  1. I really hope it comes with free flying space comabt ala Wing Commander series, especially group play space missions in this respect. Much liek X-Wing vs Tie Fighter too, both great games/series.
  2. it will have no affect ont he game per se. The details as in to why they left and what capacity they served is vague at best. Maybe 4 really bad programmers left, maybe 4 programmers left because they were already thinking about it weeks before, maybe 4 programmers left because their concerns weren't being heard and want that sort of power in their own company. Speculation is speculation and it can go any way, but I can assure you the game is fine, I just hope their replacements can start coding this game engine for massive frame rate improvements acorss a wider range of game system setups.
  3. Bioware and EA failed to adhere to the fundamental basics of computers. In most cases you get what you pay for. Like a decent PSU fo ra computer, or a GPU, or even a CPU, you get what you pay for. Without proper research too you also may pay too much for an inferior product. Someone dropped the ball many times over. But then again, I just visited the Hero ENgine page, the main reason all this exists is answered in the selling points of the engine. Greed and laziness. Download the platform today Get the HeroEngine FREE! Build any type of online game (RPG, FPS, RTS and more). Publish your game as a stand-alone client, stream it to players or let them play it on the web. We handle & pay for all your servers, hosting, bandwidth & 3rd party technology. You get 70% of sales revenue. There is no cost to you, unless your game makes money.
  4. THis. Plus, make sure you use cable ties to maximize air space and air flow inside your case. pull uneeded wires off to the side into the empty zones under your optical drive if need be, anywhere where air flow isn't impeded. I find that is a HUGE factor, case design helps a lot with this, my old ATX case has certain things in stupid spots where the cables cannot be moved out of the way and they sit over the ram slightly. My newer case has quirks of not having access to all my 3.5 bays properly, but I manage.
  5. Anyone else have the problem of the bios being out of date? Had to call Asus and get them to mail me a new flashed bios chip...hoping that fixes the issue. Been without a gaming rig for almost 5 days now.
  6. I'm not form the 70's I am a child of the 80's and I still think the prequels are garbage. While each trilogy has it's faults, the original has memorable chemistry between characters and an all around fantastic display of emotion. The prequels script and acting is so cheesy I may as well go read a shakespeare play and try my best to not put any sort of emotion into it, wooden is the right word. Prequels have cheesy CGI portions that weren't needed EVER (Clone Wars droid factory scene, ROTS and Anakin jumping onto a tiny stupid lava droid) In fact, the prequels have TOO MUCH CGI! It totally removes you from the immersion, I can handle CGI characters, I love that, I can't handle CGI back grouns for everything that make it clearly look CGI, I also hate when they do prequels now a days just because the film tech from the 70's is a lot different than the film tech now. Just look at the set designs in OT to PT, PT looks so prim and clean like a hospital and everything in OT looks rugged and gritty and real.
  7. I had it happen to me personally. What basically happened was that 3 of us guild mates queued, two of us got in but then for some odd reason were not in the ops frame, then we had a queue window pop up while in the current warzone so we clicked it, we would join the same warzone but not be counted as players. At first we thought it was a weird bug, but our other friend who was unaffected by this said, "you're not in our frame and we have more than a full team." I have a picture of it on my photobucket account, in Alderaan civil war with I think 13 republic players on the team.
  8. Why am I punished for not wanting to be in any sort of fun? It's not fun joining a WZ half over It's not fun being a whipping boy for the opposing team It's not fun sitting in a WZ trying your hardest with a bunch of inexperienced players who have never pvp'd in their life or have yet to get used to it. It's just not fun sometimes to be "stuck" in a warzone. In the end, penalize me all you want, it won't make a difference, if I'm not having fun I am trying to not do it. The problem with pvp is that it is a catch 22, if you enjoy it then it is what you want to do, I love a good competitive match, but these matches I personally am leaving are where there is clearly no competition, it's literally a slaughter.
