  1. BioWare Representatives had discussed re-coding of the game to allow more items to stack up to 99. Yet, they have failed to address another issue that would aid our playing and collecting of items. As everyone knows, the individual person's Bags and Cargo Holds have an option to compact items down; so, all of the empty spaces left in your Bags and Cargo Hold are left at the end of the individual tabs. However, as some of us have many, many Cargo Hold tabs, why not combined the items from the all tabs into 1 tab, stacking them up to 99. For Example: 1 Rackghoul DNA Sample in tab 2 of your Cargo Hold and 22 are placed in Tab 5 of your Cargo Hold. When you click the option Compact, the 22 from Tab 5 will combined with the 1 from Tab 2 and you will have 23 in Tab 2. Where, if you have 99 in Tab 2 and 4 in Tab 5, the 4 would not combined with the 99 in Tab 2. Second, why doesn't Legacy Vaults have a Compact option? If BioWare could please do this and implement the first of the suggestions here into the game with Legacy Vaults and Cargo Holds and Bags, it would help us better organize our items and our individual Tabs. In addition, if BioWare would be so kind as to maybe make it so Compact places the same items immediately next to each other when there is either a stack of 99 or the item is not able to stack but you have multiple of the same item. We players would thank you for these options. =D
  2. You are most welcome. I tried to keep on point where I could but thought it was important to clarify who we were as well. Yesterday, although we've been players from game launch, just celebrated our 5th week as our official guild in Star Wars. To answer your question... Yes. After 15 minutes of being in-active you are deemed AFK and after 20 minutes you are returned to character screen. I have had the case where I personally have been organizing my Cargo Holds or Shopping on the GTN or typing a ticket or writing in-game mails and have been, in the middle, booted for in-activity from the game. I thought that I was maybe the only one experiencing this issue but when a guild member of mine and friend for over a year of game play together also mentioned the same exact issue over multiple days and weeks of knowing him, I decided that it should be made as a suggestion with respect to maybe not having people booted from characters because they doing the fore-mentioned activities. Hope that helps clarify the reason for that specific suggestion. I want to thank you for clarifying how you might possibly know the experiences BioWare is dealing with regarding Star Wars. I don't claim that BioWare will do any of the suggestions I made on behalf of Utopian, but at the same time, I believe it is important to make suggestions and keep those suggestions coming in order to better every one's gaming experience. Realistically, if they even choose to do just one or two of the suggestions over the course of Star Wars, I'd be happy as well as the Utopian Guild would be overjoyed that they used one or two of our suggestions. Of course, it would be awesome if they do all of them eventually, but they can only work with what they have and over the time they have. Happy hunting everyone and hope to see everyone in game. =D
  3. That was a suggestion my fellow guild mates had made as well, last night. So Utopian guild is 100% behind your suggestion. Excellent, excellent idea...
  4. Personally, I would like to say that it is troublesome and a hindrance to be infected every six hours, if I fail to pay for a Rakghoul Vaccine or have a relic special to the event. I understand that some people find it assuming to run around fleet, infected and spread it like wild-fire, but they stand in the most annoying spots. The quick travel point. The GTN. The areas where players are trying to enjoy their own game play experience. I know, I can't count how many times I've been driven away from the GTN or Guild Vaults or Cargo Holds because of someone running up with the Rakghoul Plague. Yes, I have a Cargo Hold on my ship and a GTN vendor devise as well, but sometimes, like I am sure every one in the game, I like the company of other players around me. General chat for Fleet or any planet doesn't extend to your ship, and on quiet mornings, afternoons, etc. It can sometimes be fun and amusing to watch general chat or be able to participate in general chats on fleet. I hate always having to be on my ship to avoid Rakghoul plague. I am also aware that the Plague Vaccine doesn't even always last for 6 hours. The other day, for example, I was running the Rakghoul event and had to pop 4 vaccines because they failed to stop the plague from infecting me. I want Legend with the THORN merely because it is something to add to my achievements list, but I kind of have to agree, they should be an option for a more permanent vaccine from the Rakghoul event plague. A different vaccine that doesn't wear off over time but can be popped and dissolves only if attacked by a rakghoul directly. This means Taris or the Rakghoul Tunnels and not by people exploding all over you....
