  1. ok try this, launch the game with radeon pro in back the background obv and screenshot it, then close the game/radeon pro and then relaunch the game, same spot, same everything, screenshot. then compare them to be sure it not working for you first. Focus mainly on med-distance trees
  2. A crt monitor image wise will beat out ANY 300$ plus lcd monitor. CRT color depth and quality wise (and basic response time) DESTROYS lcds. Only the top of the top lines lcds can keep up with them. goto a hock shop and pickup a used crt for $5. Its quality will blow u away. I watch most my movies on my 19" crt still due to this. Unless your going to fork over $500 for one of the new flat screens with all the new tech (like the stuff we saw at ces) then crt will ALWAYS win. The reason crts have faded out is there size.
  3. Patches shouldnt be a issue. Editing lods can be done in any game and should never cause a conflict
  4. titan is a long ways off. look forward to planetside 2, firefall, guild wars 2, and diablo 3
  5. Actually at times I have noticed that having MSAA enabled has INCREASED my performance, crazy? Well my thought is since this game does not use my crossfire well and it scales it to crap. perhaps forcing MSAA is 'allowing' more of my gpu to be used instead of being idle. it sounds crazy but I do remember saying "why is my framerate higher then before" after tweaking a few times. Are you running sli or crossfire or a single card? If its a single card forget everything I just said
  6. Where in my instructions did I ever state to open the game through radeon pro lol. Just have it in the background and a profile set.
  7. There never going to recommend a third party tool. It would just cause so many issues with the people who cant get it working right. within 1min of posting it they would have 10 replys saying it broke there game. The average person will try anything even if they have no clue what it is, people are, well st*p*d lol. Plus people would assume bioware would give them support for the tool and it would just cause confusion. its scary but do you have any idea how many people dont even know about graphics options, roughly what they do, or how they effect performance. I always get a when im trying to help some random in trade chat who says there game lags. I ask something simple like what resolution are you running or what are so and so settings set at, and they reply 'where can I see that'. This is why we cant have nice things.
  8. Bioware sent me a warning for this topic lol, apparently im hurting there community with this??? OW nm it was because I was rude to one of the guys who couldnt get it working..... had me thinking bioware didnt want you doing this lolz, I was about to be like "THIS IS THE LINE!"
  9. U are sure both your distance sliders are at 100% for grass and tree? I find it hard to think that nvidia would for "whatever" reason render grass shorter. I have a nvidia rig as well (I actually have 5 computers lol ) and it doesnt have a issue like your describing.
  10. Also make sure your running the game in your full native res. im not trying to be insulting but I have seen/done this for many people a lot of times now, it made a difference (a large difference) every time. this isnt a trick or some troll, it just works. If u cant see a difference you either did something wrong or have the worst hardware I can imagine
  11. monitors crap or your blind. The difference is night and day. go look at any metal texture or trees at a distance.
  12. For the ATI guys/gals I recommend using catalyst 11.9 with the latest 11.9 cap. 11.10/11.11/11.12/and 12.1 beta gave me reduced performance. BF3 still runs awesome on 11.9 the only game u will lose out on is rage. atm for swtor I deff recommend 11.9 with 11.9 cap4 and radeon pro (for tweaking and crossfire stuff)
