  1. I like the first suggestion, it is like the HM FPs, but for classes. Not so keen on the 'play as the enemy'. Smacks a bit too much of cheap console RPG DLC for my taste.
  2. Warzones and GSF are okay, but I think PvE servers where PvP outside of those specific sorts of events does not exist would be fine. They can even still have duels. Just not 'oh, you are flagged, any high level who wants to be a jerk can stomp you'. I might not have said this before yesterday; why you ask (okay, you probably don't care, but I'm going to tell you anyway)? I was on Hoth, burning through the Smuggler's story, and following the quest marker on the map. Except instead of leading me to the Republic safe pass into the next section, it was telling me to go through the Imp base. When I realized that, I took my finger off W. And my character kept going. I hit nasty lag. By the time I caught up, I was already flagged for PvP and getting pounded by the Imp guards (which is what they are there for). I high tailed it out of there, only for some L55 Darth to see me and decide to kill me. I revived at the medcenter, warped to the Cantina, and logged off, because I didn't want to stand there for five minutes, waiting.
  3. They already do it with Kuat and Makeb; though that is scaling up, not down. Should not be that much harder to go the other way.
  4. Maybe. Only because a locked architecture and proper controller might make it possible to get the darned datacrons.
  5. Seriously. Each mission should be a fairly simple tracking class. A unique code (hopefully integer), an active/inactive Boolean, a track/untracked Boolean, and couple more integers for main and bonus progress. I can't imagine them being more than a kilobyte each. You could even remove the active flag if inactive missions are removed from the character mission queue. The 25 mission limit needs to go.
  6. I have been playing since the release and have multiple level 55 toons on both side. And due to bad experiences on other games, and my own play style and schedule, I have never even considered joining a guild (not even for the XP bonus). But now I am contemplating the idea, what with Conquest and guild ships. If so, I would be looking for a casual guild, or a guild that accepts casual players. Only one of my L55s has even a single piece of 180 class gear (i think she has 2, in fact, but I would have to double check as I have been quick leveling alts since even before the 12x). I can't run all the end game Flashpoints with my eyes closed, and more than half of them I haven't run more than once. Some of my characters have sub-optimal builds, either because I think the combo of abilities is fun, or for RP reason. That said, I do know how to handle my role (DPS/tank/healer) and have rarely left a PUG unhappy with my performance. All that taken into account, is there any guild (or hopefully pub/imp guild pair) that would have a place for me?
  7. Must depend on your keyboard to hand size ratio; I have no trouble hitting M with my thumb while WASDing with my pointer/middle/ring fingers. And I didn't intend to imply anything about you; just have seen too many noob questions in General Chat recently, and I am trying to be actually helpful instead of attacking them like so many players do...
  8. Every time what your character says is nothing like what the dialogue wheel implied, take a shot.
  9. I agree. I hate that they are taking away flexibility and control over character growth. I will give it a chance, but since most of my character (which I am told frequently suck in PvP and FPs, but I like playing them) will no longer be possible, I will probably be leaving. And I'd like back all the real world money I spent on Cartel Coins, please. You can keep the sub fees, but the extra I spent on top of that was not for this sort of vast change.
  10. I guess I didn't understand what was happening with 3.0. Might just be time to leave... Anyway, no to multi-classing or hot swapping character classes. Yes to more character options via a third advanced class; melee Commandos/Bounty Hunters, rifle Consular/Inquisitors, and Knights/Warriors/Smugglers/Agents with a melee weapon in one hand and a pistol in the other.
