  1. See, I don't even know what this means. Part of the raid difficulty is organizing 8/16 other people and you just can't replicate that in solo content, which is why they should never dumb down ops like that.
  2. I'll never understand the people who post here thinking that they are above criticism.
  3. I've always imagined dual-spec working in this game like an addon to field respec. You use the normal field respec ability but then you do a separate action to apply a template which fills in your talent points and populates your action bars. Sorry if I came off a bit...curt. Dual-spec would help me a lot and I genuinely don't understand people arguing against it...at least as I describe it above.
  4. Why do people consistently argue this? What in the world makes you think "field respec" and "dual-spec" are mutually exclusive? No one anywhere has argued that "field respec" should be removed for "dual-spec". You haven't had to switch from healer to DPS before, have you? while it may only vacate a few item slots, it invalidates the whole bar layout you had. You may still have those base heal abilities, but you certainly don't want them in prominent positions anymore.
  5. I don't know about your server, but on mine your "pattern" is non-existent. From recent packs, Xoxaan's set, Ajunta Pall's, and Malak's Shadow set go for very cheap whereas the Reaver set or the Temple Guardian set or the Ceremonial Mystic's set goes for quite a lot more. This "pattern" is either cherry-picked data to attempt to support your point or, probably more likely, no data at all and rather just wild speculation based on a few GTN searches. You really don't seem to understand the difference between being able to do something and actually doing it. Just because someone made spaghetti, farfalle, penne, or fusilli doesn't mean they are unable to make ravioli. Have you considered that perhaps this idea you're personally so fond of is unappealing to the vast majority of people that play this game and is why they have never bothered to do such a thing? Something tells me that concept hasn't crossed your mind because your "pattern" has been to be really self-involved. Its what you want, right? You have consistently ignored the fact that ANYONE who forms a guild can impose a guild uniform and kick out anyone who doesn't comply. The ability is there, the four tools needed to accomplish this already exist: The ability to invite people to a guild The ability to communicate with the people you ginvite to tell them of your policy The ability to see what people are wearing The ability to remove someone from your guild who doesn't comply That is literally all you need to implement your uniform idea, but you insist on the developers spending their time on something specific to you and your desires. Your self-centered mentality even goes further, you go on to say: So not only do you think that BW should spend time developing you a guild uniform mechanism, but now you think that they should also make you specific outfits for use as guild uniforms. How many man hours should be spent appeasing you? (Cue the "lots of people I talk to in-game want this!" argument with no proof...certainly none in this thread.)
  6. Ok, that's an insane amount of mats. That's 39,600 individual items. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but maybe start crafting things instead of hoarding?
  7. Just because no one has done it doesn't mean its impossible. You can absolutely do it right now. Why do you think you couldn't? You've chosen not to do it, that's an entirely different thing. Nooooooo...don't put this back on him, you said: implying very strongly that anyone with half a brain could figure it out, and yet when I press you on it you have no made it Rattajack's problem. You're the one that made this claim, so why can't you answer these simple questions I posed to the solution you provided as so simply its worth scoffing at someone for not understanding.
  8. Legacy storage is coming in a few weeks so, problem solved. I...don't understand this request. Why? Are you afraid you'll lose your money? There isn't even a way (that I'm aware of) to accidentally throw money away. This request makes no sense at all, there is no benefit to it in the least.
  9. You...don't understand how MAC addresses work. BW's servers literally never see anyone's MAC address.

    Tanks

I think that sins were shafted for quite some time and now they happen to be on the upswing. It happens in an MMO with the constant balancing, but my favorite tank is my sin so I'm glad we're on an upswing. I only really want to touch #4 right now though. Maybe this opinion will be hated, but as a long-time former WoW player, I like the way they do set bonuses here. Instead of trying to come up with new ones for every tier ala WoW, they made ones that work and let them be interchangeable between tiers. This is far superior to me. You don't get tiers that have garbage bonuses and you don't end up in 2:2 limbo where you are only 1/2 way through building your new set. From BW's perspective its obviously more cost effective to find bonuses that work and keep them as opposed to people trying to find new and inventive ways to implement set bonuses and then test all the potential balance issues introduced as a result. For talents, I think that they should take a page out of WoW's book and trim down the tree to some degree. Not to the level of current-WoW (I think that's boring...you can't make something both meaningful and not meaningful at the same time) but trim the trees down to the stuff that matters and make the boring talents inherent in the spec.
  11. Well firstly, the insulting is really helpful to your arguments, I'm sure that will help your point. On to the point. You seem to think that everyone thinks the exact same way as you which is a pretty limited. What's your threshold for "highly desired"? 100,000 credits? 1,000,000? If something isn't on the GTN (potentially because no one has any for sale) does that automatically make it undesired? You're suggesting BW create a team to monitor the GTN and change what is excluded from your proposed system (that isn't necessary but we've covered that) as the market fluctuates...that doesn't seem cost effective from BW's perspective at all. What happens if someone spends a whole lot of time designing the perfect guild uniform out of GTN trash and then suddenly the whole server sees this uniform and starts trying to duplicate it and the GTN prices sky rocket? Does that guild then lose the ability to use that armor set? This whole proposal is so ridiculously niche and rife with problems, potential market exploitation, and unnecessary costs for BW I'm not sure why anyone's still talking about it. Everyone who is able to, should absolutely post any ideas that they think will improve the game and anyone who disagrees should also make their point known. I don't think anyone should be silenced...but I think there's a time when good sense should prevail and one admits their idea might not have been well thought out or implementable.
