  1. Hi, Can you please add the humble hero armor set back to the cartel market, even as a flash item? Its completely unavailable right now.
  2. I really enjoy the current direction of the game. I think the developers have done an excellent job bringing the core mechanics back into a place that is fun and engaging. I feel my time is respected, but also that I want to play more than ever. The current gearing mechanics are excellent. I do miss the referral program, but otherwise I have a lot of hope for the direction of SWTOR. The foundation is fun and I cant wait for new content. These are just a couple recommendations related to the cartel market. Thanks for checking it out. 1.) New currency "Underworld Dataries" - breakdown unwanted, tradeable cartel pack items into Underworld Dataries. These can then be traded to a vendor, which would sell a selection of non-rotational and rotation items. Today, some cartel items just take up space and, potentially, take more effort to sell then can be justified. This idea would create a base value for the worst items and add some bad luck protection for the players who spend, directly or indirectly, lots of money. I believe it would encourage more spending: a bank full of worthless items can be a bit of deterrent to buying more. Example Underworld Dataries (UD) breakdown rate: Bronze - 10 UD Silver - 25 UD Gold - 250 UD Platinum - 750 UD Example Non-rotation Vendor items: Random Pet Pack - 250 UD Cartel Certificate - 250 UD Random Dye Pack - 500 UD Character Slot - 750 UD Chance Cube - 750 UD 70 Character Boost - 1500 UD Example rotation Vendor items: 1 Developer Selected Removed Cartel Market Item - Price Varies 1 Developer Select Platinum or Select Rare Gold Item - 3500 UD 1 Random Rotation Gold or Random rotation Rare Silver item - 2500 UD 1 random rotation color crystal, random bronze item, or random silver item - 750 UD 2.) Personalities(Idle animations) If you ever pass a player on the fleet, especially a group of them, there is one thing that may stand out: They sort of look like zombies. The armor and character design both look amazing, but the thousand yard stare and motionless stance of every player can detract from what can be a very immersive experience. - New drop down next to flairs for choosing a personality. Example's: Basic introduction personalities - based on current class animations; affordable (ex. 2000 CC) Class Set 1 - 8 Republic Class Specific personalities Class Set 2 - 8 Republic Class specific personalities General use personalities - Unique and sometimes dramatic; works on any class; gold/platinum level cartel item (ex 4800 CC) *The Princess* *The Mandalorian* etc Thanks for reading. I did a better write up originally, but I wrote it in the browser and closed the window by accident. This is the essential idea.
  3. The little details we got on the gearing sounds amazing and the concept art for the new areas looks awesome. Everything that has been going on with the game lately has been in a great direction. Nice course correct. September can't come soon enough.
  4. This is an amazing list. Wow, very nicely done. Bioware owes you one big time, this probably just made their lives much easier. I did not see anything stating items not being searchable on the GTN, so I will add that: -Almost all statues can not be searched on the GTN, without a work around. For the "Commemorative Statue of Scorpio" you must search Scorpio. For "Dignified Statue of the Scholar" you must search Scholar. This is not only decorations, but lots of random items. "Resplendent crown of Avarice" must search Avarice. Any additional letter in the search, prevents me from clicking search. The ordtech weapons from the CM packs are especially annoying to search.
  5. I forgot about how Destiny did it. Its similar, but soo much better. When I played, I was 2 pieces away from BiS just from playing the many activities of the game. It was the variety of stuff that made it bearable though. Man... SWTOR should take note from them: Add lots of variety to the last tier. Make it easier to get to 248 (or whatever the max is) and give us a large pool of interesting gear that will add to different play styles. Make a raid specific set and a pvp specific set. Give us better chances of good loot drops, equally good for each item of the large pool. I would come back and play that.... If they are going to go with a crazy loot system (with lots of potential) they should probably make it all about the loot. I was a defender of Bioware's system. Essentially, it is an excellent design concept. It is just poorly implemented. The idea that all activities can reward you is amazing, but they really went on the cheap long grind end of that idea. I am happy they fixed the raids etc, but the PVP is still pretty bad. I was tier 3 before tier 4 launched (with maybe 1 tier 3 piece) and did not even bother with tier 4. The trading up pieces thing is crazy. I barely even have any tier 2, just off set numbers for every slot. So the idea of playing pvp and hoping boxes paid out or saving up 1k (+/-) unassambled, per piece, just to get through to the final tier... no way. Its asking too much of my time for the reward involved. It really bugs me, because it would probably be faster for me to go back to tier 1 (with all the changes). As it stands though, since I was early to T3, I am punished the most due to the terrible early drops. For one piece I need to buy: T1 + T2 + T3 + T4 and for 75%: T2 + T3 + T4. 234s and 240s should not even exist. Just FYI - They do this everywhere in their game. They do not understand how bad RNG can be. For instance, I have only been playing the GTN. This is why I am subbed and I buy lots of hypercrates. I have gone through approx 20 +/- hypercrates in a row (*Over 550 packs - some crates were 30 and I also bought packs as well) without a single platinum (I did get all of the gold/silver ones I wanted). Someone paid about $1000 USD for those crates, possibly more. They have no idea how bad their loot system is under the hood. Im pretty certain they have no form of bad luck protection and if they do, it is not logged and saved for later use. Probably just: The more you open at once bad luck protection. It is without a doubt, the most brutal RNG I have ever dealt with. This game makes me feel worst than unlucky. Their RNG is the only thing hurting this game and slowly killing the population. You have to be a masochist to enjoy this design (or a raider + or lucky). Games are suppose to be fun, someone at bioware forgot that. Playing the GTN is the last fun/ rewarding experience that exist for me in SWTOR and unfortunately, less and less people are around to buy stuff. I have hope that this game will turn around. It just needs to be fun. [i am very happy they fixed Operations, even though I do not do them, I am grateful the option is there. I have done them in the past, but it is not fun to be the guy who does not know what he is doing when everyone else is a master at it. It was a step in the right direction and knowing that they are trying to make it better is enough for me to hang out and keep playing the GTN. I believe Bioware Austin will get this game back to fun, especially now with Keith at the helm. From what I understand, he is a semi hardcore player.]
