  1. Will the store-exclusive medpacks be usable more than once per fight? It would be a nice little perk for those willing to support the game by spending some real-life money for consumables. And it would make them more desirable, which would make more people buy them, which in turn would be better for the game, right?
  2. Never happened to me, and I've climbed a lot of weird places... maybe your graphics card is glitching. Can you take a screenshot showing those missing textures so we can verify? If textures are missing on your screen but not on other people's, the issue is in your end.
  3. Don't you spend money to make a trip? Watch a movie? Forget about hoarding stuff in your house, living is about the experience. In the end you won't own anything, only what you have done. If one enjoys one activity, even if it's a videogame, why not spend on it? It's still the cheapest form of entertainment.
  4. Exactly. I don't have much time to spend on a videogame and when I do, I want to take the most out of the experience. Grinding mindlessly for hours just to get some item is NOT FUN. If I want to raid and don't want to spend endless hours ons runs upon runs upon runs, I should be able to go to the store, shove some dollars in BW's direction and get my complete set so I can experience the raid at its fullest. I'd gladly spend that money to maximize my experience during the few hours I can play the game.
  5. I don't think so... they already have exhaustions zones that prevent you from going outside the map, without a visible, "physical" barrier. Maybe some adjustments and the world would be ready for flying mounts. About avoiding NPC's and players, stealth classes can already do that, so no big deal. They'd better be already applying some developer time on implementing this feature right now, because it's something people have grown accustomed to and are willing to pay real-life money for. It would be really neat to fly over Corellia, between those skyscrapers... imagine THAT! :-) Making it available outside the real-life money store would defeat the purpose... the game needs money to keep running, people shouldn't be entitled to get things for free. They seem to be basing their hybrid free/subscription model off LOTRO, a game that already has a pretty decent selection of store-exclusive items for sale. It seems to be working pretty well over there. If you watch the movies you'll see the characters flying pretty high on planets all the time... remember that scene where Anakin jumped off his vehicle in Coruscant... awesome!
  6. No point adding features that can be obtained outside the store. They need to entice people to use the shop to get money to continue developing the game. So, I don't think we should be able to get stuff for free. You wouldn't like to work for free, would you? I was just trying to get the general idea what a reasonable price for a flying mount would be, not a 'no-price'. I like that idea of US$ 50.00 for a legacy-wide mount... just wondering about people who have characters on more than one server. Well, there will probably be extra character slots for sale in the store, too. That and paid character transfers should solve the problem of having more than 8 characters.
  7. I think a nice item for the store would be a thranta you could mount, a little faster than our current speeders, let's say, +120% speed. A flying mount exclusive to the store would be a nice perk to have, since it doesn't affect combat and all. Unlike other games, though, I think US$ 20,00 would be too expensive, since SWTOR promotes so much alt-playing. It could get too expensive to buy that for a lot of alts. I was thinking US$ 10,00 per mount would be more reasonable, what do you folks think?
  8. The day microtransactions are brought into the Old Republic is the day I'm leaving. That is the day developers will go from "what can we do so the players have more fun and keep paying to play the game" to "what can we do to annoy players and sell them the way around the annoyance in the store". I play a game to have fun, not to be nagged for money. Already have wife and kids for that :-P
  9. Generators require constant maintenance. If you never used it, chances are it won't work when you need it. I bought one myself when there was a flood where I live. I had it running for a couple of days without a glitch. But after that, I had to start it every week so it would keep working. Some months later, I couldn't be bothered anymore. Some years later, another flood and the generator wouldn't start. Next time I'll just rent one, even if I have to pay a premium price for it and/or have to bring one from another town.
  10. Periodic free transfers to the server of your choice. Dual/multi spec where you don't have to spend credits.
  11. I partially agree with you. I believe people should get subscription credit. But Bioware shouldn't be paying for it. I think you, OP, even though is a bit much to ask, could buy everyone subscription time. I and a great many other players would certainly appreciate it.
  12. Leveling is like a bus: you might want to ride the short one, but then don't complain about how others will see you.
  13. Reading through this thread The only thing I kept thinking about Is what other kinds of situations The OP would think the other person was faking Edit: And then I remembered that scene from "When Harry met Sally" in Katz's Deli, NYC.