  12. So you're just going to report all posts that disagree with you now, eh? Good debate strategy, silence the people pointing out the issues. As has been mentioned again and again and again to the point of ridiculousness, you can already do this, it just doesn't give it to you for free (whether its highly desired or not). If a guild wants to do this right now, at this very moment, they can impose these rules and make it a condition of guild membership. There's no need for BW to spend money on a system that is ripe for exploitation of the market.
  13. Yeesh...necro'ing a month and a half dead thread. Although at least its just some trivia about Vader as opposed to more whining about wanting an "I WIN" button.
  14. You're using a false analogy to make your point seem more valid. To be more accurate its like someone forcing you to buy their cokes for a mealy $.75 IF you chose to enter their store and IF you go to a place that was known to likely cause soda craving or a random small inconvenience and CHOOSING to buy the soda instead of suffering the random small inconvenience. Soo...not at all like your analogy.
  15. What're you taking about? Clearly, as I'm sure the OP will confirm, its simply as easy as changing #include <HeroEngine.h> to #include <UnrealEngine.h> Source: I saw C code once...
  16. Of course he is, because what's a highly desirable armor set without a highly desirable color crystal and weapon? Give everyone the Black Nebula Blaster and the Cathar Honor Sword! The OP is so deep in his own lie its ridiculous. The motivation is clear to anyone: OP wants things for free.
  17. Adapt to the market? Blasphemy!! We must alter the market to cater to crafters!
  18. In another thread I looked at last night he claimed to be using a tablet. If that's the case, then his tablet might be the only one in existence to not have the "pinch zoom" feature. I mean, if you think about it, its pretty clear. If he couldn't read the normal text size of this website (the size it uses for the forums) then how could he have ever setup an account in the first place? How does he login to post things? The website doesn't cater to him and make things all caps. I could have almost bought it if it was just the text size, but asking for all caps decreases readability, and when he was originally posting he was only asking for all caps, not an increase in text size. The three pixel height difference between capital and lower case letters couldn't viably increase readability.
  19. I can't believe people are still falling for this...
  20. I think something cosmetic would be awesome! Some really cool customizable gear/weapon shells is a great idea. I think I'm like valor 20 or something so I'd never get it but I think it would be an awesome thing to recognize the people who did.
  21. I've provided multiple avenues for character progression that don't include more gear and you simply ignore them...you refuse to acknowledge the argument because it doesn't fit your world view. You see progression as more stats and when presented with an idea that is contrary to that you cover your ears and scream and pretend you didn't hear it. Its sad that you are so stuck in that mindset. You also refuse to respond to my question: if your view of "progression" is "more stat", what do you do if they allow you to craft BiS gear after a week when you're done crafting? Do you quit the game because you're done? Do you complain for more "stat"? What do you do? What is the end goal in your scenario? Why can't you do whatever it is you'd do once you get BiS without BiS? Why are you so hung up on wanting what other people have? Is that how you act in the real world?
  22. From my perspective you're the one who is narrow minded. You are stuck in this idea of higher gear stats as progression, but to what end? Raiders get better gear to complete fights and prepare for the next content...you want better gear to...what? Sit around fleet? You're the one who refuses to see character progression as achievements or PVP valor rank or GSF or reputation grinding. You're the one who's stuck into thinking that you want better gear. Basically your arguments in this thread boil down to two things: "Crafters don't have enough to do!" To this the response is "wait for GSH". Once that drops you can craft a ton of end tables and lamps and posters for walls and the problem is solved. "I believe I deserve BiS gear for 'character progression'!" This is the entitled attitude. This is the narrow minded view point. You don't need the gear, you want it because someone else has it and you thought "ME TOO!". There is nothing you need it for but you refuse to accept the other options available as character progression. You refuse to accept anything other than higher stats as character progression. That's really it, its not a strawman because these are, in fact, your arguments. Those are the only two possible mindsets in feeling like you want BiS gear without putting in the effort. The first I can see the point of view, but its being resolved in GSH. The second is just entitlement, pure and simple. Also, you still refuse to say what you'd do if you did get BiS gear. Log off and delete the game because then, according to your narrow minded view point, there is no more progression and you're done. If you have something you'd do after you got BiS gear...just do that now and stop asking for handouts.
  23. Better than what? You claim I'm here to be a jerk but I disagree, I'm simply poking holes in your argument and you're unhappy because you're not rebutting it, you just keep saying "I want better stuff without putting in the same effort as other people!". You don't need it. You saw it was available to raiders and you thought to yourself "I don't want to put in the same effort as raiders but I want the same gear...no...I DESERVE the same gear!". You don't even know why you want it other than because someone else has it. I can't understand your point of view because I can't bend my mind to believe that you deserve something for less effort than other people have expended. You can already make gear that will allow you to easily complete any of the solo content available. Why isn't that enough? Why do you think that because someone else has something you also deserve it? What would you do if you had it? What would you do for "progression" then? Just do that now instead of asking for handouts.
  24. Right, so you aren't really asking for more things for crafters, you're using that as a thin veil for saying "I want the things that I haven't put the time or effort into". That argument has fallen apart on you leaving the smelly entitlement husk behind. If you want that gear, then put in the effort. It should be as simple as that but you want everything handed to you without putting in the effort. So then we go to "you don't need that gear" because if you're not raiding...you just don't, you want it, and those are vastly different. Now you say "I want to progress my character!" while we all infer the "without putting in effort" prologue. So you can do achievements, or any number of things that don't require you to have the highest end PVE gear, but you're not happy with that either. So we come to an impasse. We tell you the things you can do and you kick your feet and scream because you want the things that other people have but don't want to put in the same effort. Edit: what happens if they give you what you want? You claim now that it's for "character progression" but if they give you this you'll be decked out in BiS in a week. Then what? You're back here complaining? Neat. End thread.
