  1. I thought something was wrong. Hope they fix this soon.
  2. I'm in a queue, or at least I was, until the server won't respond to me choosing it. No queue even shows up anymore.
  3. I disagree with your first point. Satele helped lead the fight against Zakuul with Jedi who were much more capable of facing them than the average foot soldier. They were meant to defend against threats like this, to the best of their abilities, and not just hide on Tython while Zakuul attempts to ravage the entire galaxy. They died trying to defend the Republic when others could not. Sounds like a Jedi thing to do to me. Whether or not you agree, would anyone be satisfied if the Jedi Order lost under ten percent of its Order and then just sat around doing nothing for five years? If you'd rather not adapt to the way the galaxy is being shaped and fail to realize that maybe the old ways weren't enough to defend the Republic, then sure, I guess you can be mad that Satele looked past how she was trained and confided with Marr, who had also saw the problems that the Sith faced. Revan knew both sides of the Force and looked beyond 'sides'. There was just the Force and how it was wielded. For your third point, I think that was because the fall of the Jedi had nothing to do with an enemy wielding the Force in a way that surpassed their own. They were betrayed by the Clones they fought with, not beaten back by superior force users. There was nothing to really 'reflect' on other than that Palpatine played his hand perfectly, and no one could see it before it was too late. Now, the last bit, with finding love and having a child, is something I could understand the outrage in. Satele getting to be Grandmaster again shows me that the Jedi Order lacked one with both the strength and the leadership to see them through the times they were in. Satele should never talk about following a Code to anyone, least of all our PC's, if we meet her son later on in the story. I don't think Satele should be Grandmaster a third time, period. I believe she admitted during the story on Odessen that her time had passed, and she was not going to be involved any longer since the Jedi Order needed someone new to rebuild it. The most we get is her helping rebuild Coruscant, and Jace doesn't mention her at all on Iokath, so I assume she vanished again after that.
  4. HM Athiss 65 Powertech Tank. 65 Operative DPS (Me). 65 Sniper DPS. 60 Operative Healer. Starts out normal. The tank warns that they're new to the game (despite having some really decent gear and understanding what their role and rotation seems to be) and performs very well for herself. The gear she had was also good. I've seen people queue for HM with no relics or implants, so she was either humble or nervous. Anyway, our first wipe was at the set of droids before the first boss. The burst they all give is pretty insane so I thought nothing of it. We get ourselves back there and take care of the boss. Healer mentions a 4 year old spilled something, she apologizes, we get to the Beast of Vodal. This is where things get rough. We wipe here three times--and the tank is actually not the cause here. The first time I said nothing. Maybe the damage was too much for the healer. Second time, however, I turn to look at her while dead, and she's standing there looking confused and out of place. We wipe again. By the third time I sum up it's the lack of heals we're getting. The Sniper and I know for a fact the healer isn't up to par for what the instance demands. I didn't rage. Each wipe I asked the healer if she was okay, to which I never got a response from her. Meanwhile, the tank thinks it's all HER fault, when in actuality she's doing everything pretty darn well. Beast of Vodal never went for a DPS or healer, and she picked up the adds quickly in each encounter. But for some reason she believed every wipe was her fault. I check the healer's gear after the third wipe. She was a bought Level 60, with the classic '****' gear dresser tops and such. Nothing overly TERRIBLE when you didn't have to work to gear your toon much prior. So, after getting no responses from the healer--yet having the healer perfectly content with us wiping without communicating or owning up to her own mistakes, such as lack of actually doing any healing or voicing any issues she may be having--I vote kick her, reassuring the tank that the wipes are not on her plate. THEN, the healer hits me up a minute later, finally willing to talk after ignoring me for three straight wipes. She goes off on this rant, starting with 'EXCUSE ME' but I'll have to admit I wasn't in the mood to really humor her ranting. She had three wipes to talk to all of us about problems, problems I ASKED her to voice if she had them, and she said nothing. I skimmed her little rant, and there was no mention of IRL issues going on that made us wipe three times. In fact, she was bold enough to say that she had no problem with her performance, and that she thought she did great. Of course, repair bills don't pay themselves, and I wasn't going to sit there and argue with her. I was also accused of yelling at her, when the most I did was ask her to talk to us if there was something wrong, and she NEVER DID IT. I never even used caps lock, so being called out and expecting her to take responsibility for her lack of action and communication is clearly me yelling, I guess. The group kick went off without a hitch, so that told me that everyone was content with her removal. The Sniper knew she wasn't getting any healing, but she was the type to not say anything even if she's frustrated. And the tank was too busy beating herself up while the healer LET HER DO THAT each time--which pissed me off very much looking back on it. If you're at fault, don't let someone sit there and blame themselves for mistakes you made. Anyway, I tell her that she wasn't performing at the level we needed her to, and good luck on her later runs. Ignored her after that. Sniper pulls out Lana. Boom, we beat Beast with ease. Only wiped one more time and that was due to learning Stealth doesn't work in the tombs on HM against the force user mobs. The rest of the run goes off without a hitch and we say our goodbyes. So, the moral: Don't sit idly by while a good player takes blame for the bad one who lets them do so.
