  1. Pretty lousy at communicating anything of value tbh. How hard would it be to write a couple of sentences on the matter? Just look atthe Devtracker, responses on anything have dried to an absolute trickle (not that where gushing to start with). Right up there with the poorest communication of any AAA dev imho.
  2. Please make the announcement about revised times !! I am already starting to 'wind down' on my playtime. Seems kind of pointless knowing it's all ending in a week or so. So make the announcement!
  3. I think that is excessive. There are quite a few really irritating 'niggles' but the game is fun. BW do not deserve a slow hand clap yet. (though we are fast approaching a month in with little of substance fixed).
  4. It's not. There is an official sticky thread at the top of this forum about skill/ability lag. BW acknowledge it and are working on fixing it. QED.
  5. Are you Amish or something? I guess not seeing as you are posting on the internet. There are improvements I'd like to see on my car, doesn't mean Im gonna go out and build one myself. Or are you simply saying you can't hold an opinion on something unless you have built one of them yourself? If you behave like a peasant (or fool) I guess you will be treated like one.
  6. Turn down the resolution. You don't really need all those pixels packed into a 15 inch display.
  7. They are empty because they are down for maintenance EU daytimes!
  8. You missed EU maintenance being done in the day. It is completely unacceptable to me and the reason I cancelled. Enjoying the game up to now but feel most strongly about this. btw why did they not get one of their community managers to do this thread? I guess they would have struggled with 'regularly updated'. Who exactly asked you to 'provide feedback to Bioware'? Not calling you out or anything but again I would have expected one of there employees to say " we have asked Ruin to provide feedback"? If you had offered a prize for best contribution I would have immediately thought scam! So to re-iterate. No money from me until they conduct EU maintenance in the wee hours. .
  9. They tend to be fun though some are over pretty quickly. It also seems to be increasingly hard to find people to do them. (Probably because people lik the OP aren't logging on so much). I re-rolled republic but seeing as world pvp is simply pointless ganks I may dust off my imperial guy see if he fares better. Becoming academic as sub time approaches, I will not pay until they do EU maintenance at a sensible hour.
  10. That's good advice, speaking from personal experience of many mmo's (not SWTOR particularly) that is usually the death knell for me. What happens for me is I simply don't go back (not till months or a year or more later). Maybe I have OCD or something actually I just tend to 'burn out' on games I try to take things slow and easy to make them last longer but think I probably have a low threshold of boredom.
  11. There are too many "temporary" "inconveniences". Actually three weeks down the line arguably it is no longer "temporary". There is clearly simply not a strong enough desire at BW to sort it out or it would have been sorted out. It's a simple matter to 'toggle a switch' to turn it on but then they would have had to do proper capacity planning for the servers that host the forums. You would have though that the guys in procurement would know that you can buy resources on demand in a dynamic fashion. They really show a complete disdain for there subscribers. It is this contempt for the customers that I find really annoying.
  12. Another from the sticky from the top of the forum. I'd say QED at this point. There is a troll in the thread but sadly it is you sir. Either that or one also has to seriously worry about your power of observation :/ During the development of Star Wars: The Old Republic, we’ve been paying a lot of attention to the game’s responsiveness. As pointed out by some people on the Forum, a very responsive experience is one of the factors that separate the best MMOs from the others. This is something we are fully aware of and take extremely seriously. Several of the issues brought forth by the community have already been dealt with and you should see the fixes integrated in coming patches, including those coming this month. Every lead mentioned on the forum is being investigated and I cannot stress enough how useful your feedback is – especially when coupled with the level of details found in some of the posts. So I’d really like to thank the community for this very constructive feedback. Thanks again and best regards, Emmanuel Lusinchi Technical Design Director Star Wars: The Old Republic
  13. hahahah so they are looking in to something you maintain does not exist. I'd tweet Reid and tell him the development team are wasting their time. You obviously know better than BW. I'd really like to aim an expletive at you now but guess I shouldn't. From "The quick update on ability lag thread" by Mr Stephen Reid BW community service manager. I appreciate the frustration, but this is not the ideal thread to talk about FPS issues, and I'd rather we didn't derail the discussion. Feel free to share your dxdiag and machine specs in this thread - that's where we're collating feedback and having the development team actively monitor to help improve things for players. I assure you it's being looked at.
  14. They are clearly not. If you find them acceptable more power to you. In PVE I don't find it that much of an issue but in settings I did increase the skill queue time (or whatever it is called) to maximum. It's still far far far from 'crisp'. One of many vids illustrating it. Note his perfect internet latency meter. My favourite vid uses mounting and dismounting of a hover bike to illustrate, can't be bothered to find it right now. edit: this is a separate issue that uses the cast animation like a second cast bar. I may be mistaken but I'm pretty sure Reid (BW) acknowledged the issue in wich case QED>
  15. Funny the fanbots said much the same about WAR, AOC and a host of other AAA's that now languish low on the MMO charts. Do you really care so little about your precious game? Would it not be much better for all concerned if BW addressed the many (quite legitimate) issues and won the QQers over? The naivety is strong with this one.
  16. OP your experience of the games says more about you than the state of the game. I'm having fun but where can I get some of those rose tinted spectacles that you are viewing the game through, or is this just sarcasm? By the way isn't this a repost from head start or early release. I'm pretty sure I have seen it before.
  17. That made me smile. I knew what you meant though (we would not have it at all)
  18. That's optimistic my hunch is that it will be the same low and abysmally low we have now with new labels.
  19. Actually if he was so smart he would trade his own account and got rich rather, than jobbing for goldys for an analysts pay. Still a much better post than the majority.
  20. No. But I would not short ERTS on the basis of it either.
  21. Why not install on his laptop log in to your account and see how it runs? It's likely to be pretty bad but I guess it's down to whether it is satisfactory to him.
  22. Trion is the obvious comparison seeing as Rift was the last AAA to market. Bioware do not compare particularly well whatever metric you want to use.
  23. It is completely un acceptable not to have separate EU times. We have lost a good 3 days play, that is not hyperbole. Unacceptable.
  24. I can't (genuinely) understand the quite different perspectives on this. My experience (L27 & L27 scoundrel) is the Bowdaar well equipped is outperformed (just a bit) by Corso. Makes me wonder if I am doing something wrong. The other thing I wonder is if Bowdaar gets some skill a bit later that makes him more viable? I seem to recall a post about that earlier in the thread. I do wonder if anyone in the pro Bowdar camp has spent as much money and effort equipping Corso in late 20's early 30s? I'm inclined to try despite it likely bankrupting me. The thing is in my (very limited 2 level) experience it is not really needed Corso as he comes (in greens and the odd blue) seems to hold up to Bowdaar in his blues and oranges? Not trying to knock Bowdaar, just trying to understand how people grow to like him (so that I might recoup the rather large investment I made).
