  1. I'm sorry, KOTFE/KOTET were a terrible time for the game. They just about abandoned all aspects of the game not story related, and pushed a "choices matter" story line that was the same for all classes and ultimately your choices did not matter at all. For myself, I saw a very large exit of subscribing players as I watched several guilds I was in go from highly active to ghost towns. That being said, I'm really not a huge fan of a lot of the changes that were done here in what seemed like change for change's sake. The new UI looks to be a step back in a lot of ways. Numerous bugs just may be the way of life in this day and age, but how quickly they are handled/responded to will go a long way. But let's not put on rose colored glasses and act like the past was much better and now calling it a great expansion. It was so well received that they abandoned that model and replaced the producer (who went on to sink another game). You don't change direction like that for something that was successful and working.
  2. I hope you meant Ben Kenobi, otherwise, yeah you're on your own.
  3. You arbitrarily made the rankings here for which content was most difficult so I don't think you can say anything is clear at all. Not to mention that in MM chapters, you can bring in a friend to assist- but even solo it is debatable if a MM chapter is harder than a NiM boss like Apex. And again, not making any claim above that is concrete, but you're entire argument rests on accepting a false premise made by your opinion -not fact based at all.
  4. I've had the same issue. Rather than reactivate, I just closed the app, re-opened it and it works. It is happening often though so there is definitely an issue
  5. My two cents: Daily and Weekly Mission Reset Not an improvement. Feels like a punishment for someone who either a) can't take the time to complete the entire mission, or b) stops and pauses it b/c they already reached conquest and moved to another character. Not a huge deal for me, but I know this will affect others Economy Adjustments Doesn't seem to make any difference at all. You hit the nail on the head that there were more ways to make money than credit sinks, but just lessened the ways to make a small amount of the credits in the economy with no desired credit sink. Open up credits to pay for things instead of cartel coins and you may just find that sink. Also, on credit sellers- I find it unbelievable that a certain website is able to type out it's address in chat and not have some script to automatically block it. "Go to websitename and buy credits" is in my general chat several times an hour. Shared Tagging Sounds good until you realize there may be a person who spent hours camping a rare spawn (say in CZ) finally gets the spawn, attacks it only for another player to run by, hit it once and then get the assigned rare loot given to them. Combat Change - Vanish Feels like another case of PVP behavior ruining other game aspects. For a dps with a revive capability to have that taken away takes away some of their utility in end game operations or MM fps. If the healer(s) go down and they can't be revived that pretty much ruins the battle. Being able to get off a stealth rez during a fight should also be something that is allowed since it requires some thought and skill. Weapons in Outfitter Good news in the midst of all this. A welcome change finally.
  6. Will snipers be able to get an ability to have a cleanse again? (kinda like they used to with evasion)
  7. This game has tons of ways to add credits to the economy, but very few to remove them from it. GTN is exchanging credits between accounts with a small amount as a tax taking some credits out of the economy. But with Heroics and other activates basically printing money, more credits come into the game every day than leave it. The result is inflation. Without credit sinks, the economy will always have inflation. So the fix isn't to restrict the GTN, but rather find more attractive credit sinks. The problem seems to be that the Cartel Market is just too much of the revenue driver for the game, they don't want to jeopardize that cash flow (understandably) by messing with this buy on CM to resell on GTN market. Making the system less attractive to the GTN sellers (likely the CM spenders) would be hurting themselves.
  8. As was mentioned, the conquest reward day is Tuesday. Those with many characters that participate in conquest can easily hit that 10K cap (and also massively exceed it) on that day, and then there is still the 2 day wait for Kai to show up. I think an increase in the cap and/or having Kai stay up all week and just rotate stock on Thursday would be a nice gesture. Also gives the benefit to making Kai available to the entire player base (as I'm sure there are those who may only play between his appearances). This isn't something that I think is worth quitting over, but there could be (more likely will be) the unintended consequence of people scaling back their play. That means less people in Operations, WZ, FP, Uprising and GSF queues as a result. I really don't think this game (or any game) needs to provide disincentives to players from playing the game. Just something for the devs to mull over.
  9. Well, there is the cinematics and then there is the story. I agree that the cinematics were great, but I did not care for the KOTFE/ET story or the almost exclusive development focus on single player story play.
