  1. I vote for a strict solo queue. if one of the 2 queues then don't pop, well, in my opinion it's better than this garbage we have now. But the devs are blind, stupid or stoned (maybe all at once)
  2. WoRei

    How is the pvp ?

It's even more simple - just add a strict solo queue. I prefer to not get an entry than to get queued against premades. But the devs don't listen, dont' care or are too st*pid (perhaps a combination of all) - so I will just finish this season and I am done with PvP. While it's much fun WHEN you get other solo queuers, it's just pure crap when facing the same premades the whole evening/night ...
  3. I could enjoy pvp if i would not face premades 2 out of 3 games ... The way its implemented is just trash ... I never get it why mmos are not able to implement working pvp modes ... maybe the developers should look at other games how this works (and thats clearly not putting new solo players against experienced premades lol
  4. I will just get the one reward i want and leave pvp in swtor again - pvp is not good in swtor and bioware tend to make it more bad - so i dont care. if they want to make pvp enjoyable they either make it fun for solo players or they put incredible rewards in the season.
  5. I never said that premades should not exist - BUT groups premades should play against premades and solos against solos. If the premade queue then never pops - well, bad luck
  6. Matching random solo players with premade groups just shows Bioware's lack of understanding. Instead of balanced games (matchmaking based on player ratings) there are totally meaningless games that you can't even exit without an endless ban. I really don't know who Bioware is trying to please here? They can't seriously think that this is fun, can they? Nobody can be that stupid.
  7. I would say, it feeds their "melee" side. I am pretty sure they only play melees (if they play the game at all): "Look, those crap range players are yelling again. HAHAHA - get the popcorn, we are nerfing them endlessly - HAHAHAHA"
  8. Hey, they do something for you - they bring Lightning down to the bottom, so you don't feel lonely anymore. Their DPS estimations must be total garbage
  9. Ah, thats why everybody is telling sorcs that they should better bring a PT or mara to the raid because they are so good ;-) You are always talking about single target dmg - how many bosses are there with no adds and alone? not so many. How is the dps parse on bosses with adds? You will never find a sorc on top of that but because it can outdamage anni (not fury, you forgot to mention) on single target, it must be nerfed to arsenal lol Maybe they are the best ranged (!) spec but thats because the other range specs are too weak and need buffs (sorcs do not need buffs but also no nerfs)! I have seen so many mercs rerolling PT, mara in 7.x - now sorcs should do the same?
  10. Could you please explain why AoE dot classes should do more dmg on a SINGLE target than a ranged burst class that only can do single target dps (lightning with HO is only capable of single target dmg)? That makes absolutely no sense.
  11. Yeah, you can use lightning at the moment, but it is far from overperforming - so why nerf it? - With the nerfs it will be in the same state as arsenal. lightning brings no raid utility to a team, so why bring it when it does not make dmg either. As you pointed out, it would be better to buff 2 or 3 classes which are at the bottom at the moment and maybe slightly nerf the dps of the other 2 of the 3 at the top (PT gets a slight nerf, but mara, jugg will stay thhe same).
  12. What exactly is wrong with you? In which world is sorc at the top at the moment? Maybe in your fantasy world ... So you are fighting to nerf a b-tier spec which is already "irrelevant" for nim raids (as other players pointed out)? You must be some "special" kind of player
  13. I dont care about the dummy parse, I care about operation usability and dmg. If only melee specs are needed because they provide major utilities AND more dmg output for the group then something is broken. lightning is far from dealing the most dmg on bosses - see the parse leaderboard, there are only melee specs at the top which also provide more utility. Additionally, in R4, there is no huge benefit for range classes. There is so much running for the whole group that a range class with cast times (like lightning) has no advantage over a melee class. Hence, balance for me means that every class is viable for raids
  14. No one wants his class to be "on top", but to be EQUAL (!). Nerfing b-tier specs while many a-tier specs are not nerfed is just PLAIN STUPID. Instead of nerfing, Bioware could just buff the lower tiers up to the a-tier and that would mean what? BALANCE
  15. Hmm, do I get this right - their goal is to achieve different DPS for classes? That sounds completely stupid to me, but then at least they could provide that info to us. For example: lowest DPS -> arsenal -> "because we dont like the gun" lightning -> "we hate palpatine and his lightning so they should not deal alot of dmg but underperform at minimum by 10% of average dmg" jugg, mara -> "we play those classes by ourselves, so the dmg output will be at minimum 15% above average dmg. Hey, we develop the game, get over it." With this information I could at least then just unsub and play another (better) game.
