  1. Please, for the love of all that is, please stop putting huge hideous shoulder pads on all of your armor. Please find the graphics artist in your firm that has a fetish with giant shoulder plates and fire him/her. Thanks.
  2. You can pretty much max out the graphics of this game on anything more powerful than a nVidia 670 and the card in that laptop is equivalent to the graphics processing of the 670.
  3. Sorry please don't remove level sync. Is has reinvigorated this game and is one of the best modifications they have ever made. Old zones are full again. I have a reason to actually play in old zones. Keep it!
  4. +1 For "Would rather delay than bugs" Looking forward to the Aug 11 release. Thanks for going the extra mile to make sure subscribers that would have had access on the release date will still have access (though it doesn't apply to me I have already subscribed until September).
  5. ...Completely disagree. I am tired of saving the world, let someone else do it. Almost every freaking RPG over the last 25 years has you saving the world. I don't need a savior complex hero fantasy for something to be fun. I am perfectly OK with a chapter that focuses on smaller more immediate things.
  6. We are all guessing, but I am going to guess this was a cynical attempt to boost sales of the new packs rather than a simple error in not adding the pack items to the Bronze/Silver/Gold Packs. Playing games with the store is not smart. It will tend to piss of the player base. Consistency is important in making your company not look like a bunch of clueless hacks. Lack of communication makes it worse.
  7. I was anticipating some kind of movie release tie in. Not a big deal either way, but did I miss it?
  8. I have to admit, giving away something that everyone has already seems very uninspired. Come on Bioware. Show a little creativity.
  9. Companions were so strong that many of us figured out the best party composition for the 4+ Star Forge heroics was 3 DPS and 1 Healer companion. Healer companions were clearly out healing most players. Unless you are a gold seller I can't see how anyone can defend the companions in the state they were in.
  10. I have mentioned this before, but I am pretty sure this was motivated by the need to reduce the cost and speed the development of new content. Each conversation with a PC takes 17 voice overs if you have the protagonist speaking. It only takes 1 if the NPC speaks but the protagonist does not. reducing the cost of adding dialog by a factor of 17 is fairly significant. If you are wondering why 17... you have 8 classes each with a unique voice for both male and female plus the NPC.
  11. It's been some time so I might be remembering incorrectly, but my recollection of that post by a dev was that they now consider having tied an important customization option such as color of weapon effects to a stat giving item as a bad design decision.
  12. While I disagree with your proposition and have little to no interest in PVP myself, your point is well made and I hope the PVP'rs in the game get some attention in near content patches.
  13. I tend to agree... needs to be at least weekly if the chapters are 1 at a time and this short.
  14. In gaming fiction, the most likely event is the one that has no hope of occurring. DRAMA!!
  15. I share your smugness at having made an accurate prediction regarding this game. I have for a long time predicted that some one would make a rambling, barely comprehensible post to this forum. Further, I foresaw that this post would demonstrate either apathy towards or complete lack of understanding of the basics of English grammar, spelling and punctuation. In my vision, this post would contain so much badly organized text, wandering attempts at making a point, and what can only be described as a "drastically overblown sense of self importance" that any attempt to discern the meaning would be futile. I AM PSYCHIC
  16. I am keeping the secret of how to obtain the shiny Red Haired Lana to myself, but I'll give you a hint: It involves a moonstone which can be found on Zoist and 26 uniquely shaped carvings in the Dark Temple on Dromund Kaas.
  17. There is no reason to assume that we WON'T get him back at this point. In fact, the way they structured that conversation at the end leads me to believe that we will get him back at some point.
  18. Ping ponging him around the cargo hold was the only Dark Sided decision I made on my Sith Warrior play through...
  19. I think its actually pretty good for game story lines. Unfortunately few games reach the level of the best books or movies when it comes to plot and characterization. That is balanced in my opinion by the fact that SWTOR is not just a story, it's an interactive group experience: you PARTICIPATE with other PEOPLE. It's not passive, solo consumption. There is pretty much nothing like it. Give the interactive group fiction genre another 20 or 30 years and maybe we will reach "Schindler's List" level story telling.
  20. I am going to guess this is why Game of Thrones averages 8 million viewers per episode after 5 years...
  21. It may be possible that not being able to customize them is a signal that they are NOT part of our actual crew yet. As there have already been main characters that have been killed off, we have to consider the possibility that any / all of the main characters might not be permanent.
  22. Emphatically yes. I am about as old school of an MMO player as you can be. I still have my log in info for UO and I actively play two or three MMO's at once. If I want a classic MMO experience I will go play any one of the 50 or 60 classic style MMO's out right now. SWTOR is the ONLY place right now where you can experience a good story based MMO. The only thing that comes close is maybe Secret World. Defiance tried and failed badly. Not every MMO needs to be a reskin of Everquest. We fortunately have MMO shooters, RPG's, sims, story heavy MMO's, sci-fi, fantasy, martial arts, priate stories... etc. Might I suggest if you open your mind to different game play experiences you would even be able to appreciate SWTOR for what it is.
  23. Level sync is one of the best changes they have ever made to the game. I can level with friends at different parts of their stories. I can have fun completing missions on all the planets now rather than the tiny percentage of planets with level 65 content. I can go back and complete planet, exploration, and companion missions and stories I missed the first time with out them being trivially easy. My guild actually gets together to take on world bosses again. And it just won't work if its optional. "Weee! I can enjoy level 18 content again ** level 65 sweeps in an kills every mob in the zone **". Seriously, if you are a player that wants everything JUST THE WAY you want it without regard to how it affects the quality of the game overall, go play a single player game.
