  1. How? There are two of them. If you are a Merc and your friend is a Powertech you can duel, knock the powertech up there, he will grapple you to him. Takes all of 5 seconds.
  2. If they are smart they will use Heatseeker and Railshot and you are already dead. Maybe a knockback and one unload to finish you.
  3. False, only thing it procs is a 2% damage reduction stacking to 5 times for 10%. Everything else that it procs benefits heatseeker, unload, and rail shot. (aside from the armor reduction of tracer missile, which benefits everything). Nothing benefits Tracer Missile itself.
  4. There is a way to get the datacron without using the balloon. But on topic. My friend and I were using the easier way (no balloon) to get the datacron, and on the way back we passed by a group of lowbies going for it (they were Republic). So, long story short, we ganked all 4 of them and stood there so they would have to respawn at medcenter and miss the balloon. Fun times.
  5. Fail attempt is fail. All the REAL players know that there are 2 other specs without tracer/grav and the one spec with it requires it in order to make any of their other abilities viable.
  6. Quite soloable actually. I solo'd it at level 7. If you are using a Sith Inquisitor you just gotta make use of your stun and knockback, then dps him down. Something like: Force Lightning, Shock, Electrocute (stun), Saber Strike, Overload, Force Lightning, Shock, etc. It was pretty simple, I used one Minor Medpac and finished the fight with over half health left. If you wait till level 8 and get Reckless it makes this fight even easier. As a warrior charge, assault, smash, assault, assault, assault, saber ward, vicious slash, and just dps him down. It's a little harder due to lack of stun/knockback, but it is far from undoable.
  7. Powertechs don't have a knockback, you are thinking Merc.
  8. I agree, really I do, but exceptional is arbitrary. Is the healer who heals the ball carrier through all the dps on him allowing him to score not also exceptional? Is the healer allowing 2 dps to defend a civil war node from 4 dps not also exceptional? I'm not saying that healers are the be-all-end-all, they most certainly are not, but what you are suggesting would remove any reason to play a healer in a WZ. They might as well respec dps so they can get their killing blow easier or their defuse easier or whatever. This, in turn, would make the situations I named above less and less common, making wins for pugs less and less common. Some people who pug (myself included) play to win, not to farm kills or medals.
  9. I play on a PvP server but I am first and foremost a PvE player. I chose PvP server so that I could, when in the right mood, PvP in open world. Your above statement has no statistic links or poll links yet you claim it to be fact. That is a little bit weird don't you think?
  10. Yea, healers can get a killing blow but nowhere near as easily as a DPS can. Besides, time spent doing (pathetic) dps as a healer is time spent not healing the rest of the team. This is counter-productive. PvPers need to stop thinking about "kill kill kill" and need to start thinking about "teamwork teamwork teamwork". PvP should be similar to PvE but without A.I. Like how it is now. There is an objective that in and of itself requires no pvp (scoring a ball, capping a node, planting a bomb) but in order for these objectives to be completed you have to move through enemies, that happen to be played by actual people. The way it is now works fine. A lot of people cant get their dailies done because of premades. The only fix I would do (temporarily) is change the requirement from "Win 3 Warzones" to "Participate in 3 Warzones". This can be changed back to "Win 3 Warzones" when 8v8 premade Ranked Warzones come out.
  11. I also had plenty of pvp happen on Voss, and Hoth, a little on Tatooine, a bit on Belsavis, and of course a ton on Ilum.
  12. WoW's World PvP died quite a long time ago. Also, WoW suffered from the same thing as SWTOR does. When you left a zone, you were unlikely to ever come back unless you were helping lowbie guildies. I do agree with you on raiding enemy towns/cities though, that was a lot of fun, but even that died when they overtuned the guards in Cata. World PvP is dead, and will be until a company can find a way to reward World PvPers without making it possible for 10 guys to corpse camp 1 guy, thus ruining any way he has to play.
  13. Could always add Kamino in place of Mannan.
  14. lol how do you figure? A boss in Operations does 4x the damage one DPS can do. A healer is supposed to be able to heal through that boss, but not that one DPS? Drugs are bad, mmmkay?
  15. Healers are supposed to be able to outheal a single DPS. What purpose does a healer have if he can't heal through one enemy? 2 skilled DPS can take out a healer, 3 mediocre DPS can take out a good healer, 4 bad DPS can take out a very good healer. 2 good dps and 1 very bad dps can take out a very good healer. Mix and match as you want.
  16. You telling me that in your entire WZ not one healer threw a heal on you? Aw, poor guy. roll Iron Citadel, queue with me, and I'll be your pocket healer. Then you will be alive to see Resolve work
  17. Yay, people with sense! Please, post more sense! Maybe it's contagious!
  18. The only CC that doesn't break on damage are stun and knockdown. The 60 second cc's everyone whines about do break on damage, and snares break on damage after 2 seconds. Also, resolve isn't broken, people just don't know how to use it. You get stunned, that fills up most of your resolve bar. Do not use CC breaker. You get knocked down or whirlwinded, this fills up the rest of your resolve bar. Use CC breaker. Bam, instant CC invulnerability while Resolve is up, proceed to Profit.
  19. Nerf a class you can already walk all over by your own admission? Yea, that makes sense.
  20. The only +crit talent Arsenal has access to is the 6% increase in crit chance provided in Tier 1 of Bodyguard. So that is false. Sorcs have the same 6% increase in crit chance and a flat 12% increase to Force Lightning. None of the Arsenal talents improve the actual damage done by Tracer. And Force Lightning does in fact do the same damage as TM when all ticks hit. As a matter of fact, it probably does more damage per second because it is channeled ticks instead of a flat amount after a cast time, due to it being spammable.
  21. Mercs do have the best knockback, I wont lie on that. TM does not do anywhere near the damage you have been claiming it does. Chance are you just dont notice other people hitting you cause you are so tunnel-visioned. Force Lightning easily does the damage TM does. By the way, whine about TM all you want but the fact is it's BW fault that Arsenal has to spam it in the first place, seeing as all our other abilities require it in order to be at all viable.
  22. spammable force lightning, with slow attached, bubble, roots, stun with damage, innervate, aoe heals 3x better than kolto missile. your witness.
  23. Ever hear the phrase "Anything Merc can do Sorc can do with bubble?"