  5. I want to apologize that you found it difficult to follow the thread. I could, I agree, have used a simpler and more direct explanation of my guild's concepts and ideas for their suggestions to the Developers. That is my own fault. What the biggest portion of this text document is, are the examples or explanations to each general concept. I realized afterward that they are two number six suggestion and eight actual suggestions posted. Believe it or not, the person who suggested this concept to me inside the guild didn't mention a single idea behind scammers on the GTN. The person was of preferred status and thought it a good way so as to allow them to carry more credits on their characters without needing to purchase outrageously over priced escro-accounts for each of their characters or an account wide escro-account from the GTN. The suggestion to add it for Subscribers was my own addition to the general idea they had. May I ask... Why only only it for subscribers? Subscribers can carry as much currency as they wish on their characters. How to implement the concept of a personal Cargo Hold Bank could be one or all three of the following ways: 1. a drop in a cartel market pack 2. purchased from your character's individual legacy perks for 175,000. 3. purchasing from your legacy account server-wide perks for 350,000. Yes, the price is high for the unlock, but afterward a player, even F2P or Preferred, could easily make the total completely up in running of daily quests or mission logs. Secondly, I can see your point about the scammers on the GTN. I know of a couple friends who have been taken from vending players and quickly found themselves short on credits afterward. If someone has horrible eye sight or is tired or simply isn't able to pay attention thanks to being made AFK or helping others with questions, or whatever the case may personally be to mistake a comma for a period and vice-verse. Might I ask, how can we as players be completely sure what the developers have and don't have with regard to resources? How is it, you can say with certainty that EA won't allow BioWare to develop some of these ideas? Are you an Executive in EA? Are you a Developer for Star Wars The Old Republic? Players like us make suggestions with the hope that they are heard and seen by those with the authority to decide such things. If others come along and state such things... [see your quote immediately above] It could discourage a good already from becoming even better. Now, understand that I am saying all these ideas are wonderful or that I personally agree with each and every idea I posted here, but I'm posting these ideas as the duly elected individual appointed to represent my fellow guild mate's ideas to BioWare and regardless of my thoughts, I am going to do it against anyone who believes posting suggestions, no matter how long or short, etc. against anyone who claims that making suggestions is a complete waste of time due to inadequate resources offered by EA or BioWare Developers; especially since we as players can't personally or even in-personally knowledge of what resources they do and do not have. With that stated, understand that my personal feels toward each of these ideas are: I agree with all of them whole hardheartedly. I believe in the concepts and ideas my guild mates spoke of with me and I am sure they will come up with other wonderful suggestions to make to BioWare, and once they have, I will be glad to post them all again. Rest assured, however, I will try to better post them in a more coherent manner than I did with this individual post. Happy hunting and hope to see all you wonderful players in-game.
  6. Suggestion 5 is meant for some people who are in the mind set, they have credits, they must spend said credits. This would mean that they would still have credits for repair if they ran out of what was on their person. An insurance, as it were.
  7. Quick clarification at the close. The Dye Combination Kits crafted by Armortech and Synthweavers would not be bound to legacy. They, like the dyes crafted would be able to sold on the GTN or in-game to other players. It is only the schematic that is bound to legacy.
