Also did they say the transfers will be for low population. Is anyone on Fatman going to transfer to a light server? Enough to make a difference? I dont think they want servers that are light to get lighter. I see failure ahead.

Can anyone name a game that merged servers in the first year?

t ill give it another month. 1.Dead servers. 2.Loading planets is crazy long. 3. World PVP, I leveled to 30 before I saw a republic character. 4.World is not an open world. Mountains are paintings on the screen. 5. Dead servers.

People who think they will merge servers are nuts. They will allow transfers to dead servers not off.

***, i'm only level 10, and just noticed every time I hit my take cover my abilities switch their slot as if I loaded a different bar. I understand some skills will become active when I hit that but why are they switching positions? I'm missing something, but i'm not sure what...brain?

Not really, and every game has its dead servers. This one just has more. They really should of let more people queue up then trying to get everyone in right away in the first few days/weeks. People wont quit over a queue. People quit over dead servers. Don't add new servers right away IMO. If you played other games, you might hate the lack of choices in this game. this game is super theme park. I like a nice blend personally. SWTOR walks you from your car straps you to the ride and tells you when you can get off, and then escorts you to the next ride. Even wow had some more options than this. Also the world is phased and everything is a big maze without much exploration. That said If I think the game does things really well, and the more games we play the more we miss something that its lacking from another. This is a new game and we expect it to have everything all those others games had after years of development. Although I dont think a game should launch without a LFG. If you love it, don't come here much. Its a vomitorium of complaints.

WoW is a themepark, but not as themparkish as this game. WoW gives you options on which ride to get on. And the park isnt a maze with one entrance and one exit. Thats my biggest issue with this game....If I see a mountain I want to know I can climb up it(rift did this well and so did wow) I hate feeling boxed in.

My best guess is they will not merge servers, this is always a sign of failure. Instead they will transfers to servers. Look at wow, they lost 2+ million subscribers and haven't merged. They wont merge until its too late.

How many subscribers does TOR have? If we knew this we would have facts. I don't see layoffs as a big deal when a game as big as SWTOR going into update mode as opposed to full creation game mode. If they didn't hire contractors this makes sense to me. But nobody really knows how the game is doing, so who knows.

Its needs to be opened up a lot. I realized coming in it wasn't a sandbox. I loved UO as a sandbox, but that was my first game. I hated SWG and it was sandbox. I don't mind them park, but this is a roller coaster- The planets are just mazes, you pretty much can only get from A - Z one way on a map. There really needs to be less walls in the game. The story is great, I enjoy combat. It just needs a lot of touch added to make it feel alive and make us feel less boxed in everywhere we go-I'm not sure they can do that with the way the game is set up.

I agree with the Fantasy thing, I know plenty of people who wont look at this game for that reason, my wife being one of them.

They all felt disconnected, they never really made you trust Ani.... They never made you like him, acting was a problem, because of the green screen. The last one was decent. But I never felt she loved Ani enough to die from a broken heart. That's where the moved missed it.

I have only run the black talon, two of my friends wanted to get on tonight and run some FP? Without a tank or healer other than comps, can two 26 DPS and a 20 DPS run Athis(sp?) and any others. XP is not a huge deal.

Everyone I came over with from wow loves this game. buggy, but great. Im casual, not sure people who live for end game raids will agree. But from UO, eq, swg, wow and Rift this one is my favorite so far.

I am loving the Sith Warrior story, its great....Yes I read- Everything from Tolstoy to Drizzt series. We dont read much in this game, so its more a movie. I dont see a lot of movies...so maybe thats why I love it. -

Came over with 3 out of 4 of my IRL friends from WoW, we all are loving it. Only complaint I have is the worlds dont feel open, I feel very much guided from place to place even more than other MMOs. But then I hated SWG so I guess too open isnt good either.

Yes if you play a popular gam long enough it may happen to you. Happened to me and everyone I played with in another game. Authenticators work, its an extra layer and with so many people not using them you are not going to be targeted.

Dont need MODs or Macros, but would love to be able to customize the UI.

I agree, Im questing with partys a lot more in this than I did in WoW. Maybe because the VA cutscenes make you feel like you are playing a SP game when not in a group.
