  1. Great post - I've been longing for a game to give me the old feelings of UO, EQ, or AC, but they are so few and far between. The last one I remember getting really addicted to was Darkfall at release.
  2. Yeah, on raid nights in my clan we will easily have 15-20+ level 50 people online. Right now, on a non-raid night, we had two people online. Me being one of them and I just logged off.
  3. Yikes - I'm still only level 44 due to limited playtime, but this is none-the-less very discouraging to hear. I guess I should not be surprised that there are a lot of bugs at higher levels, since that would be the least tested content during beta phases, but damn... there is just so much work that needs to be done on this game and your list just adds to it.
  4. This. I was very excited when I heard SW:TOR actually had a PvP lead, and a team dedicated to creating PvP content. Then when I actually got in game and saw it was the same watered down, been-there done-that type of content, I was thoroughly disappointed. Even the daily quests are the same unimaginative dribble.
  5. Right, but his statement was that they learned lessons from other MMOs and then refined them. You're telling me that they didn't learn that people want dungeon finders, customizeable UIs, and the ability to select warzones? They clearly didn't learn the lessons, ignored the lessons, or don't have the resources to implement them.
  6. I found this hilarious. Not like other companies have done UI customization, dungeon finders, the ability to select which warzone you want to join, anti-aliasing, combat logs, etc, etc, etc.
  7. Holy ****, I've noticed this as well, but thought it was just my imagination. It usually happens to be with abilities that have a 60s cooldown.. it appears like I should be able to click it, but when I do nothing happens. Really, really frustrating!
  8. Hyperbole on an MMO forum? Blasphemy!
  9. Wow, yeah, only one high server at 6:00 CST. I'm guessing (hoping?) that this is because they kept raising the server populations.
  10. NUTS! I mean, I agree. The amount of running that is required to get from planet to planet is a little bit much. I remember on my class quest after finishing a planet (I think it was Taris) I got told to go to my Intercom... the quest then went like this. Taris >> Intercom >> Dromond Kass >> Intercom >> Dromond Kass >> Intercom >> Korribon >> Intercom Each time I went to a new destination I only had to talk to one NPC and then proceed to the next destination. The amount of running that was required was absurd.
  11. Personally, I am 25, and have been playing MMOs since I was 12. When World of Warcraft came out and I was 17 or 18 I got my Dad (who is now 62) to start playing them. He has been a big fan of WoW, Rift, and now SW:TOR.
  12. Crafted items being made obsolete from dropped gear seems to be a very common problem in MMOs. The most recent example I can think of is Rift - absolutely no point to using most crated armor/weapons, unless you do not like to do dungeons/raids.
  13. Yeah, if they found a game breaking bug they had no choice but to postpone it. What worries me is that they did not realize they had to postpone it until six hours before the servers were going to go down. I am not sure if that is how close they came to releasing a game breaking bug, but either way its not very amusing as a customer.
  14. Well said! I could not agree more and could not have said it better myself (more so in regards to the final paragraph).
  15. Great news. I am excited for the patch tomorrow, but way more excited for March. Can't wait for a new Warzone and legacy system. Hopefully the ability to choose which Warzone you are joining as well.
  16. This is GREAT! Shadows actually look like Shadows now! I'd like to know why Bioware left it up to the players to find a solution to this issue?
  17. This is the first MMO I have played where I am both working and going to school. This means that this is the first MMO where I did not rush to the max level to do high level content. I am absolutely enjoying myself in game anytime I play and I am only level 40. There are a lot of bugs in the game, which I do find very frustrating (I am being effected by more bugs in this MMO then any other I have played). That said, I think if I had done my usual routine of level very fast to 50 and trying to complete high level content/pvp I would be bored at the moment. I am really hoping for some additions to open world PVP, as those can be very exciting and fun for a very long time. I'm thinking DAoC Frontier.
  18. Signed. The stupid window asking me to create a legacy name popped up EVERY SINGLE TIME I changed zones. This caused me to get frustrated and simply enter my main characters last name backwards just to get rid of the screen! Little did I know that it would be across all characters and could not be changed.
  19. I can understand something like this being necessary, but you have now nerfed every single crafting skill that I have had and we are only one month into the game.
  20. This, this, this, this, this! Considering canceling my sub for a few months until they get some of these issues resolved.
  21. Ugh, this. I find these graphics to be ridiculously sub-par. I find it insulting that we were originally told this was a bug that would be fixed, but we are now being told it is "working as intended". I find the communication to be adequate, but the speed at which these problems are being addressed to be unsatisfactory. I have numerous issues effecting me ever day I play the game. While these are not ground breaking issues they effect my game play and make my experience less enjoyable every day. Three examples that come to mind are; 1) Force Cloak being extremely buggy (DoTs taking you out of stealth, but keeping you permanently in combat) 2) Groups being disbanded after finishing a warfront 3) Guild window horrendously buggy A month after release and I feel that almost nothing meaningful has been fixed, at least from my limited perspective.