  8. I cannot speak for anyone else on this board, but, I do hold the authority to speak on behalf of the guild in which I am a member. We are a small guild and we focus mainly on enjoying each other's company and helping other people [both new and experienced players alike.] With that said, we in our guild would like to make a magnitude of suggestions starting with this post and continuing later as more and more suggestions come in. I would be happy to form a petition here on swtor.com forums if it would help to get some of these changes made or done quicker. It is simple, please just add your comments as players on with a score between 1 and 10 toward the suggestions and please label it for easier understanding for the Developers to understand. =) The higher the score given, the more you like the post or agree it should be done. Anyway, here is the first few suggestions we in Utopian on The Shadowlands server believe would improve the game... 1. We in Utopian are tired of always having difficulty staying in game when looking at the GTN; entering a ticket with the in-game developers; viewing our in-game mail and responding to them, viewing different character appearances, etc. Thus, our suggestion as guild is: If viewing the GTN, accessing one's in-game mail, entering a ticket with the developers, etc. Do not boot them from the server. It makes entering the information much more difficult and far more annoying toward the players. Many of us pay to play Star Wars and enjoy the opportunity to occasionally speak with friends. 2. We in Utopian feel, we as players are being cheated out of space in our in-game mail, our guild MOTD's, descriptions, etc. We seem to only hold something like 100 characters. When entering an MOTD or trying to communicate with Friends with In-Game mail, or Describe our guilds, etc. we shouldn't need to send four or five messages and break ideas or passages in two simply to speak with friends via-game mail. Please, please increase character spacing in all available spaces. We understand that General Chat and using the Chat windows require limited characters and believe that this limit shouldn't change; but all others should. 3. Increasing of Mission Logs or Available Missions able to be taken. One way in which BioWare could happen to undergo this and increase the amount of missions in one log is simply don't count the bonus missions against the max number of quests you are permitted and increase the total from 25 to something like 30 or more quests permitted. With this suggestion, we in Utopian believe that people trying to group through Group Finder [Which for the most part is an excellent concept] shouldn't need to only have 24 missions in order to access or use group finder. This means dropping or eliminating possible missions you are trying to complete in order to achieve rewards, etc. Hence, Group Finder should activate whether a person has 24 or 25 missions regardless. It was our understanding that Group Finder was designed to aid people in grouping to complete quests, not prohibit or limit the ability of one person to complete missions or enjoy each other's company. 4. More space in Cargo Holds... Why only allow a player to purchase 4 cargo holds and maintain 5 cargo holds per character? We in Utopian believe that a player should be able to purchase upwards of 10 cargo holds with a varying scale of price for purchase. With this, we in Utopian believe that a player should also be able to view a condensed view of all items in their cargo hold when compacting. If a player chooses compact, or sort, etc. They shouldn't simply have the items sorted in the individual cargo hold, but in all cargo holds should be condensed and all open spots should appear on the bottom. Also, make an option to sort by type of gear and name of gear and combined these similar or name matches together in one cargo hold. How is a player supposed to know whether they necessarily have whole sets of pieces or gear if they need to search through 50 trillion items to find possibly a glove or belt, etc. in order to complete sets. 5. In cargo holds, place a tab for credit deposits. I understand that BioWare has established an Escro-Account for Preferred and F2P people; why can't subscribers have something similar. Why must their characters carry all their credits? Allow them to deposit a certain amount in their cargo holds as a type of bank. Allow, i.e. Subscribers to deposit upwards of 2,000,000 credits in account in their cargo hold, Preferred can deposit upwards of 200,000; and F2P when they receive a cargo hold deposit upwards of 75,000 in credits: without any fees to access or use the funds or pull funds from the account. Yes, this creates another option for repairs. Thus not always requiring a guild to repair their equipment, but doesn't always require a person to have immediate funds on them. They can, out in the world, simply repair if necessary without using the funds they may only to move a character from one part of the map to another via taxi points, etc. 6. Guild Banks. Much of this has to do with Managing your guild banks and I am sure many other Guild Leaders would agree; why can't BioWare place in the Ledger an additional column that reads Overall Deposits? Thus allowing a Guild Leader or Officer or Whomever may have permission to view the Ledger the capability of seeing how much [since the person joined a guild or since the guild bank was first purchased] has placed in the guild bank over its entire life. The second portion of this is: ADD A LOAN OPTION into the vault. If a person takes a loan out, a certain % of their quest rewards would be taken from the player until all their loans are paid back. This loan option would be connected to a server wide account, and only one character on that account may be granted a loan from any and all guilds at a time. Therefore, if a player takes a loan out, and then jumps