  5. They were able to set aside their differences together and devise means of combating a mutual foe in the past; Marr's death and being able to discuss with Satele--who he clearly respects on at least SOME level--the future of their factions isn't that surprising to me. Across the Stars playing suggested peace in their immediate discussion, not tension. This isn't the first time they've communed together, that's for sure. With the Dark Council wiped out except for one pawn remaining, Marr ran out of Sith equals to commune with a long time ago. There are a lot of questions remaining, but I am positive there isn't a romance between them.
  6. Had a group dissolve at this fight, they hit way too hard. Didn't get around to actually trying the strat mentioned here where everyone sits in the circle because the other tank in the group thought their idea of running one to the elevator would solve the problem. It didn't.
  7. I'd prefer to keep my devoted Apprentice. Broonmark, on the other hand, I'll be happy to leave if he proves uncontrollable and unreasonable in my absence.
  8. I have a particular dislike towards Fleet Cantina roleplay, too. If it's not just people trying to pick other people up, it's just trying to exaggerate your achievements or simply have a drink--nothing wrong with any of this, but it gets old, really old. It's not for everyone, and I get bored of it. I think the location has something to do with it as well. But uh, if a guy is roleplaying a girl,he better be prepared to be treated like a woman would be from a male character's perspective--including flirting and other suggestive remarks-- IC wise. You're playing the role of a female at that moment (unless you're an EXTREMELY feminine man. WoW players roll females to play that role. Haven't encountered it yet.) Some characters are flirtatious and it's just something you gotta get used to, no matter what location. Try Nar Shaddaa for some roleplay, specifically the cantina areas. I know there's often events in the Promenade sponsored by Radio Free.Org or something, I can never remember their name. Otherwise you'll need to locate a guild with your interests in roleplay, and join them for events. I've seen soldiers roleplaying on Taris on Pub side and others on Taris Imp side--all guildies. Good luck!
  9. She really wasn't. But hey, your interpretation.
  10. I'm seeing a whole lot of, "Satele would have died if not for Jace!" when it's not implied whatsoever that her death was as imminent as it was in the Return trailer. She was holding back his saber and Malgus was pressing the advantage because he had it. Losing her saber and being put in that position doesn't mean she was going to die--not even close. I'm not saying Malgus couldn't have killed her, it's just that a lot of people think she was 100% done for. That power she used to finish him off after Jace stunned him with the grenade suggests she wasn't as helpless as people seem to believe.
  11. I was disappointed. The big guy is another Savage Oppress in the face of another, more experienced foe. I know Ahsoka fighting again is meant to be a really hype moment for the show, but the Inquisitors went from credible threats to comedic villains in less than a minute. Ahsoka hasn't likely sparred against another force user in years, and with the weaponry they were using she handled them like it was nothing surprising--like it was just another Ventress battle for her. Didn't feel like the odds were against her for a single second. I also thought that her little "I'll deactivate your saber" maneuver could have had better timing by the writers, but I think that's subjective--I'm sure a lot of people thought that was super cool for what it was, and in a way I agree. Still, hoping for better duels in the future. Closer ones, especially.
  12. I was always intrigued with the idea of force sensitive individuals who either never had the opportunity to become Jedi or Sith, or refused to be. It's just that they're so iconic it's hard to imagine a Smuggler or Bounty Hunter on the same level as the JK and SW. I chalk it up to circumstances demanding these capable individuals while the others are MIA; you see that Satele is hiding away. It's possible that if someone like her was still around, they'd ask her to lead given her experience as Jedi Grandmaster. It doesn't often feel as 'good' or heroic when facing people like Arcann with a non-Force class, but I just consider it as your character having a Han Solo moment of, "Never tell me the odds!" and just doing what needs to be done. You're the first and last line of defense against Zakuul during this time. Saber or not, you've got the experience and the skills to pose a considerable threat, enough for Arcann to obsess over you no matter what weapon you wield.
  13. Wasn't Palpatine torturing Luke before outright killing him? Valkorian didn't want to waste time convincing someone who didn't accept his offer, Palpatine was making Luke suffer for not striking his father down.
