  1. So we're already at "casuals deserve epics as much as hardcore" debate? If you cant play as much, it will take you longer to get your gear. Thats the way of the world. It may take you two weeks to do your weekly. Thats what happens when you have other obligations. The next step is "I have to work, so it takes me a month to level to 50, while a hardcore player can do it in a week...its not fair". If you only have two hours a day to play it will take you longer to get stuff than someone that plays 4 hours a day. Common sense.
  2. Ha. Baldurs Gate 2, definitely. I loved BG2...though I had so many bugs, especially save-game bugs, that getting through it was a chore. Thats actually a really good comparison. I loved both games, despite their glaring technical flaws. Flaws caused by trying to make such a huge and engaging game. I'd rather have the bugs and a great game than a 'meh' perfect game.
  3. Fanboys ruined this game...that makes absolutely no sense. People who enjoy the game, and are going to continue to play it, are the reason it wont get better.... I think we're losing a philosopher in the forum community when he quits in six months.
  4. "But the universe is a big place and, whatever happens, you will not be missed... "
  5. First, bugs would exist if it was a single player game. Have you even heard of KotoR 2? This massive mmo has less bugs than that game did at release, and I still played it, and loved it, because it was fun. Just like this game. Remember in WoW when the Hakarr or whatever his name was poisoned people who hearthed, then wiped out entire captial cities for a while? I'll bet you said "Blizzard should stick to RTS games, they don't know what they're doing in MMOs".
  6. If you are unhappy with the game, you should unsubscribe.

  9. I'm sure it is! Among the same four people filling general chat all night. Because they're chatty. And they are the same people that post the same thing in 800 threads.
  10. You guys ever see the Family Guy where the guy keeps calling Peter a phony? Follows him around? ...see where i'm going with this?
  11. Thats the nature of whining...its audible, and you hear it. The content masses are silence. They're playing the game. They're playing tag on the playground while the forum qqs are the kid who stands in the middle and cries about no-tag-backs all game, then says tag is stupid at the end, while everyone else is going home happy with a fun game.
  12. Unnecessary and unexpected reward. Thanks! And for the rest of you "not falling for this trick" people, you remind me of the "threw it on the ground" lonely island video.... "Some kid tries to give me some cake, what am I supposed to do, eat it?" QQ about free stuff...
  13. I just figure that 99% of the people 'cancelling' are not actually cancelling their account. They are holding onto the the hope that if they threaten to withdraw their money, bioware will notice their special snowflake of a post, and change the game to keep them. And when they don't change it, they will stay anyway.
  14. Gah! Last week it was change things or I unsub! I'm travelling backwards in time! AAAAAHHHH!!!!
  15. "Sir...it....its Mindl. He changed his subscription for 6 months to 1 month, and he gave us these demands..." "Oh dear God no!" (window smashing as exec leaps to his death)
  16. Grind? You had to grind? If you're grinding in this game to level...you are doing it wrong. Ive done all the quests ive found, and dinged 50 on Belsavis with three planets left. I didn't do all the heroics or flashpoints either. You are bad at this game, or skipping content, and I put no stock in your claims.
  17. There could have easily been no space combat. But they gave us something extra, that a lot of people enjoy. Give an inch, they want a mile...
  18. Instant teleporting to quests...what a terrible idea...I already think theres too many "this game is too short! Im already level 50!" threads.
  19. OP is either a troll, or a masochist. Leveled several characters to 50 in a game you dislike? You know what I do when I don't like a game? I stop playing it. Works wonders. I have one character. About level 42. I do all the quests on each planet (some start out as grey, but usually end up green), my space missions, my daily pvp mission, and about once a week I look for a flash point. Thats about 5 days played. So for my 75 bucks, ive gotten at least 120 hours of gaming in...and theres more I want to do. Not bad for my money, given how many times ive spent 60 dollars for a 10 hour game. He solos to 50, does no flashpoints, then wonders why he has nobody on his friends list? "I walked into the crowded bar and sat in the corner by myself. I havn't made any friends yet. I've been at this bar every night for 4 months, its always crowded and everyone else seems to be having fun. This bar sucks." The problem isn't the bar.
  20. The Force ruins the game. As a Sorcerer, I have to use the Force in every fight, or I die. When I do use it, in the hardest areas against similarly leveled enemies, I barely win... ...wait...what?
  21. I just want to thank the OP for bringing up an actual issue without feeling the need to cry, use all caps, or threaten to cancel his subscription because his game is broken.
  22. I wish people would stop bringing up day and night cycle...first, in other games, I always felt like it was night. Always. Second, we're talking different planets, multiple suns, different rotations...don't demand something that doesn't necessarily make sense.
  23. These are the same people that cried about finishing Mass Effect in 8 hours...didn't do any of the sidequests, skipped through dialogue, didn't read any codex entries, etc., then whined. Of course it ended faster, you didn't play the game they provided. If you wanted a different experience, play a different game. I know a lot of people are skipping planets. I love that that option is there for those players. Me? Im doing every quest on every planet. Im on Alderaan right now and im so overleveled everything is grey. I played for a few hours and earned like 45 experience. Same thing had been true on Nar Shadaa. If I were just after progression, I could have skipped both. The content is there, it just doesn't fit into how YOU want to game...then this probably isn't the game for you. Or you need to give it time. End game content takes a while to develop. Perhaps you were or weren't there when your only options were Blackrock Spire, Stratholme, or Scholomance. If Bioware is guilty of anything, its giving progression based players too many options. Too much pvp exp, too much space exp, too high of quest rewards.
  24. If I went back in time and asked myself a year ago "Star Wars isnt finished, but for 15 bucks a month you could be in the beta", I would have said yes, and ill bet you it was buggier a year ago. I'm having fun. Worth my money.
