How will staggering prevent them going down in a week when everyone wakes up and tries to log in?

I may be mistaken but wasn't there a L31 character on one of the live streams. That would suggest that either the metrics are flawed or (more likely) BW are in damage limitation mode.

The retailer in the territory I bought in made no mention of staggering or partial access to a head start. The deal was pretty clear, you pre-ordered you got to play the head start. Not a portion of it or a staggered part of it. It wasn't going to wave at you or even goose you. Basically you pre-order and as an incentive you would be first to play the live version. Just mentioning it as we all did not buy form Origin USA. I'm not going to get bent out of shape but I can understand why some are. Of course bending the retailers ear is not going to get nowhere fast anyway.

I'd go easy. You can loose access to all origin games linked to your email address for infractions. I guess they would need to be quite severe. Google it.

Yup, I wonder if all the 'straight' players will re-roll on new servers too? That would be pretty ironic after all this trying to balance server pops.

I'm hearing that a lot of servers have not even had to create dynamic layers. Could easily handle loads more. Still guess we'll see what tomorrow brings.

You can please all of the people some of the time or some of the people all of the time. BW clearly went with some of the people. With the servers running so under capacity it is no wonder it is smooth. Good luck getting flashpoints and PvP matches in a timely fashion though. Personally (as someone who has not got in) I would rather the odd 20 minute queue or couple of hours server outage than a 2 3 4 5 day queue for my raffle ticket to come up. Of course by the time that comes up chances are there will be queues anyway. Cest la vie in MMO land.

27th was the last I saw. So about a weeks worth of orders.

You'd have thought they would be able to tell by now whether they need more. Allegedly they are letting even more people in tomorrow and still more Thursday. Seems safe to assume that demand for RP-PVP servers will more than triple. Of course all this wave stuff does is postpone crunch time (unless they are getting ready to spin up new servers right now)
