  1. +100 Psychic points! Or foresight points? Perhaps we should have all seen this coming.
  2. Good point. Ah, sadly, this seems to be the case - so my decision is made. This month will be my last month.
  3. Thanks Joveth, appreciate the clarification. From your end, I imagine it is pretty difficult staying on top of things in such a changing working environment atm.
  4. Yeah, it ain't helping the immersion either. Like fixing 4 holes, and saying "great job, done" with four other tanks leaking behind you. But just the nature of MMOs; and as you point out, it is much worse when you have to wait around endlessly for respawns... I think scouting for the weapons crates during Criminal Crackdown is probably the worst of the lot. Perhaps they should just instance the drall engineer mission, like the hyperspace warehouse one; and maybe something similar with the tanks.
  5. Well maybe, to quote Grandpa Simpson, ' A little from column A, a little from column B.'
  6. It just struck me, what ever happened to the new community team? So I went back to the thread and found a great quote: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=468824&highlight=community+Team&page=7 That was on the 31st of May; so I suppose it is unrealistic to have expected the goal of bringing the community, com team, and devs closer together - but am I the only one feeling that communication has actually gotten worse and less common as a result? Did a search of Joveth's posts lately, and most of them are to advise of servers up/down, CS down, "we are aware of this issue and are actively working"... I suppose it was foolish to expect the interaction on anything more than a basic level to last. I'm getting the feeling that most of us who are left are in the process of trying to figure out whether we should stick with the game for a few more months, or just give up on the evidence of the last few patches. So a little interaction, and making us feel like Bioware Austin ain't just a Potemkin-ville, would be nice around now (for me, at least).
  7. +1 - spot on. The most pithy summary of the dev's communication with the community to date. It would be funnier if it weren't so disappointing.
  8. Gotta be Gault - the man has wit. I even like the "Thank you, I'll be signing autographs once the smoke clears." Way less annoying than some of the other whiny companions. I actually like the guy the more time I spend with him.
  9. I agree. I understand that letting everyone move everywhere may not solve the pop or balance problems, thus they haven't allowed it; but letting the Oceanic players move isn't going to affect this and will make everyone happy. I did the same thing as OP, and am now stuck; with only one of my chars eligible to be moved. It would be nice to reunite my legacy!
  10. Kudos to the OP - this is the most eloquent post on the problem I have read. If only the devs could take note, and at least tell us they recognise this. I agree with the addition suggested by others here - lack of endgame content + lack of server pop to share it with leads to the exodus of subs. I'm generally more of a PvPer, and my sub is up in mid June. I just dont think that 1.3 is enough to keep me on. And as the OP points out, leveling an alt would be fun if I didn't have to grind through all the same areas and missions again for the fourth time. I desperately want this game to succeed; but I share the sinking feeling that others do here, and fear it might be too late. Well, there is always the Elder Scrolls. But if Bioware created a single player MMO then what hope is there for Bethesda?
  11. Yeah I know; the problem is mostly psychological. Just knowing that it could be the tiniest bit better...
  12. That is pretty awesome. It would make me feel better to be killed by such a refined lady.
  13. Ah, thanks for the info. That is good news - I know this is probably not a concern for most. Although given the ugliness of some of the new high end gear, and the problem of appearance uniformity, I'm guessing quite a few players will be searching for unique looks in unusual places...
  14. I have to say, I am disappointed that we won't be able to crit craft social gear in 1.2. I understand that this is probably to avoid people selling pilot's gear that should be earned with commendations and so forth... but I really love my terribly, terribly lame civilian pilot's gear. Plus, it doesn't look like I'm a sage in pvp; which has fooled many an Imp. Comes in handy. So hey, Bioware, how about finding a way to make it work so we can wear the social gear we love and still keep up to spec? Also, does anyone else out there wear any of the social gear, other than the pilot's stuff? I gues, since most of it (all) is light armor, it is only worthwhile for consulars/inquisitors/jaunty pilots etc.
