  1. I feel the same way OP. Beta, pre order, Founder, CE owner. Been subbed through the bad and the good all these years. I loathe the direction the game has taken since 4.0. I would only log on to play the new "content" for the hour or so it takes to complete it on one character. Then I would go play a real RPG I bought years ago, not a "pay a subscription every month for tiny story content updates" RPG wannabe. And have way more fun playing that than I have had for this entire "expansion". This "event" was the straw that broke the camel's back for me.
  2. -10/10 Preorder, Founder, CE owner, faithful subscriber since launch. Unsubbed.
  3. Wish they had done that with all the gear we used to get through quests. Been such a pain trying to find halfway decent gear (weapons mostly) but I miss lots of the little things that were unique. I get the whole "didn't scale right with mastery" but removing so many items just because of that is kind of throwing the baby out with the bath water. Would have been more than happy with empty shells.
  4. When this first started happening (sometime around the start of SoR...) during a lag spike the bug happened. Inside of the explosion effect there was one of those T7 sized droids. Yes, a small droid blew up on my ship. Weird bug huh?
  5. Neither was the female same gender smuggler scene on Tatooine. They got rid of that "bug" anyway.
  6. Wrong. It appears to be fixed (at least for new characters on Harbinger) as I just completed Tython with plenty of comms.
  7. Same here. Made a new character, leveled through Hutta to fleet, got ZERO basic comms. Pretty sure that's a bug.
  8. No OPs. No HM FPs (actually outside of a handful of SM BT/Esseles runs never bothered with FPs). Planetary heroics? Don't make me laugh. Event group content? Again nope. Frankly the only "group" content I even bother with in ToR is WZs. And coming from a former full time raider (who almost never did PvP), that's pretty telling about ToR's "group" PvE content imo.
  9. I barely bought it even with it being Star Wars after beta. So seriously, I wouldn't play this if it wasn't Star Wars. Period.
  10. I feel the pain. Trying to get a few levels on my 50s because Makeb mobs still kick the snot out of them, and a good percentage of stuff is incompleteable due to lack of foresight (and that whole "grouping will be organic" kool-aid the original devs were drinking ). Heck there were barely any people doing the Section X Heroics when they first came out. Pretty pointless/ill-conceived/waste of resources IMO to make such a solo-centric game and then require grouping for daily/weekly stuff outside of Flashpoints and Ops. Doing it that way leads to silly roadblocks for the solo players, who make up the vast percentage of any MMO playerbase. At this point there really should be zero Heroics that can't be soloed. Finding a group for any planetary Heroic is nigh impossible and so most people don't even see them as they level, let alone at end game. And really "Go back and do them when you out-level them" (if you even have that option) is just silly. What a way to waste content.
  11. I sure hope it does. Me wants some more of those crystals! Oh and maybe kill a boss or two since I didn't bother last time. And hopefully they will announce it beforehand so I can get the entire group of dailies done cause I liked the look of the gear.
  12. My smuggler would look so awesome in some short shorts, knee boots and something like the Aspiring Knight's armor without the stupid looking flaps that they stretched to the knees for some odd reason when it looked better the way they were originally. And if I could get them in all black would be so worth it. Options, we wants them!
  13. Slash prices! Everything must go! Sell! Sell! Sell! Cut everything by half and I might buy some of it. As it is the only thing I would buy from your list is account wide speeders. But I've already got the CE speeder so its more of a want than a need. I used to collect mounts and pets in WoW. I had hundreds of pets and over a hundred mounts. Nothing in SWTOR has yet made me think "I must have it!" or "That is soo cute! Must buy!". There are a few mounts I'd like but are either drops from OPs (That I can't do with my game working the way it has since 1.4. Are bugfixes coming to the Cartel Market? wtb non CTD.), have been removed (one of the huge speeders I forget which one but its gone so it doesn't matter), or do not currently exist (a speeder like the one from the Gree "event" except not busted and broken). What would I like that isn't a mount? A deep purple power crystal. No black core, no faded purple, no mixing of colors. Just plain deep purple crystal for a reasonable price. Asking more than $5 for a color crystal is unreasonable IMO.
  14. Yes BW, whoever is in charge of SWTOR armor has some serious fetish with adding stupid doo dads and flaps to everything that would otherwise look if not great at least decent and wearable. Might I suggest hitting them with a rolled up newspaper. If that doesn't work, have a costume designer actually create what they want us to wear and make them wear it at the office....for a week. That should put a stop to the stupid whirligigs, massive shoulders, and silly butt-flaps that abound in this game. See above. Seriously do they just not understand people/gamers? Take Perfect World who they seem to have taken their pricing model (for speeders at least) from. Guess what? They have a dye system. You can buy the dyes from their shop or the AH. The shop sells random color packs for a low price and Black Dyes for a premium. Know why? Everyone likes black! Duh. Get a clue BW. People want black versions of everything. Get off your cans and get to work with the copy pasta and recoloring you already do too much of poorly and give your customers what they want.