guilds, that person cannot take another loan out until their previous loan was repaid in full. The guild leaders could then place a series of pay back requirement on these loans of to 10% of a person's credit amount to be taken at game reset each day until the loan has been completely repaid and the funds would immediately be transferred to the guild bank. The third portion of this is: ADD AN INTEREST SYSTEM into the Vaults. If a Guild has 1,000,000 or more credits in its vaults, it receives a .005% interest rate and each month would receive 425 credits from the game per 1 million credits in the Vault. Thus, as an example, if a guild has 24,450,000... They would receive 24 X 425 credits = 10,200 credits. For those interested, I used a simple formula used by most banks in determining the 425 earned interest credit. The formula is: ( ( X * % ) 31 days ) / 365 = interest earned or needed to be paid. See detailed description below: ( ( 1,000,000 * .005%) 31 ) / 365 ( ( 5,000 ) 31 ) / 365 155,000 / 365 424.6575342465753 {If I may get off topic here momentarily, I want to thank my Statistic's Teacher in College. She did a wonderful job teaching this equation to me and thanks to her, I am able to quickly determine the amount interest I need to pay on my loans, debts, etc. or what interest I have earned in my accounts from having specific minimum amount of money contained within.} 6. Controlling the Economy and Running of The GTN We find that some of the biggest issues is the Outrageous prices able to be collected on certain items on the GTN. Thus, we as a guild recommend much more an auction house feel. This would allow a player of any caliber to purchase items on the GTN or participate in receiving items. It is a simple concept and easily done. The player simply places the amount they wish to receive for an item in the Price Box. The game then automatically generates an Auction Price for the item at an 45% discounted rate. I.E. if an item is listed at 1,000,000 credits on the sale price, the minimum bid for an item would need to meet 550,000 in order to receive the item. The seller would only need to click an option that says: Auction Item when creating a sale in order to access the option to sell the item. If the item is purchased directly, the auction then ends. If the item doesn't reach the minimum auction price set by the game then the item doesn't sell. If the item exceeds the sale price set by the game, the game takes 10% of whatever the final sale price is and 10% of the items sale price. Thus, in the fore-mentioned example: The owner / seller would receive on an auctioned item: 495,000 credits out of a sold item of 550,000 credits. The owner / seller would not be required to choose Auction Item as well, but if they do, they don't set the minimum sale price for the item, The Game Sets the price automatically based on their asking price. On the purchasee side of the item screen, it would give the option to place bid if the item is eligible for auction or buy out-right. Players then shouldn't complain about having lack of space in their Cargo holds because items aren't selling or aren't able to sell to vendors when it comes to Cartel Market items for example. They would also at least obtain something rather than destroy the items and receive absolutely nothing for their purchase of cartel items. The second part to this suggestion from the Utopian guild is always, always register items based on the lowest price to the Highest. We are tired of always having to click and re-click Unit Pricing in order to view price differences and organize the GTN in ascending or descending order appropriately. 7. Unlocks and Collections-- Specifically Dye Modules Like the Color Crystals purchased from the Cartel Market, why aren't Dyes able to be unlocked on your collections? We in Utopian don't see the reason why a player shouldn't be eligible to unlock dye modules in their collections. We do, however, understand the concept of destroying dye modules if pulled from an item. But not the part about collections. With this, why not create more schematics and allow artifice to craft more individual primary and secondary dyes; Synthweavers and Armortech craft kits similar to the Augments for attaching to armor pieces? Place in the game a vendor that sells both primary and secondary dyes modules and schematics for the fore-mentioned crew skill players. The vendor could then also seller kits for upwards of 70,000 that allow players to go to a work bench in game and combine different dye modules together... For example, a player purchases a primary orange dye and a combination kit from the vendor and then goes to the GTN and purchases a secondary black module... They then go to a work bench and pay 35,000 and makes a Orange / Black dye module. That is bound strictly to that player. The dye modules the vendor would sell could be bound to legacy. Thus preventing them from flooding the GTN with different dye concepts, but still keeping in the ability of maintaining a unique appearance. Vendor Prices and Items: Dye Combination Kits: 70,000 purpose: takes an individual primary and individual secondary dye module and combines them into one dye pack. this dye pack then becomes bound to your legacy. Primary Dye Schematic Sold: Dyes Schematics are bound to legacy and require 450 Artifice to craft, but dyes crafted are not bound Orange 100,000 Blue 100,000 Black 250,000 White 250,000 Silver 500,000 Gold 250,000 Red 100,000 Secondary Dye Schematic Sold: Dye Schematics are bound to legacy and require 450 Artifice to craft, but dyes crafted are not bound Orange 100,000 Black 250,000 Blue 100,000 Yellow: 100,000 Brown: 100,000 White: 250,000 Combination Kit Schematic 55,000 bound to legacy Crafts 1 Dye Combination Kit Requires 450 Synthweaver or Armortech Vendor would also sell each of those dyes mentioned above at 4.5 X's the asking price for the schematic.
