  1. Yeah, I pasted the dll into the game directory and it overwrote the old one. Same difference. Good luck!
  2. I just edited a link for you into my previous post.
  3. Copying just that dll has worked for me too! Hurrah! Edit: here is a link to just the dll for anyone having issues extracting it.
  4. I am affected by the current launch issue and I was able to play on the PTS for 7.0. However I am not absolutely sure if the version I played on was the most recent version of the PTS. I don't think I went on the PTS for about a month before it was taken down. My recollections may not be sharp enough to be useful - but here they are, for whatever use they may serve.
  5. Well yes, but who does that hurt? Like... if I want to fight that mob... I still can...
  6. Is it negative gameplay if it doesn't affect anyone else? I only ever used these tacticals to make my single player experience more fun. I wish there was some way to keep that functionality in a non-group context. It'll be missed.

  8. I am affected and I am using a ROG Zephyrus laptop.
  9. Ryzen 7 5800HS, Windows 10. Launcher fix doesn't work. Before applying that, immediately after the launcher updated it showed an empty server list. On relanching the launcher, it just crashes straight away.
  10. Well I will quote you! I said usually and often enough. I didn't say always or never. The reason for this is that I remembered that one Black Friday sale was different (though I couldn't remember what year so I saw no point in mentioning it). Now I'm not saying it was only ever different once - but I only remember it being different once. So I think this communication was the exception rather than the rule. Much more often, I saw the discount in game without any prior notice, or I heard about it from other fans. Regardless of those specifics, I completely agree with you that consistent and more communication would be better.
  11. He really doesn't! I guess broadly people who are happy with characters may not broadcast it as much as those who are unhappy. But there are dozens of us Felix fans. Dozens!!
  12. My experience is that this sale is usually not announced in advance. I expect it to happen on Monday. But if not then, maybe they're delaying it for the expansion launch. I vaguely recall that they had a 50% unlock sale for the last expansion launch, and this is replaced the usual sale (though my memory is open to correction).
  13. I think often enough the 50% sale starts on the ("Cyber") Monday.
  14. Exactly this. Happy for those who like Lana, but many of us prefer other companions. Especially original class companions, in my case.
  15. Honestly I don't think it would be a terrible idea to make them available for large amounts of credits, post-7.0. The game needs more credit sinks. Why not let these sets fulfil that function?
  16. That's pretty cool. A reason to keep trying to get the sets, if we don't have them all yet. Thanks.
  17. I would have liked if the info was posted here at the same time it was posted there. When I saw it was posted on the discord days earlier, when people on the forums were worried and getting no answers, I thought that wasn't a great look. But Jackie did post it here in the end. And I don't think Bioware folks should be discouraged from interacting with fans, wherever that happens. One person interacting in one place and not the other doesn't have to represent company policy. It can just be what that one person wants to take the initiative to do. I don't think anyone should be castigated for that.
  18. Thanks Jackie, it's good to hear official word of this on the forums. I like my inventory to stay the way I organize it.
  19. You're welcome! Sorry if I am missing a part of your point, but I feel like the comments I shared do indicate that we will have a static inventory where things go where we want, once this bug is addressed. As it stands, in the game currently, we have various sorting options. But nothing gets sorted if we don't specifically ask the game to sort our inventory. (I never ask the game to sort many of my characters' inventories, so I know this to be true.) Surely the issue, then, is with the PTS sorting our inventory constantly, without us asking it to do so? The discord user directly ahead of BioChris said: "I have a way I like to organize my loot." And, in response to that, BioChris said that the current PTS inventory sorting is a bug. Surely the implication is that, once the bug is fixed, sorting according to the game's various categories will be completely optional, and the order will be left as we like if we don't ask our stuff to be sorted.
  20. Right, I went on the SWTOR Theorycrafters Discord to see if I could get any answer on this. BioChris, who has the Bioware server role, said there four days ago that auto-sort is a bug. Quick snip of the question and comment included for proof.
  21. Unfortunately, I am not surprised. Playtesters gave extensive feedback on the 6.0 crafting, offering many criticisms but constructively phrased. And very little was changed pre-release. More was changed post-release, but still not addressing all the points we made. My feeling at the time - rightly or wrongly - was that BW had put so much work into changing crafting that they could not justify scrapping the changes without giving them a chance to sink or swim live. But, in the event, what people said about the live version was largely the same as the criticism we playtesters had been offering. Aggravating as this experience is, I do feel empathy for the devs. I think most people want to feel like the work they do makes a positive difference. We don't want to labour hard on something and then just see it get thrown out. That being the case... something about this design and testing approach needs to change. There should be more opportunity for constructive criticism to be given at a point where the design can be improved without a massive loss of work.
  22. Agreed, I do not like this "auto sort" at all. I want the option for things to stay where I put them.
  23. It's not that I think they don't care. But I think their systems are likely too far along for them to make significant changes and still release when they want. I'd love to be wrong and for them to consider feedback more than it seems like they're doing. But I don't expect it. In all seriousness, it's a hard line to tow. The things people think they'll enjoy or hate aren't always what they actually enjoy or hate. So I can see the temptation for developers to say "players don't realize it yet, but they will actually love this." Because if that turns out to be the case, they got the best result and they didn't need to change their plan or redo a lot of work. But I am feeling sufficiently cold about a lot of the announced changes, and seeing so many people expressing similar views, that I am finding it very hard to think that we might all be so wrong about what we'll enjoy.
