  1. a MvP is like 1 comm... most of the time I forget to even vote.
  2. More arment just means people will have more spots to circle. I like the mechanics of 1 spot, I would like ot see an increase rate (possibly adjusted by the amount of people in Illium PvP area at a time) in Central. That is the treasure chest and it forces people to fight. Having three spots makes force fighting a lot harder.
  3. Nah, lets not copy wow any more. /sarcasm
  4. keep hacking and it'll keep going well. bro
  5. Found your first problem.
  6. I'm sorry but you're an idiot if you think 1-49 is all you need to be competitive and from then all that matters is gear. Players will continual adapt to each others player as they adapt to you, their play style and their team synergy changes with each new experience. I am going to go ahead and throw your argument out completely and not hold it agains't the "skill based" PvPers. I could care less if they got Battlemaster by idling in illium all day or grind WZ. I do know the difference when I fight them, the ones who got it legit will always be harder to fight than the ones who sat idle all day after they got to level 50. Bringing in exploiters as a basis of skill vs gear is invalid. Exploiters win because they exploit, they get the title, but the still wait to get the gear.
  7. Skill players dedicate time, they find a way through the hurdle if htey can't get over it. Games like GW and LOL made you guys lazy, that is all. Even I, who enjoy SB and other games that are not as gear dependent find getting gear on SWTOR ton easier. This is not WoW, cause it doesn't take me weeks to get one piece of top tier gear. Even losing you get more than enough points to get geared, and that is assuming you lose every game and for some odd reason your team is made up of pure fresh level 50s and always going against a team of full BMs. If you are talking about a mixed bag and your team, not you in a 1v1 gets decimated every game, then it's not gear, it's skill. You are in your solo mentality still, you suck, gear or no gear. I am not saying the people with gear does not have an advantage, but if you know that already then it shouldn't bother you to lose to them. Cause eventually you'll get a full champ set (took me less than 2 weeks of CASUAL play). And BM gear is not that much better than champ gear, considering you will be slotting most of the mods from Champ set to your BM set anyhow.
  8. Sorry the difference in Champion gear and Battlemaster gear is ridiculously meager, teamwork on your teams part will easily overcome it. Getting geared with champ takes a 2-3 weeks tops if you are playing casually. BM title is attained in a month or less as well. And by all means this is from personal experience, I only do dailies/weeklies and sometimes I throw in a few extra WZ with the guildies. Last grind to BM I did stay in Illium while it was heavy and got the last level in 2 hours. The only time I "grind".
  9. Pretty sure there is only 7 overpowered class in SWTOR, the one that is really underpowered is played by you.
  10. you probably hit someone in their level 40 leveling gear.
  11. you must be the very last person to get to level 50 on your server ever. They just implemented perma delete on all non-50s and right before you hit 50 they stop handing out free Battlemaster gear to all level 50s. This is basically why you're the only ungeared level 50 in the WZs. don't quote me, but I heard they want to remove champion and centurion gear next and double the require valor to get Battlemaster.
  12. I killed one once, solo in a Void Star match. The fight started when the first door blew and I wanted a assassin medal. By the time I killed him my team just planted the last bomb on the door. I think he got tired of fighting me and finally gave up and let me win.
  13. Kinda funny, none of the hardcore skill based PvPers mentioned Shadowbane. As far as I could remember, gear is extremely easy to get and its as much teamwork focused as could be. A well rounded small group of people with decent gear can take on a mob of people.
  14. ummm... How is using Ion over Combust stupid? I'm not being trolled am I?
  15. "You're fine, it's our PvP system that is bad." Is that what you want their response to be?
  16. I do 5/5/31 after many people made fun of my 9/7/25 build. I see their point I have my doubts still but I am having more success when I have to 1v1 someone. It's beside the point, to me in PvP IGC will always be better than CGC. The survival trade off, even when not spec'ed into the shield tech tree is too great to give up.
  17. Well considering the difference between loosing and winning a match is like 20 commedations(before medals). Even losing you gear up fast. Took me about 1.5 weeks of semi-active PvP to get a near full set of Champ gear, and by then I was "competitive".
  18. I can't agree that Pyrotech has a crappy survival, not the best but far from the worst. I find keeping IGC up and not speccing into the auto Combustable Cylinder helps greatly. Only difference is you have to reapply the dot manual via IM. 50% armor and 5% mitigation against everything is too good to pass up.
  19. Still not 9k, but the people he is critting 3.7-4.1k against doesn't look like they are in much PvP gear.
  20. There is a huge difference in a Pyro PT and a Pyro merc. 60% Armor Pen difference. Mercs only get 30% ArmPen not 60% (Unless I mis read the talent tree). Also depending on your playstyle, Pyro PT tree basically keeps the dot on the target with a 100% up time for your RS if that's how you want to spec. The better Pyro though tend to stay with a more defensive build, some even sacrafice a bit of rail damage. In the end, I'd fight Pyro Merc over a Pyro PT anyday.
  21. If you get hit by railshot for more than 4k then you need to put on more PvP gear. I haven't read much on theory crafting, but personally I have only ever hit 4166 damage on a rail shot, against a sage who probably has close to 0 expertise. Normally I hit 3.2k crit that sometimes goes to 3.6-3.8k. I am geared in Champ gear with the 2x impalnt and 1 ear and a BM mainhand. Will this damage increase once I get full BM? sure but only slightly. Of course on a lucky streak I have done a TD>RS>RP>RS that crits every time and knock someone from full to almost nothing, but those don't happen that often, when it does it is very sweet. But most of the time it's me spamming the crap out of Flame burst and then throttling it down with gun attack to ease off my heat.
  22. Yeah, end game content should be gradually added. Can they add more for launch? sure, but it takes out tweaking and adding wanted contents. Why add 10+ if they all suck, they have 3 that gives an even spread of type of play, then now they are going to refine what's good and then diversify. As far as too much end game grinding, I rather doing my meek 2 PvP dailies than have a ton of them to complete each and every day to stay competitive, if that is how you get your sense of accomplishment then make an alt to 50 and do those dailies as well. Of course I want more content, everyone does. I just rather the added content be well thought out and challenging than just another tedious set of things I need to complete in a zombie state after I get off work.
  23. So awesome you ran over to SWTOR and have to tell everyone, cause you're definitely not bored of it again already right?
