  1. The thing that bugs me is the fact that they've spent SO much money and SO much time on this game, knowing the fact that it will be compared and compete against WoW. Dont tell me otherwise, because thats just how it is. Still the PvP content overall has been really overlooked imo. I think its a really good game, and I am willing to start paying for it again as soon as they add content that will keep me interested, til then I rather save my money.
  2. This is the reason why I unsubbed for now. Got full battlemaster gear and all the datacrons that people have found so far, aswell as maxed out crewskills, so there is not anything else to keep me interested right now. I really hope they will add more competitive content soon, because I really like the game.
  3. Seeing as you have never been killed by an Operative, that must mean they are definately fine and can not be overpowered at all. Oh wait.
  4. Although I said BIASED Operative. Since you are obviously blind to the overpowerdness of your class.
  5. Stay out of the discussion if you are a biased Operative.
  6. That is one ability. I dont really care what you say, or what links you post. I was looking at my hp when I got opened on, and I looked at it when I could start moving. You can believe whatever you want. Your damage is way over the top with the CC you have, and its getting fixed.
  7. I just think that people make bigger fuss about this change then what it actually is. You will still be able to dish out incredible amounts of damage, regardless of this change. Especially if you take teamplay into consideration.
  8. I can prepare for their stuns though. I can not prepare for an Operative opening on me, thats impossible.
  9. This is where people go wrong though. Yes, a Sorcerer might be able to kill me just as quickly, but during this I can atleast CONTROL my character, and actively work towards not being killed that quickly. You CANT do this vs an Operative. I dont even mind your high damage aslong as I can react to it and actually play my character, but right now I am stuck in a full CC whilst I just see my hp fly away.
  10. Still without consumable stacking your damage in an opener is way too much damage, thats just a fact, stop trying to defend or deny this, just makes you look extremely dumb. You do too much damage on well geared targets aswell, and therefore you need a nerf, simple as that. Just imagine if they would release smaller scale PvP with the current state of Operatives, would just be Operative/Operative/Healer dominating everything because there is just no way to survive that damage, seeing as a solo Operative can get a well geared target down below 20% in the initial opener. I do not need to play a class to understand that me getting opened on and not being able to move til im pretty much already dead, is broken.
  11. With this post you seem to have extremely poor PvP judgement. So it is really not a loss for anyone playing the game if you quit, so please go ahead.
  12. So you have covered the point where Operatives get people beyond the point of recovery as soon as they get to open on someone? I must have missed the part. And I also would like to see your logic behind this not needing a change. Edit: I'll take back what I said before aswell, only seen one person so far that understand how overpowered your class is, that actually plays it. You're not this person im afraid, you are just another standard Operative who doesnt want to get nerfed, because actually giving people a fighting chance would be dumb, right?
  13. You seemed to be talking about both, I was just stating the fact that if you want to balance Operatives without hurting their PvE, they need to nerf your CC more, which will end up killing you in Pvp. Its extremely poor class design. I wasnt really disagreeing with any of your points, I am just stating the obvious. I do not personally know how Operatives are in PvE since I dont raid myself, but I can understand this nerf will hurt you alot PvE wise, although it is a well needed one for PvP imo.
  14. Had a few great battles mysellf in Ilum since the change. Sadly during peak hours its really hard to do much because of the faction imbalance, but I am cool with that. Had a fight a couple of nights ago when me and my 3 mates had a fight vs 10-11 Imperials at once, and manage to complete dominate them 3 times straight without dying, was real fun.
  15. The problem is that the class was extremely poorly designed for PvP from the start, and there is really no way to nerf them without revamping the entire class. You definately will not be useless in PvP teamplay after this nerf though, its just the fact that now you will need some help to kill healers, instead of being able to get them below the point of recovery in one single opener. Your CC will still be strong as soon as you add someone else on the same target, and your damage out of stealth will still be very good against most targets. I am pretty sure Operatives after the change will still hit harder in the opener then an Assassin, and me (Sentinel) and my mate (Assassin) litteraly walk through people regardless of gear as soon as he lands any CC at all on them. It sucks that this change effects your PvE that much though, but that is something to take up on a different forum.
  16. So BW's class design is flawed, what do you want to do about that? Keep all your damage but remove all the CC? Would keep you in PvE but definately ruin any kind of PvP vs people with a brain. A nerf was needed badly because Operatives are way over the top right now.

    Best pvp class

If you want something that isnt straight forward, but really valued when played correctly, I'd say either Marauder/Sentinel or Assassin/Shadow.
  18. The overall balance in this game between the classes are pretty spot on, for being this close to release. The changes they have made for PvP so far hasnt been huge, but they have all been in the right direction and I really think this game can become a competitive PvP game if they keep it up. I've enjoyed it alot, from level 10 til now with full BM gear, its been a really fun trip Just waiting for abit more content, hopefully some smaller scale competitive PvP!
  19. Thats the biggest load of ******** I've heared all day. You got nerfed because your class was ridicilously overpowered, because you could get anyone below the point of recovery simply be opening and pressing 123, whilst the person could not even react to this without having a trinket up. Dont tell me you actually think that Operatives were fine before the nerf? I really do think people just overrate this nerf too a much bigger thing then it is. You losing one GCD in an opener will hardly ever change the outcome of a fight, especially not if you have teammates around you that will be helping you out. Your opening damage will still be incredibly strong, its just the fact that now people will get a change to react before they die. You will still beat 99% of the people who was whining before the patch because they still have no clue what to do, its just that this change will allow better players to react to what is going on, and so on having a chance to fight, instead of being stuck in something that would end up killing them. Reducing your crit damage would just make you useless overall apart from CC, but then again I would rather bring an Assassin then an Operative if they reduce your crit damage, since they offer me more things then you do, even with all your CC. Just do NOT come here and tell me that Operatives were fine before the nerf, because they sure as fck wasnt.
  20. I like the new Medpack alot more then the old one. Simply because it adds a layer of skill when to use it, instead of randomly popping it whenever just for the sake of healing. The 15% extra hp over the duration is far better then what the old one would ever be able to give you, when used properly. So stop whining about something that was changed in a good way, BioChem is still extremely strong, borderline OP still, compared to other crew skills. Everyone knew the changes were coming, and imo the changes were spot on.
  21. Well, reduce the crit damage then if thats what you want, but I am telling you that out of your stealth burst you will be even more useless then you are now, and people will be crying even more, since you will not be able to kill skilled people effectively enough at all without having that burst, regardless of what CC you might have.
  22. I rather just have myself out of CC as quickly as possible and you can keep doing your damage. I already spend half my playtime in CC because people use their **** on CD and Resolve being broken. So you can keep doing alot of damage, I dont mind, just let me be able to retaliate somewhat, instead of being stuck in CC til im dead from one single player.
  23. But aslong as they are not fixing the animation bug, which makes us be CC'd for longer then the tooltip says, then this change is just fine. And the reason I am dying is because I am CC'd, if I am not CC'd I can simply turn around to the Operative and start fighting him. As soon as I can start fighting back I can outplay the Operative and end up winning most of the time, the problem is that I go way too low in the initial opener without being able to even move my character at all.
  24. I havent been killed in the duration of the knockback either, what I have done though, is coming out of the knockback with 3% hp left, so I can then finally start to fight back... ? They are doing what their class is supposed to do, although they are doing it way too good, and way too easily. I am supposed to go in and ram people down, but would it be fair if i went in and killed everyone in a couple of globals? No. Its pretty simple to understand why Operatives needed a nerf, and if you dont agree to this, you have either not fought a geared one, or been lucky enough to dodge all of them. I sadly cant say the same.