  9. So you'll either get people trying to play (as they should have their right to play) or your kick system will work and the ones who are actually afk get booted. You can't knock someone out for trying to play the game, they have every right to be there as you do even in the 10-49 bracket aeven if they don't have much chance to win. THat's where you as player should suck it up buttercup. It's the ones who run off to some random point in the map to afk or wander that need a kick, the ones who avoid a fight to farm points, etc. Alterac Valley in WoW was horrible for afker's they would wander off to some random point in the map and sit there. Vote kick worked most of the time when people weren't enganged in combat themselves. it's hard to cast a vote out when your attention is placed somewhere else like the task at hand. To say it will be abused is not possible in most cases if you get people playing the game then it's not really afk, you can't really do anythign about the guy who wastes his time /following someone to occasionally get into combat and continiue to do so the entire match.
  10. TO quote a green man... Do or do not, there is no try. edit: dam someone beat me to it.
  11. It doesn't matter how good you get against premades in a pug. Pugs are pugs because not everyone is rolling with a dedicated character, playign often enough to get better, and other factors affecting team play. When you're one man alone that knows his class against 2+ that know their class, prepare to just respan constantly. Sure YOU may find the random pugger on the opposing team that is easy to kill and pick on them, but you will never justify a pre-made vs. pug by saying you get better. You're not the only one playing and have to take into account other player's abilities.
  12. 2.5 seconds is a long time in pvp. I get one stun that i can't attack the target in and one that stops the target and slightly hurts them, but I can't move or attack. Then there's the leap stuns, but they are so limited they don't count. So in essence the class that doesn't really need them and should rather get a sprint type mechanism is a BH. and a class does that need them to keep the gap closed (warrior/sentinel) do
  13. Honestly there should be two styles, I don't like the robes on my sentinel but that god awful helmet gets turned off. I would like something more than a head band, but all I got was a blender on my head.
  14. Can you not count? The one pic has 14 Republic players. The Empire ones are not related to this post whatsoever. Learn to read descriptions. Even if they are not that detailed, common sense would dictate which pic was referring to this post.
  15. Space Samurai!!!!!! hiiiieeeeeeeeyaaaaaaa!!!
  16. I think Ilum should have a tenacity buff like Wintergrasp in WoW for the outnumbered faction. I mean on my server it's approximately 3:1 or 4:1 on average for Imps to Reps, if I have to fight 3 Imps, then I better be buffed up enough to make that 3 feel like fighting 1v1.
  17. Doesn't take a genius to see that the sheer amount of Republic players in that warzone is over the limit. I'm not sure if you're just confused by the pic or asking me for further proof...clarification is good instead of being vague.
  18. I happen to love DoTs affecting capping even if it frustrates me, I can do it to them so what's the problem?
  19. Yah losing all your gear, or your hard earned levels and basically wasting your previous time and as a result removing the "game" portion for an MMOG is always a fun thing. While not entirely the same, it's like work sometime in these games for many people, you work hard for what you feel in pixel form you earned in those old archaic systems you don't matter in those situations, try working for free some time in real life and see if you like not getting paid. I wouldn't call the new standard set for MMO pvp a failure or a carebear situation, it's a new trend and a fairly decent trade over losing valuable time spent investing into a game.
  20. I love Huttball, and I also enjoy the fact that the majority of complaints about Huttball hate come from Imperial players. Which only then solidifies the fact that there is WAY more Imperial players than Republic, I hardly ever see Huttball. Goes to show you that if some people are complaining, then they should re-roll and try helping the balance problem. Oh well, my 2 cents.
  21. I'd have to question though if anyone has tested out a full BM set to a Full rakata set...I mean rationally speaking while the full Rakata could pull off more DPS in a situation requiring massive mitigation (focus fire) I doubt in my mind that the endurance bonus on a Rakata set compared to expertise could offset the incoming damage enough to last long.
  22. I believe on the event of a draw it comes down to which team has more medals of greater value. (Golds, Silver, Bronze)
  23. As funny as it is, I can honestly say how does it feel to be outnumbered Imps? lol http://s233.photobucket.com/albums/ee20/karnyboy/SWTOR/?action=view&current=holy_players_batman.jpg There's your proof.
  24. I am and yet, I am not looking forward to Cross server pvp. Queue times don't bother me, but faster is always better; however, mine are fine. I like now how I can enter into warzones and recognize Imperial and Republic players and build a relation through that. The benefits of cross server pvp are good, but the sacrifice at a larger percentage in anonymity makes me cringe. If you played WoW you would know this, once Cross server anything was implemented it became less about working together and more about "I just need my quick daily and I'm gone", gone were the days of recognizing players and creating an actual community.