  11. You do know you can hit 'M' to open close the map at any time, right?
  12. Jedi/Sith Apprentices (all characters): A new planet is discovered, where a school of Force Adepts trains without specializing in Light/Dark and shunning Jedi/Sith philosophy. Of course, the Empire immediately attempts to conquer said world and force the Adepts to become Sith. And the Republic moves in to save them (or 'save' them, depending on how cynical you are). At the end of the planet's storyline quest, you are presented with a group of three Adepts, and have to pick one of them to capture/rescue (don't worry, other people will save the rest). Whichever one you pick, your faction charges you with helping them acclimate. They already have Force training (so it does not matter if your toon is not a Jedi or Sith), but they need you to show them the ropes. Be their mentor, friend, lover, or just show them to toe the line. Your Apprentice would have his/her own level (to the limit of your level), and storyline. You would have to revisit old planets in line with the Apprentice's level and complete their story line to have them gain levels. Those worlds would also have a few new areas for the Apprentice story lines. And while your Apprentice is your companion, you level would be lowered to match his/her level. Also, as hinted at in the previous paragraph, each Apprentice would be a gender neutral love interest. Your toon's gender and the apprentice's gender don't matter, you can pursue them. For example, your Trooper reaches the end of Planet X, and chooses the female Chiss dual-lightsaber melee DPS/Tank hybrid for your Apprentice. She starts at level 12, and her storyline starts on Coruscant. You summon her, and your level also temporarily drops to 12. You take her to the Black Sun area where she learns the fate of her Agent brother, and jumps to level 14 (allowing you to act as level 14, too). You then take her to the Jedi temple, where she feels a connection to the Force and either feels in tune with or opposed to the Jedi philosophy (depending on your alignment) and jumps again to level 22. Now her story takes you to Nar Shaada...
  13. I agree with most of these, but especially the Unify Colors fix. It seems like a blatant bug, and one that should not be hard to fix.
  14. I don't hate this idea, but I don't like it either. At its core, this is a roleplaying game. Too much 'convenience' at the cost of immersion and things that make sense within the game world, that is not the way to go. Personally, I would rather have every armor in the game be moddable, and the green/blue/purple quality is just the quality of the mods it starts with (and maybe its sell price).
  15. I've posted in a few of these threads, and I still agree. Apply dye to Covert Energy Torso, and have it also apply to any undies visible. And I would still like to see Covert Energy Pants, to complete the set.
  16. This one kind of makes sense, because the strongholds make most of those cooldowns pointless to begin with. You can jump to a stronghold and out to your ship or fleet. Jump to Capital World and exit there, or Jump to Tattooine and run the PvP area. So just get rid off them to eliminate the extra step, and get rid of or greatly reduce the others to even things out.
  17. I would love not to have to go to Coruscant/DK or the fleet to grab dailies. So I suggest a pair of Priority Mission unlocks. The first would be a Legacy Perk (say level 20?) for your ship that can be unlocked with Credits or Cartel Coins. The second would be a stronghold deco. I would suggest it be available with Comm (Fleet or Warzone), oe maybe Cartel/Bounty certs. Both would look the same, the board and drop box combo from the fleet. They would allow you to pick up and deposit missions like the Emerging Conflicts series, Daily PVP, Daily/Weekly Starfighter, and Weekly Group Finder (any others that should be on there?) I think this would be a nice general boost for players, and help cut down traffic on the fleet.
  18. How about an emotes tab under abilities. I never know which emotes I have on which toon.
  19. I'd rather see a complete overhaul of the crew skills and how they work, but this would be okay, too.
  20. That's for crafting, not gathering. This isn't a bad idea.
  21. Originally there was supposed to be Neutral items. Now we have a lot of alignment unattached items, but no specifically Neutral items. Not necessarily pure Neutral, but Light I, Neutral, or Dark I.
  22. I was thinking something similar. Maybe not class specific, but give each Reputation type a skill that a player can purchase at high levels. Like Space Rep could be a missile version of Orbital Bombardment, Voss Rep could be Mystic healing or interrupt. Cartel Rep could be an attack that improves drops (maybe not).
  23. Converting Rep items to Rep comms (Gary Helix components, Fleet Comms, or the Cartel certificates) is a good solution, but only works for those with a type of comm. I suppose Voss and Makeb rep items could be converted to Planetary and Basic comms instead.