  16. Regarding the huge lightning sorc nerf: Could you please explain why you think this class needs a nerf at all? In my opinion this makes absolutely no sense - To be honest, it seems that you don't know your own game. At the moment, halted offensive must be hardcasted on cooldown to make average damage compared to other (mostly melee) specs, which already removed alot of mobility of the class compared to 6.x No lightning sorc likes long casts but it was the only rotation to make enough dmg to be worth taking into a raid. Now you nerf the spec from medium tier into the low performing tier - I think lightning will face the same fate as merc with those nerfs. If you want us all to play only melee dot classes then just remove all other specs from game.
  17. Thanks for your contribution - the perspective of objective nim-raiders is far more valuable than that of those elitist players who always claim everything is super easy (although I'm not even sure if these players aren't just trolling).
  18. Well, for sure it is crazy if you have to bring 6 (!!) DPS players. What's next? No, the DPS check is cool, we just brought 8 PTs, was easy.
  19. Now you've finally unmasked yourself. You don't raid for fun, you go raiding to get something that puts you above the rest. We all know that from other games with those elitists in their bubble. You said it yourself, you wouldn't go raiding if you didn't get the new gear (which you pretty much repeat three times in every post that nobody needs at all) exclusively for NiM raiders. I don't want to be mean, but when you have to rise above others in a game to have fun, there seems to be something wrong with you mentally. I very rarely experience something like this in real life (e.g. sports), but it happens frequently in MMORPGs, mostly with hardcore PvP players or elite raiders. But when all the casuals are gone, those people start whining: "Mimimi, PvP is dead.", "Mimimi, the game is dead". That may be true, but it is precisely the whiners who usually had a significant part in the resulting situation. As a counterexample, I raid to have fun with other people, not to get anything. The best raid time for me was also with 6.x - absolutely everyone had almost the same gear - perfect conditions for raiding in my opinion.
  20. I don't know how gear progression works in current WoW, but since you're referring to WoW Classic, hiding gear in very hard raids didn't make sense there either. Can you show me a real-life sport activity in which equipment is associated with certain advances? You won't find anything because it's just nonsense. You would then argue with the 100m runner: "No, you have to run barefoot because you can run 10.5s and above without shoes. You don't need the shoes for your content. You only get them if you run under 10.5s. That's the way how you should get equipment.". But in reality everyone runs with the same equipment, the differences in performance are not rewarded with equipment but with trophies, medals, etc. And that's exactly how I imagine it in MMOs. Defeating tough bosses or completing tough raids should be rewarded with awesome mounts, titles, and cosmetics. All things that don't affect player performance. That being said, Bioware could have implemented the current gearing much better if they hadn't just focused on the NIM raiders. As before in 7.0, Conquest, Flashpoint, and PvP gear should have gone all the way up to 336. And R-4 should have given the blue 340 gear in SM (due to the difficulty) and the purple 340 gear in HM.
  21. To be honest we all got that by now - you're the legendary player, absolutely world class, rows of people faint as soon as you enter the fleet, bla bla bla. All your tips are completely useless for most casual players. Maybe they will read a guide for a few minutes to get a roatation, but thats it. The majority won't use keybinds, the majority won't practice on the puppet for weeks, etc. And why? Because thats WORK, but they want to PLAY and have fun. For the majority it's not fun to wipe for weeks on one boss in a hardmode operation. SWTOR does not have the amount of raiding players to restrict gearing only to them. Not anymore in 2022 when casuals could just easily switch to another game without that nonsense. The argument "casuals don't need the gear" is nonsense: If you are able to clear bosses in the new operation with 330 gear, then raiders don't need the new gear either. So just eliminate the 340 gear or give it to casuals too. Oh, and before I forget: If you are unable to complete R-4 with 330 gear I can give you your own advice: Read guides, use keybinds, work on your character - that brings so much more than new gear (340), just use the 330 and do your homework.
  22. I don't know what MMOs you are playing, but I am playing ESO since years. They bring one new raid and four group dungeons together with a huge amount of single player content every year without the need to grind new gear. I can play all the new content in veteran mode with gear I got years ago and still can complete it. And if I want one of the new sets, I can just get it through story mode, crafting, or solo content (depending on the set), so everyone can get it (the difference between veteran mode gear and story mode gear is so minor; it's less than 328 to 330 compared to swtor). Gearing in 7.1 is just another step back to the early days of MMOs, when gearing was very immature.
  23. Thats just plain stupid. If one is able to complete the new operation, then this person needs the new gear the least. People who can't do that would need some help in the form of better gear to see and complete the content. Giving only the best players the best gear and therefore boosting them against the medium level players has transcended the bounds of stupidity.
  24. I couldn't agree more. Apparently the developers only listen to a small, elite group of hardcore raiders - there's no other way to explain the stupidity.
  25. Gearing in 6.0 had some minor flaws (why so many different mods?), but at least it was possible for everyone to get gear. Gearing in 7.1 is restricted to elite raiders. Just so they can pose on the fleet how great they are and all these noobs didn't deserve this gear anyway with their inability. I thought MMORPGS were over this nonsense by now, but then came star retro wars 7.1
