you know that you are not going to guard a node on AH, their utility, survival perks, and support perks, are way nicer. On pugs I still miss that 30 meters range but on other hand I had to stand alone vs 4 dps to keep node alive which couldn't be done with PT same way, but in pugs in general more fun is operative dps or assassin dps any way. Not to mention, I can always respec for smash monkey if I want to. Will definetly stay with jugg until some PT buffs come. Thanks every one for input.
  7. on other hand, there must be some rules so elitist jerks won't be kicking players for reason like unaugmented gear or low hp, or simply, cause they don't like them. While on GF there are set of rules (like roles, ignore button that will prevent from queing with that person) WZ don't. I don't want to get kicked on my operative when I choose to go DPS spec instead of healing, cause 4 premade jerks think that operative dps sucks and I can respec or will get kicked.
  8. Had similar situation, sniper, total 10k damage (that's what, like one ambush?) constantly raging in chat that we are bads, imps sucks, and he always loses due to crap team. I was very close to actually naming him out in general chat wanting a word with his guild officers (as it was quite good guild with nice pvp reputation), but couldn't be bothered as it only happend once. People standing on edge in huttball are more annoying. making it imposible to win.
  9. 85% of statistics are made up and 78% of people will always belive a statistic that has % in them.
  10. You don't see anythign like this cause your DD is as crappy as my spelling I see alot of bad healers, half of them atleast. I also love when operative/scoundrel healer I'm killing tries to roll 4 times to run away from me basicly killing his energy since he's slowed. I see lots of sorcerers/sages throwing their bubble of immortality when they are 20% hp and dropping it second I move more then 3 meters from them or blowing this CD on start of a fight, not using KB(or blowing it in wrong direction), wasting force sprint to early, not dropping force bubble. People who suck very much at healing and tanking go for dps spec as it's easier, flashier, more fun (look at the long waiting times for pve GF). You also see alot bad tanks who still think they'r job is to do DPS not CC and protection, swap guard or, sometimes droping guard if needed. Good pvp tank is worth alot. Good players don't come on forums to whine, they learn to improve them selves oh how dare they give people advice. I know good dps when I see one. I have to focus on keeping my self alive, not very occasions can throw a heal or two on my team mates. Two good dps and I'm squat. that under 30% hp 'insane free heal' also means that I'm in range of 2 DD's finishers 8-9k dmg each, while on my tank 2-3 good dps means I'm pretty much dead the moment my def cooldowns wear out, and they are on 2.5 minute cd.
  11. if you tell us class you play, maybe we can help you with build and rotation. pointless whine posts are pointless
  12. and think of the children!!! maybe he only knew it as 'rest' ability, not 'heal' one. you could probably ask him to hit '=' (I think it's default rest bind?), or (as he was also sentinel) tell him name of ability to use. after you work in IT deparment, and few offices where you are only person who knows anything more about computers then how to turn them on, you kinda learn how to deal with these situations.
  13. Stealth are strong one on one. fact - but warzones contains 8 people mixed with healers who can nullify opening burst leaving stealth rendered and defensless. stealth have problems once opening burst is open. fact - basicly every class has some kind of defensive cool down. no stealth one shotted my jugg tank guarding (or atleast 40 on PT), heck I can hold for atleast 50 seconds against 2 stealthers that open on me and try to kill me (on that note, 2 stealthers will probably rather sap cap my jugg, but it's team fault that when we have 7 on mid, 3 enemies, no one even thought about sending one more to other turret as they preffer to attack enemy turret instead). if you leave healer or dps to solo guard, who is not stealth, you are asking for trouble. fact - get a tank or stealther to guard, or PT/Vanguard (tank preffered) if you'r stealth and guarding by the node it's your own fault of being found. fact - hide somewere. you have atleast 40 meters, not sure how far exacly it reaches. stealthers got beaten down enough, we basicly only can have fun on pugs, rated WZs rarely ever take us for anything else then node guarding.
  14. bolder part is exactly what's gonna happen when they give something good to pvp rewards other then pvp gear. now PVP is for PVPrs, giving exactly what it should - pvp coms for pvp gear, doesn't bring scrubs wondering about for easy money.
  15. L50 cube? maybe mine is bugged 1 expertise, oh noes, gonna blame that bad exploiters
  16. Who would taunt on pvp. you crazy? all players would start attacking me, I don't want to taunt. not a fool. on serius note, more then people not taunting, what puts me off an edge of ending pug pvp, is when I see a sin tank, in tank gear, who asks my jugg to guard pylon in AH, and then he ends up with 0 protection...
  17. you mean you right clicked on 'pvp que shiny icon that blinks' and 'exit' didn't pop? (that icon on bottom right side of a minimap).
  18. Yeah, pve geared player in 69 has how much experties by your knowledge?
  19. your logic is incredible. you'r saying that by lowering gear difference, they reduced skill involved in game? a sentinel got out played by mirror marauder and thinks he lost cause marauder was better geared.. no. you got outplayed by more skilled player. Instaed of looking for excuses, look for improvment in your game play. comparisment to Vegas is plain wrong. How bolster would work in your example: player A has 1 milion $ player B and C have 100k $ player D has 1k$. 'bolster' rules game table that each bet can't be more then 20$ and grand total of game not more then 200$. So Player A,B and C can't simply outbid Player D and force him to fold. (just an example, I don't do card games) Skill and luck in cards are still player dependable.
  20. that used to be the case, for example, one partisian heal/damage power proc and conqueror power proc didn't share cooldown, and could sometimes stack (for insane healing) or come one after another (for not so insane but 12 second increased healing). But they fixed it, at same time breaking tank relics. For pve fix is supposed to come with 2.3, hopefully they will fix pvp relics same time, even if by accident.
  21. I won't strip you away from The Pleasure of Finding. You might find some more information that you could really use. Try 'SWTOR sentinel rotation' as well
  22. I could tell you that bolster is working as intended, and explain why (with some exclusions ofc, nothing is perfect). But are you willing to read? Or you will just randomly pick a sentence and ignore whole rest? Like I asked you about 69 and 72's you inspected and had 2000 expertiese? I could type a wall of text, but I have a feeling that it would be a waste of time. not to mention, a walls of texts had been written, and math magicians did prove that pvp gear>pve. People way smarter then me and you already proven everything there is to be proven. Why continue pointless debate? if it takes no skill to push buttons, HOW are you doing it wrong?
  23. similar hp doesnt equal similar gear and similar skill. sent with 27k hp can sux whie mara with 26.5k hp can be a good player who kicks bums. not to meniton, imperlials are overpowered
  24. That's what you get for signing to open pvp all times server. Didn't want to get ganked? should go pve. but then you could not gank others when you get bored, so heh.
  25. so, you are trying to tell us, that you inspected player in 69 and 72 grade gear wh had 2000 expertiese? at first you said person was 33khp 2000 expertiese pve geared and you had hard time fighting him. now you say you inspected him and he was your ally. sorry, you are confusing me
