  1. Hi, I am an old pvper from 1.0. I quit because they didn't seem to be adding anything new to the game for a looong time. One of the best things about 1.0 PVP was that healers were INCREDIBLY weak and easily countered/killed. 1 DPS could solo a healer easily, unless the healer was a better player than the DPS. This was perfect balance. Having a DPS on you meant you were unable to heal because you were probably going to die and be stunned/interrupted/cced until you died. This was a great change from other PVP MMO's I played and have played recently where healers are extremely powerful and mandatory, which imo dumbs down pvp a lot and makes it not enjoyable. because no amount of CC, teamwork, timing, or concentration is enough to outplay multiple healers. Now they're incredibly overpowered and never die, a single DPS cannot do anything to a healer, regardless of the DPS players skill, thus take absolutely no skill to play. I constantly watch sorc/sages just sit in melee range tanking multiple people, having no idea how to position or play, but it doesn't matter because of how powerful healing is right now. That isn't fun. Having multiple healers on the enemy team turns the PVP match into target dummy PVP where I might as well stop looking at my monitor because no amount of cc/burst/concentration/timing can counter 3-4 people spamming healing. This is extremely apparent in maps with objectives, most notably void star, where you can't ever actually kill the enemies quick enough to blow up the doors. It's just 10 minutes of fighting and making no progress which feels awful. Can we please nerf healers back to being weak like they were in 1.0?
  2. Sorc/sage is the hardest class to play, no other class even comes remotely close.
  3. There are a ton of class balance changes in 1.2 so once RWZ's actually release hopefully things will be a bit more balanced. As balance is right now, sorc/sages will die 100% of the time inside any double scoundrel opener even with guard up and taunts. They are completely useless in RWZ's atm and useless in any PVP vs competent players. I really can't believe people in this thread are arguing that "3v3/4v4/5v5/6v6/7v7/8v8 fights won't happen in RWZ's!". What universe do you live in?Is it nice there? It will be common knowledge that small scale fights CONSTANTLY happen in RWZ's and will determine the winner of the game 95%+ of the time. I'm sorry to tell you this(and it should be common knowledge tbh) but you cannot cap the ball, defend the door, plant explosives on the door, defend the node, or cap the node while dead.
  4. Voidstar is going to be one big 7vs7 fight or two smaller fights, huttball requires organized fights to control mid, and the civil war will also be one big 7vs7 fight or two smaller fights. I'm not sure why you think that 4v4/3v3/5v5/6v6/7v7/8v8 fights won't exist in rated warzones. Do you expect to win spamming AOE on doors/nodes and spam clicking nodes/doors? lol
  5. In the tournament sorc's were dying inside the opener(from stealth) with guard, taunts, and peels.

  7. They do 1/10th the damage of a DPS specced tank. A DPS specced tank can still guard and taunt, even though guarding as DPS spec lowers your damage you still do more damage than a tank specced tank guarding does.

In the finals the marauders lived for an incredibly long time because of these abilities/talents. If you don't remember, then watch the video of the stream in the videos section of my stream, you will see it in the finals. Also don't you PLAY sentinel? I'm confused.
  9. Any spec/class besides DPS merc/commando, tank specced tanks and sage.
  10. It should be a known fact by now that marauders/sentinels have waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much survivability. Juggernauts/guardians are incredible though, and not weak at all compared to marauders/sentinels.

  13. Vanguard/vanguard/commando healer ended up winning the tournament. The powertech/vanguard nerf coming in a bit should help balance things out a lot, but sage's still have the problem of dying instantly vs 2+ coordinated melee DPS.
  14. So far the obviously best top tier 3's comp(vanguard vanguard commando healer) has gone undefeated!