  9. Everything to do with generalized Reputation events and items as rewards are each legacy bound, yet the individual Repuation Tokens received are not. Why? It is my purposal that in addition to the rewards purchased from being a specific reputation level being legacy bound, BioWare make the individual Reputation Tokens Legacy bound as well instead of just character bound. This should also go for anything received regarding special items such as the Grey Helix, The Rakghoul DNA Canister, etc. If you choose not to have the Reputation Tokens and special rewards as mentioned above being Legacy Bound instead of just character bound, why has BioWare done this?
  10. In doing the math, one would see, 1000 Columi Commendations + 130 Tionese Commendations + 715,000 credits would only equal out to be: 13 Black Hole Commendations + 1/3 of the columi commendations toward your next 1 Black Hole Commendation. Right now, you receive 10 Black Hole Commendations for doing a Group Finder Story Mode Eternity Vault or Karagga's Palace. Looking at Beta. The issue was, the developers made it a 2:1 ratio. However, in using the ratio I provided in the initial suggestion would mean, a person would need to farm gray quests long and hard just to receive 1 Black Hole Commendation. Taking on average of 10,500 credits, it would take someone doing just Ilum Dailies 68 Days of game play to receive the 715,000 credits needed to pay for the 13 Black Hole Commendations.
  11. To answer your question as to just 1 commendation is to make it less tempting to hoard the low Lvl commendations and trade up. That is the same reason as to the high cost recommendation for the Columi, Black Hole, and Tionese commendations as an example. As for Hoarding Commendations, right now, a character can only hold 1000 Commendations. Therefore, even for example if someone hoarded their commendations for higher end commendations, you would need to hoard far beyond the limit of 1000 commendations. 1000 Tython Commendations would take a long time to hoard up for only 100 Coruscant Commendations. 100 Coruscant Commendations would only get you 6 Taris Commendations. The 6 Taris Commendations is only 1/3 roughly of what is needed for your Nar Shaddaa Commendations. 1000 Nar Shaddaa Commendations would only get you 40 Alderaan Commendations. Of course, this is not counting what you would need in credits once you leave Alderaan to switch up for Balmorran Commendations. 40 Alderaan Commendations with 5,000 credits would only get you 1 Balmorran Commendation and leave you with 10 Alderaan Commendations. This is only a 1/3 of what you would need in Commendations alone to get the next Balmorran Commendation. You would still need another 5,000 credits and 20 more Alderaan Commendations just to receive 1 Balmorran Commendation. As for the person stating: Commendations are practically Legacy Bound because you can purchase the items and pass them onto your Alts. That is not entirely true. Some of these items are Bound on Pick Up. Not Bound on Equip. Although the commendations for which you receive for doing quests are Bound on Pick Up.
  12. This has been an idea swimming around my head almost since game launch. What to do with my older planet commendations? The game developers really never seemed to consider the idea of a person moving up the planets and having out dated commendations from the planets from which they just completed. Therefore, I slowly started to formulate this idea in my head. Why not do a commendations vendor exchange? As I normally play on the Republic side of the game, I will use the order in which the Republic player starts and operates. 10 Tython or Ord Mantell Commendations = 1 Coruscant Commendation 15 Coruscant Commendations = 1 Taris Commendation 20 Taris = 1 Nar Shaddaa Commendation 25 Nar Shaddaa = 1 Alderaan Commendation 30 Alderaan + 5,000 credits = 1 Balmorran Commendation 30 Balmorran + 6,500 credits = 1 Quesh Commendation 30 Quesh + 8,000 credits = 1 Hoth Commendation 35 Hoth + 10,000 credits = 1 Belsavis Commendation 35 Belsavis + 12,500 credits = 1 Voss Commendation 35 Voss + 14,000 credits = 1 Correllia Commendation 35 Correllia + 20,000 credits = 1 Daily Commendation 75 Daily Commendations + 35,000 credits = 1 Tionese Commendation + 10 Tionese Crystals 75 Tionese Commendations + 15 Tionese Crystals + 45,000 credits = 1 Columi Commendation 75 Columi Commendations + 10 Tionese Commendations + 55,000 credits = 1 Black Hole Commendation The Commendations Exchange Vendors could be located on each factions fleet and for the planets themselves, at each planet's space port and/or orbital station. For Example: If the Lvl 50 had 150 Tionese Commendations + 30 Tionese Crystals, they would need to pay 90,000 credits to receive 2 Columi Commendations. For any lvl 50 doing their regular daily commendations runs, this would not be an issue.
