  1. Cant you just put overload first in your priority list? It will be the first ability the macro tries to use then (you still have to press the button at least once every 1.5 sec) So you have a button for leap and a button for your combat macro, with overload as priority A. Then Cauterize as prio B, Merciless as C, Zealous as D ...
  2. Any class is easily macroable if they use a priority list. And it doesnt matter if the game supports macros or not, since your 3rd party hardware can do it completely legal - and the game company cannot forbid that, since it would have an adverse effect on the hardware manufacturer (they even tried). I personally macro with a nostromo gamingpad, where i can record macros that press a number of keys in short succession. This is exactly what is needed for a class with a priority list. I typically have a defensive buff button, an offensive buff one and a primary and maybe secondary attack button. This works for almost any class in any game. The principle is simple when the class uses a priority list: First it should always fire ability A if possible. If that is not possible then it should fire ability B and so on. With 1.5 sec global cooldown and the ability to buffer your key input, you can do it as a macro or without a macro equally well. A macro just lets you map several abilities to 1 key, making it more relaxing to play the game in my opinion.

Please post the combat log of this. A full BM sage with bubble and mitigation has at least 20.000 effective hp, so your claiming the semt has over 4.000 dps?
  4. I agree that the ability is awesome, but i dont find the talent awesome. Some say you need 6 seconds because your other abilities or their abilities have 6 seconds cooldown, but be honest, 4 or 6 seconds... if you arent in the middle of an open field, its easy to move behind an obstacle and turn the 4 seconds into 6.
  5. Thats a good point. I now roll with this 32-7-2 http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#501bIrRrRzfsZdMMZM.1
  6. This is my preferred build under the current patch: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#501bIrRrRzfsZhMMZM.1 Its essential to get the 30% aoe dam reduction and the extra damage for master strike. Thats why i only have 1 point to put into Close Quarters. But often in pvp your enemy will try to run away or will do a pushback, then 5 meters is ok.
  7. Im looking very much forward to your results! I played focus before 1.2 and find it strange that there is no dedicated focus threads, so i hope you show focus rocks
  8. Ok, i never played UO, but it sounds like it didnt last. Its unfortunate how BW implemented warzones/battlegrounds. Its not hard to start the match only when there is 2 full teams. Thats the great thing about small number pvp, even on a server that is 10k vs 1k you can still get small team pvp to work great. Of course you need to open the zones to same side battles - and pref. make it cross server so its pretty much instant queue.
  9. Open World PvP has always been a false hope. I have played MMORPG's since 1997 (LegendMud by Raph Koster) and i have never tried a game, where open world pvp worked as well as battlegrounds or arenas. One way or the other open world pvp always becomes unbalanced in numbers or ends in guard-hugging by one side and camping by the other. In which game do you think open world pvp was great? The closest one in my opinion with successful open world pvp game was DAoC, but it still had many flaws also. My point being: Stop kicking the dead horse (open world pvp) and focus on the things that actually work.
  10. If they would just remove the annoying cutscene from voidstar at the beginning i would like it much more!
  11. Playing PT pyro and will continue even tho our burst damage is being nerfed.
  12. Or come to Bloodworthy, queues are pretty much instant on both sides there.
  13. Search by slot. If i want new boots i dont want to go thru gloves, legs, chest and so on.
  14. Good post, puts it into perspective. If SWTOR can retain some paying customers for 1-2 years, im sure it will rival WoW in features.
  15. So your main starter crits for 1k? Maybe you forgot to equip a weapon
  16. Anyone not voting sent/mara as number 1 has no clue about pvp in swtor.
  17. Funny part is people killtrade in Ilum, just so they can complete the dailys and get high valor.... so they can get gear.... which isent needed because people just killtrade. So im thinking: Whats the whole point? THERE IS NONE!
  18. Very good post. I approve!
  19. I play a scoundrel myself, and i really dont fear the nerf. The class will still be strong in pvp.
  20. Or this one, which is more realistic: He hits for 5k+ many times, 3k+ with other abilities. On level 50'es (he also kill some lowbies, but focus on the other 50'es). It also shows that stunning the OP and running away, even having 2 friends help, doesnt save you from death. Example at 7:29 and forward. And its even an OP-sorcerer thats the aim of this, who uses stun, tries to run away, has help from 2 friends ... and still goes down. TL,DR: Watch from 7:30 - you will se example of Sorc + friends dead, 6k+ opener, 4k+ followup on lvl 50.
  21. 2/10 Being a healer sucks, both in WZ and in Ilum. Few medals for healing and no kill credit in Ilum for healing your group = epic fail. So im going to respec to DPS, so no more healing for SWTOR.
  22. Its even worse in Ilum. I got into a group and we started killing imps for the daily and weekly quest, quickly i realize that healing the group while we kill imps does NOT award me with the kill. I have to do damage to the imp, to make it count. So now all i do is DPS and seldom heal in battle, which suck since im a healer. I dont know if its a bug, but its very frustrating. Infact i will probably respec out of healing and into some more damage, which means SWTOR now has 1 less healer for pvp and pve.
  23. Im level 38 with Cybertech and i sit on over 400k credits, so maybe your guys are doing it wrong? Search the GTN for the items that you can make and see which sells best and make that to level (and sell). Dont RE untill your highest level gear (skill 400) except if the best selling gear is from RE (but still limit yourself) I can say i never RE anything, i sell mods and starship upgrades made with recipies bought from trainer, i always underbid the other sellers --> 400k credits. also send your best guy (bonus + high affection) on the Rich missions, very important.
  24. Cyber also has epic ship upgrades, thats pretty sweet. I sell them for 10k (grade 4) and 30-40k (epic).
