  1. The way FF14 does. Tons of content. FF14's last expansion for example: New raids, new dungeons, new mini games, new main story, new side quests(FF14 has signature side quests with storylines that have been going for awhile), new pvp modes and maps, ten new levels, new gear/gear tokens, new areas(massive maps to explore with new dalies), flying, new mounts, new glamour, new housing, new hunts and much more I'll probably remember after I post this. I'd like SWTOR expansions to be big and competitive with other AAA MMO expansions. I'd like to be hyped about a SWTOR expansion. Most of all I'd like it to cater to all play styles so there's no more "story players vs op players vs pvp players" fighting for content.
  2. Transfer to a better server. Try Harb. I get whispers from randoms on fleet asking if I want to do SM ops all the time(well... at least recently anyway). In fact I got one for EC SM.
  3. Even then it was not "all RNG" as you claimed in your original post. You still got tokens from it and many parts of the game that allowed you to buy the same ilevel gear. FF14 has always had token gear, the only newer tokens are the ones for the highest teir. And none of the 24man drop or have dropped the highest teir.
  4. Wrong, FF14 has a token system for all endgame tier gear. If you dont roll high on a drop you will be able to buy one at its ilevel anyway. Even the highest tier has tokens, and that gear costs only a reasonble amount. 8 tokens for the best chest etc.
  5. I think those grinders are not as sucessful because of everything you listed, yes. Just because theres many of them doesn't mean one couldnt become very sucessful if that model was that sucessful to begin with. I never said RNG was the devil, or any other dramatized bit you added. Also gearing pre5.0 in ops was not RNG for me. The groups I ran with planned who got what gear. A couple raid runs they gave every drop to me.
  6. Lmfao While I personally am fine with GC as long as it keeps getting improved, I dont agree with your post. Youre talking about the Chinese grinder model I'm guessing, which tends to have a smaller player base for a reason. Either way I'm pretty sure FF14 is a "real" MMO since it has 6million subscribers, and considered to be hugely successful. It's "really good gear" always drops from the appropriate bosses. Harder bosses = better gear. Nothing in your post applies to FF14.
  7. That's cool that you guys are so open to it. I'm looking forward to all the changes. Thanks for being so active on the forums btw.
  8. Lol my experience with the community in-game has been good since I've returned. Though I love snark and when people rage it makes me laugh.
  9. Has anyone gotten a full set of purple 230s from rank 1 crates? I wonder if the devs have looked up that info. Maybe we werent suppose to? But why if thats the case? The GC is supposedly our main source for gear, since ops and PvP are only "supplements" for the unlucky, yet I wouldnt be shocked if no one has got a full set of purple starter gear from it. That's pretty abysmal, worse if you think of how easy it was before 5.0. The scariest part is the GC was created without those supplements in mind....
  10. The romance mails were meh to me. I do enjoy mails laced with humor though. Loved the end of Tora's last letter to me.
  11. Oh! I'd be delighted if Corso showed up! Then I could put a lightsaber through his gut.
  12. Could you guys add a button that extracts Command Tokens and disintegrates the create without opening it? Please? After 40+ creates in a row without any set bonus gear, I cringe when I have to open one. If I don't have to open them anymore, I wont have to keep being disappointed. I only need the tokens from the creates, since I'll be doing ops for my gear.
  13. After I saw you click I stopped watching. Though I probably should have noticed the lack of keybinds first. I'm not trying to discourage you, just providing honest feedback. Good luck and have fun making your vids.
  14. Quinn was just being a loyal imperial to his true sith master. I hold no grudges and I'm excited to get him back. Plus hes a human imperial companion... not another disgusting alien.
  15. Maybe they want to make as little content as possible for the most money as possible. It makes sense. Though I still think they're extremely limited by their funding.
  16. I nearly spit out my coffee laughing when he claimed she called him a strawman.
  17. GCs pure RNG is certainly the biggest reason it's not fun. Recently I switched to merc healer, and in 32 levels I got ONE set bonus piece... my bracers. What an utterly crappy system. That's 1/3 of my tier one finished with only one meaningful reward. Luckily I have a raid group that basically begged me to come with them, and they plan to get me my full set bonus. At this point, I'm only opening my crates for the tokens and because I have to disintegrate for the CXP. I wish they had an option to get my tokens and disintegrate everything else without opening the create. I get annoyed when I have to open a create now.
  18. I dont need five words. Just one: RNGeus. 5.1 helped slightly but also added another layer of RNG to PVE.
  19. I love it so much. Siding with the Empire so hard. **** my pub companions. I wanted to kill them all anyway.
  20. Personally I'm OK with the idea. Of course we will see if they continue to release Op bosses or if they ditch the idea after awhile, leaving raiders in the dust again.
  21. This is basically what I was going to post. I understand that BW doesnt have the funding to produce the amount of content that FF14 does. However some people need to realize what we have on SWTOR is not "a lot", at least not compared to its competitors. In fact its pretty **** compared to them. By the way, FF14s basic sub fee is cheaper than SWTORs. lol