  13. Over the past week and a half, people with whom I had spoken thought this was an excellent idea. Therefore, with that said, they encouraged me to bring this idea to BioWare for their consideration. As almost everyone is aware, an artifice at current can create eight types of basic color crystals. 1 yellow + _______ to crit 1 yellow + _______ to endurance 1 blue + ______ to crit 1 blue + ______ to endurance 1 green + _______ to crit 1 green + ______ to endurance 1 red + _______ to crit 1 red + _______ to endurance Also, in addition to these, the purple schematics for which a person can reverse engineer gives a bonus to each style of crystal. For example: A level 7 green schematic crystal gives only +2 to your base stat of either crit or endurance, while a lvl 7 purple schematic gives +4 to the same base stat. Understanding this fact is tantamount to understanding this suggestion to BioWare, because, it is our suggestion, the people with whom I spoke and mine, that BioWare impliment a combination crystal. What this combination would require is: 1 blue or purple schematic of each crystal type. Example: An artifice would make 16 blue lvl 7 crystal schematics 2- blue + 3 to crit 2- blue + 3 to end 2- green + 3 to crit 2- green + 3 to end 2- red + 3 to crit 2- red + 3 to end 2- yellow + 3 to crit 2- yellow + 3 to end They would take these 8 crystals once entirely crafted and take them to a work bench. Either on the Fleet, Tython, Coruscant, Nar Shaddaa, their ships, etc. There, they would have the option to combined all 8 crystals into one crystal. That new created crystal would be a new color crystal, such as Silver or Veridian, and have attributes from each of the crystal types used to create it. In the fore-mentioned example with the lvl 7 blue schematic crystals, the wielder of that crystal once applied to a weapon or lightsaber would have: +2 to crit and +2 to endurance from that single crystal. In case it is a purple lvl 7 crystal schematics, the player would require 3 of each crystal type, the crystal would grant not +4 to the base stats, but a +3 to both crit and endurance. Or, the crystal could give a +3 to either crit or endurance and +2 to the other. This would allow an artifice to learn more crystal schematics and design more unique color crystals for their characters and friends. For those who have learned power crystals or expertise, they could add their power crystals to the mix and create an ultra color crystal with no more than +12 to endurance, +12 to crit, and +12 power for lvl 50. Of course, the issue then becomes balancing which is why instead of giving +41 to a single base stat, the crystal in total only gives a total combined bonus of +36 when each stat is added together. In return, you could do the same for Expertise crystals and instead of a power or critical crystal, you would use experitise. Allowing a person who is an artifice to meet the demands of their friends and own characters by creating instead an endurance, power, expertise crystal; or an endurance, crit, expertise crystal. Time line for a purple schematic creation on a lvl 7 to lvl 22 crystal would be: 20 minutes and would require 2 of each cystal schematic types Time line for a purple schematic creation on a lvl 23 to lvl 30 crystal would be: 30 minutes and would require 3 of each crystal schematic types Time line for a purple schematic creation on a lvl 31 to lvl 49 crystal would be: 35 minutes and require 4 of each crystal schematic types Time line for a purple schematic creation on a lvl 50 crystal would take: 75 minutes and require 5 of each crystal schematic types. Would love to hear what BioWare and other players think of this suggestion. I spent the past week discussing with people this idea via out of game chat and services. I am just saddened by the fact, it took so much time for me to finally find the proper words to post in the forum so that it semi-makes sense to those who would read it. Hope everyone has a wonderful day and can't wait for the feedback on my friends and my suggestion about updating artifice's crystal invetory.
