  1. "Going down to the pit.." Yea, because people go down there by their own, its not like one of the million knockbacks sort that out.
  2. BioWare didnt cave in to anything. BioWare changed a class that was severely overpowered, regardless of forums or not the class was still way over the top. So your statement just doesnt work sorry.
  3. Does it not take time aswell to rise up after you get knocked down, like a 1 sec animation whre you cant do anything? Because I think with that the CC will still be just fine for an opener, especially given it does alot of damage.
  4. They need to revamp so many abilities if they remove some of your crit damage though. This simply because you keep the same amount of CC, but wont do that much damage in this CC. This will end up with me as a Sentinel coming out of the stun with more hp then you will ever be able to remove whilst I can actively fight you, and I will end up butching you instead because I will hit you like a truck pretty much. I think the easy way is to nerf the CC abit, and nerf some of the opening damage which has been done. This will effectively still make you able to kill players who does not react properly to still fall over every time, whilst giving skilled players a chance to react and try to counter that burst. That for me is exactly what PvP is about, aslong as there is something that me as a player can effectively do to try and counter someone else by outplaying them and using my CD's properly, thats a good game. I do understand the points you bring up though, and to some extent I do agree, but I just think Operatives as a whole just needs revamping if they reduce your crit damage. Edit: Also kudos for being an Operative with a clue. In total you are the second Operative I have met that actually seem to understand game mechanics and how they work in PvP.
  5. In all fairness I think these changes are pretty good. Simply because the damage reduction wont really kill the ability, and the KO duration needs to be fixed so people can actually react. I do not mind high damage at all, aslong as me as a player can actively use my abilities to be able to avoid it. Hence being able to outplay people and coming out on top, which I am sure you know is not the case with the current state of Operatives. The K.O should not give a full Resolve bar after this nerf though, and Operatives should be pretty well balanced I think. The main problem in this game right now, I think, is how Resolve (doesnt) work. Its just a really odd CC system overall and I dont really like it at all, needs to be fixed.
  6. You wouldnt even steamroll me with every buff in the game with the current state of Operative. THATS how bad you are
  7. I am really tired of trying to explain simple game mechanics to bad players, thats all.
  8. Because he would open on a healer, I would charge it, and the healer would be dead. Its pretty straight forward and simple tbh.
  9. So you justify being able to kill people in an opener, with this? Try again.
  10. It does not kill the class, you are just extremely bad.
  11. I dont get how you can be so bad. This nerf isnt even close to as massive as people make it out to be. You do realize that the knockback is more then 1.5 seconds because you actually have to stand up after it right? So this will put it at about 2.5 seconds or so, which is a balanced amount of CC for an opener. As far as damage comes you still have so many other hard-hitting abilities that hasnt been touched at all, so stop crying and learn how to play your class. Without killing everything in the opener.
  12. Well needed nerf, and operatives with a clue knows this wont destroy the class.
  13. Feel the same way, seems like the droprate is really bad. And all I need for full gear is bracers + helm Give...
  14. Got 641 expertise at the moment. Got every piece BM except head and bracers. The most OP class at the moment is definately, and by far, Operatives.
  15. I used my Force Camoflague (Vanish) yesterday, to escape a few enemies, managed to round a corner and escaped with about 5% hp left. Then I stood behind this wall for TWENTYFIVE (25) seconds, without having any debuffs on me, or having anyone attack me at all, before combat broke, and I could heal up. If you want me to wait another 15 seconds after that, there is not even any use of this ability whatsoever, because it will go quicker to just rambo in and die, instead of trying to play clutch and clever, and escape at times. So your logic is extremely bad, and you should stop trying to make changes.
  16. It is an MMO, you should be rewarded for playing, wether its PvE or PvP does not really matter. I am all for playing in a 100% balanced environment with everyone having the same gear, but then they need to add something competitive. Who would honestly spam WZ's vs random people if there was nothing to gain except for the "fun"? I sure as hell wouldnt. Either give me a competitive PvP system with ladders etc, or give me something else I can aim for, which is currently the gear grind. I enjoy PvP because I know I can get something out of it. Without any kind of rewards from WZ's it would simply not be fun at all.
  17. You should not remove Trauma at all. If you honestly think Trauma needs to be removed because healers are too weak, you are definately doing it wrong, thats all I got to say.

Not this either, I had people below 50 getting it some times whilst I was 50.
  19. In PvE/Leveling I'd always go for Power. Crit is more about PvP imo since you want the burst, in PvE sustained damage is better 99% of the time. About watchman, it is reliant on DoT's, but not as much as you could think. You only really have two different DoT's, one is overload sabers that you just use on CD's and it goes off automatically, no need to really worry about it since its pretty much a short CD buff that you use. Then you have Cauterize. Thats the two different abilities you have, so its not really a time consuming thing to keep track of. The self-sustain is just really good whilst leveling. Although I leveled from 1-50 as pure combat PvP specc, was abit frustrating at times but went decently fine considering I didnt even bother gearing up more then through quests.

I think its abit random, because I get it most of the time, but sometimes my mates in my premade gets it. I am the highest valor out of all of us, aswell as having the best win/loss ration. So its not judged by any of that.
  21. It depends more on your playstyle I'd say. Although the sustained damage of Sentinels is amazing, because of the fact that we never run out of our resource like other class do (Focus). I would personally always choose power over crit, because the base crit you get later on will land you at atleast a steady 30%, which is just fine. So I definately vote for Power I would also suggest Watchman for leveling, over Combat, because Watchman has more sustain and better damage output.
  22. Yea, I am fine with it too, just think that you can really crush healers in 1v1 as Focus. But personally I enjoy watchman playstyle better, as I think the flow is alot smoother when it comes to Focus building and cooldown management. Combat is really nice too, just a damage lackluster, but if that is fixed we'll have three incredibly cool and valid speccs.
  23. Watchman works just as great as Focus for PvP. If you are queueing solo Watchman severely out-does Focus any day of the week.
  24. Well, the majority of players playing every class is complete garbage, just the fact that you can get away with it alot easier with other classes. As for as unstoppable sustained damage in PvP, I dont really agree. Sure in normal WZ's against randoms I can constantly pull out alot of damage, but a competent team will be able to lock your damage out quite effectively through CC. Not really had that much problem with it this far, but I think if they implement any kind of really competitive PvP, they will need to change some things. At the moment I think the only comp that will be really valid for a sentinel in a 3v3 arena bracket would be double healer / sent, because of the dispel.