  10. You also can take notice that there are a a lot of players who aren't in guilds and if they need to be in a stronghold will not get to take part in fleet chat as of now. With fleet apartments, these players can now be in a SH and still participate in fleet chat. I agree that the guild ships are a nice place to be able to see everyone in guild in the same area - but you'll still have guild chat and other options to keep communications open and coordinate events and gatherings. This game really made a lot of moves to cater to the solo players over the years so something like this that gives them ability to be in SH but still participate in fleet chat/LFGs etc outweighs the benefits of happening to be able to see guildies on the ship from time to time. (And that doesn't mean that guild ships become barren wastelands either) GS still have that added benefit of being able to be "parked" over areas that Strongholds just aren't in yet for quick travel access.
  11. I felt like the Knight storyline was the sequel, the other classes could be called the spin off. That is until Yavin & KOTFE/KOTET where they all merge into the next sequel.
  12. There are many armor sets and tacticals that seem quite novel, but really in the grand scheme don't have any use other than counting towards an achievement.
  13. I agree, and it would likely be nice for the devs to come out and say it, but they likely don't want it to be "easy" for small guilds to hit that large planet conquest cap. Their current Large planet threshold is 5 million. With individual thresholds at 50K that means they assume 100 members hitting cap to reach the reward. They likely don't want to provide an "easy" (I know crafting takes work and gathering hence the quotes) way for 3-4 people to hit that cap. Now it entirely possible for 3-4 people to hit 5 million still- but requires a lot of active gameplay to do so - and that is likely their intent.
  14. But even if the larger guild doesn't have that 100K requirement, small guild wills till be at a disadvantage due to numbers - this really can't be balanced. Small guild could do the same crafting overload to make some significant points, but if the bigger guild has crafters even just 1 matching that smaller guild- they win. It's like saying a pvp match of 1v50 should be balanced so the 1 has equal opportunity to win the match.
  15. Any change that minimizes or limits the ability to earn points will always affect smaller guild more than larger guilds. The only way a smaller guild can compete is to have no limits on activities in making points (such as infinite crafting). The problem there lies in the fact that a small guild with a hardcore crafter still won't compete with a large guild with one or more hardcore crafters of the same mindset. The only way to separate large and small guilds in conquest is to have reward divisions on guild size and not by choice. Large guilds will still invade small/medium planets not for the sake of the reward, but for achievements or planetary control. To continue to make changes for the sake of balancing conquest just feels like a waste of dev resources at this point.
  16. Can we revisit loot drops in operations again? When GC first rolled out, loot was removed from operations under the guise of getting gear from GC. After enough outcry, bosses starting dropping gear tokens again. Now with GR, once again guaranteed loot was removed from from an operation bosses - but with tech frag vendors there wasn't the pain as it was before. You could still get your set pieces without even setting foot in an operation. However, there are sets that can't be outright purchased from the vendor (meaning vendor always has in stock, not the random chance on Kai) and can only drop in HM/NiM operations. And the drop rates of these seem to be abysmal with no rhyme or reason the piece that drops (waist, head, etc). Can it be looked into for operations like Dxun to have a HM/NiM vendor as in the past who carries these specific armor sets and have the bosses guarantee an unassembled set piece drop?
  17. Well, I can't speak for you, but in my case I'm not surprised. Dead men don't talk...
  18. This worked for me. After validation, it allowed me to update the game via steam Thanks!
  19. I have same issue with steam. Have no pending Windows 10 updates either.
  20. I also am playing through steam and have same issue. The patch doesn't seem to load and I'm given the message that my game version doesn't match
  21. Ideally, I think that Disney should drop the exclusive license with EA, but allow them and others to produce games. More games and competition with studios will hopefully give us better SW products as well as a wider range of options. That way SWTOR can continue to exist and other games can be brought forward by other studios and get away from EA's short sightedness with the license
  22. "I was commander of the Eternal Fleet. I was the Champion of the great hunt. I defeated both Emperor Valkorian and the famous Jedi knight/Sith lord Revan.." "That's great man, I'll take another steak, and be snappy with it or I'll tell the Hutts" "yes sir, right away" Yeah, this event makes sense.
  23. The issue was CM provided +41 crystals able to be equipped at level 10 as Artifice ones had higher level requirements for +41(might still be not sure). That was a big difference with the cartel ones vs crafted ones which also did a lot of damage to sales in leveling crystals. Also, with CM, you get infinite copies of it as well. Buy one white crit crystal, get as many copies as you want. Still some unique ones that can be crafted if you were lucky enough to get some of the schematics before RE was taken out (and I did and still have some unique ones- the magenta, purple, black green, etc examples) but with gearing changes also taking away end game crafting on hilts and relics, Artifice just feels like a skill that has been crapped on for a while.
  24. And then cartel market crystals came out along with the +41 available at level 10 and pretty much wiped out artifice crystal crafting