  6. Eric, I posted the linked thread (That never got a response.. I know, can't get to them all), but thank you very much for getting back to us about this and confirming that the prices should be 400 for golds etc. I was really bothered by that originally, it just gave me a bad vibe. I ended up cancelling my sub (3 month long one, so it was not going away any time soon.) I know that is a bit of a response, but I had my reasons at the time. Anyway, I am going to renew my sub. Thank you for addressing this and confirming it was not a sneaky ninja nickle and dime move.
  7. I would really like an official response on this as well. If this is a bug(Sound very possible), I think it would be good to do a PSA on forums/reddit to let people know to proceed at own risk with knowledge of the issue. If it is not a bug, a confirmation should happen.
  8. Check your collections. This is really too much. I spend a lot of money on this game, but enough is enough. Hoverchair was 400 a few days ago. All gold items were, now they are 600.
  9. So, you are complaining that the prices are too high on the GTN and you would like those items to be direct sale? Are you forgetting that someone already did spend a lot of real money on those items? There is a video of someone opening 150 packs for the vented saber and not getting it. At around $40 per crate and, in this case, 30 packs per a crate = $200 (Without getting it). I would say the GTN prices are more than fair. Ultra rare item means that only a few people will have that item. Not everyone. If you wanted it so bad, raise the credits and get it. It is no different than other games. Ultra rare, only those that are determined to get it will get it.
  10. Except, 150M for Revan Set is the standard price across all servers. It is not like 1 person listing it for an extreme amount, it is the accepted price.
  11. The reason there are no flying mounts is pretty obvious: Level design. You have to try to imagine what the worlds would look like from above. A lot of these worlds are not 100% open, they are corridors. Not to mention, they might not have designed anything above what can be seen. That would take a lot of work to address. Basically, it will never happen in this game. It is impossible to implement. Hopefully, SWTOR 2 has full open world and flying mounts from the start.
  12. This game is not other games. While selling a sub token would be pretty cool, the whole "f2p is restrictive" is not true at all. Relative to less successful games (this one may be catching up), yes. This is their system, though, and there is nothing wrong with it other than how it is perceived. For instance: WoW's F2P model is this: Play to Level 20. That could be considered pretty restrictive. Free is free and this one is pretty generous. The best part of the game: The class stories, are totally free. F2P can even experience many other aspects of the game, but the true endgame cost money and relative to other entertainment cost or even buying coffee, it is cheap. F2P is not restrictive at all, people are just trying to access the P2P version and are bumping into walls that separate the two. F2P and P2P are basically 2 different games, where all the players exist in the same universe. Back to the tokens though, selling monthly tokens would be pretty awesome, but there are issues. 1.) It would cannibalize their cartel market sales, which is the current way of turning real money into credits. Basically, they would not make more money. Instead they will just sell less packs. 2.) Only subscribers could afford them, since they would be way more expensive than the low f2p/pref credit cap. Of course, they could create a separate system to pay for it through escrow without having to purchase an escrow unlock. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I do have an idea though, that I think would be more than fair. They should include a set amount of time, for instance 8 hours of subscription time, for every cartel pack that is opened. This time would not auto apply, but would bank until hitting markers like 7 days, 14 days, 30 days. Once one of these values is hit, it can be turned in for instant game time. For preferred with full access it upgrades the account to subscribed. For a free to play player or preferred that is missing recent expansions, they would have to initially consume 2 (f2p, no expansions) or 1(pref missing expansions) 30 day tokens to get preferred and/or expansions unlocked. This would at least be profitable, while also giving a bit more value to the cartel packs. Since it would take about 100 packs to get a month of subscription time, it would not cannibalize subscription sales. Instead it would encourage pack sales. They would have to increase the f2p and pref credit cap to at least 2M/4M. Increasing the cap would reinvigorate the gtn anyway, so its something they should do regardless.
  13. You know, you don't have to participate in the PVP at all. Just go in the pve instance and get the same rewards.
  14. If they only added it to companions, it would not impact group content, unless you were running a companion in the place of an actual player. Either way, they can just disable auto loot, by default, in group content and problem solved.