  15. Eh, I kinda wish they would just do away with "loot" and have bosses/chests drop a currency to buy all the gear you want currently found in FPs/Ops from vendors. Have a vendor for each FP/OP, including the lowbie FPs and just let us buy the gear. Heck they kinda do that to a small degree with the "Specialty Vendor" on DK/Coru that sells the weapons from the first FP for comms. Might as well let us buy the orange gear we want from them too. No "loot", no ninjas.
  16. I wish they had stayed with the original concept of being able to kill companions and customizing companion roles via a "kit". I would have been soo happy to have Vette as my healer and shoved Quinn out the nearest airlock.
  17. You and me both. For the insane budget of SWTOR, I'd expect monthly updates of voiced content that they had already created a year in advance. We get nothing of the sort. I'd really like to know where all the money went if not voice acting (which I don't believe for a second it was) because it sure as heck wan't spent on the game engine!
  18. Yeah that would make it worthwhile. That's how Blizzard could pull off asking 25$ for ye olde sparkle pony, they gave it to every single character pre existing or newly created and it scaled with your riding level. But I doubt they can figure out how to manage it. Heck they can't even fix the stupid crash to desktop since 1.4 many of us have suffered through. Nor have they managed to pull off many of the simple automated MMO features common is almost every single MMO (character recustomization, character transfers, ect, ect, ect ). Frankly I'm not sure they even understand how their own servers work. Not trying to bash, it just sure seems like they have zero clue about creating and maintaining an MMO especially in today's MMO market. It's like they're stuck with a vanilla WoW copy mentality in a MoP WoW copy world.
  19. They never learn. Blizz does this PvE in PvP stuff all the time for holiday achievements. All it does is make both PvEers and PvPers angry. Devs just stop. If people wanted to PvP in open world they would...wait for it....roll on a PvP server! All this stupid PvE in PvP places ever does is irritate both sides and make lots of irate people post threads about how stupid it is to do it. PvP events and things for PvPers is great! PvP gets largely ignored in SWTOR, so they deserve their own stuff. Be awfully cool if they got their own event. But learn from the years and years of moaning and crying that has gone on in WoW over these things. Both sides hate it and all you end with are hurt feelings and frustrated angry gamers You're never going to get ahead if you don't learn from the mistakes of other developers.
  20. I really liked the Aspiring Knight's Vest until they ruined it by stretching those leg-flap things. They used to be about six inches below the belt area instead of almost to the knees. Now it just looks silly from the waist down.
  21. You know, back when I played WoW hunters always complained about how silly the gear sets looked. Heck we started thread after thread begging them to have some other artist (any other artist) work on our armor. Blizz said "We get it. You don't like our armor artwork. Our artists do. We will stand behind the artists vision." Man the crapstorm that flew around after that dismissive egotistic kind of statement was nasty. Anyway each new armor set hunters always dreaded what they would look like. I mean it got very silly. Eyeballs on massive shoulder pads, sometimes S&M inspired stuff (I kid you not. at least that's what most of us thought it looked like). Then Cataclysm happened and what was our first endgame set as a hunter? Lightning-Charged Battlegear Yeah, that's our heads shoved up what looks to be an angler-fish's rear and peeking out its mouth. In what way is it "Lightning-Charged"? Heck if I know. So it looks like EA/BW snagged a few of the god awful "we must maintain the artists' vision!" germs from Blizz whilst they were rummaging around its trashbins looking for ideas. Get a clue guys. Most of your endgame armor is crap. And you seem to be unable to understand what a rich universe of armor and outfits you can draw from. Instead most armor looks like it belongs to a half dozen other IPs! BTW, know how they got the Elegant Loungewear top that been recolored 3 times now? An NPC on the Imp Fleet wears a dress with that off the shoulder fringe thing, They took the Slave Girl top added that then took the emblem from the Imp Dancer's top and supersized it. That's it. Copy pasta, don't get any on ya. And when they do come up with something decent looking (Imp Dancer would look amazing either in an all black or a black red motif with a plain skirt, but that silly butt-flap ruins it!), they destroy the look with absurd butt-flaps, doodads, spikes, antennae, pads and whirligigs! Enough with the out of place additions to otherwise decent outfits! You ruin what little good work you do with that crap!
  22. Yeah I recall how twinks whined and moaned that they really didn't like one shotting less geared players. How all they wanted was twink on twink action. How it was unfair they couldn't have a battleground all their own. Blizz finally gave them exactly what they wanted a way to turn off xp gains and battlegrounds solely for those with xp turned off. Guess what? They didn't like it at all and tried every trick they could think of including downgrading accounts to a previous expansion just so they could twink in the level 60 bracket without getting "punished". Hope BW learns from Blizzards mistake and never wastes resources on anything twink related. Besides 4 guys doing nothing objective related sounds like every PuG I get into. Just sayin.
  23. Hate Tatooine and Alderaan. Why? Load times made even worse due to all the wasted "scenery" that you can't even get to. For example the canyons/barren desert you fly over on Tatooine. They exist only to fly over. So you made my load times that much longer for scenery fluff?! Like the starter planets, DK Quesh, Taris, Balmorra, and Hoth. Voss is kinda meh. Relatively quick load times and nice compact mission hubs are what make those planets better imo. If I wanted excessive load screen time, I'd play Postal 2.
