  1. I always start on bad side if possible, I think its more a RP feel. We probably relate more the LS classes.
  2. We pretty much have player housing, the only difference will be being able to have people enter the house. Its good if you are in a guild I guess. The only fun times I had in player housing was back in UO when houses were on the map. And I had a Red Pker living next door to me. Great sandbox fun. They will instance them in this game, so while a lot of people will love it, its just not my thing.
  3. The only thing I noticed that seemed to bring it to a crawl were rooms with the smoke/fog, I went from a very healthy FPS down to nothing and finally realized it was only when there was fog in the room. No idea why.
  4. I have an AMD Radeon HD 6570 with a Phantom 2 X6 processor- Runs game on high ok, some shadows off. I have a little money burning a hole in my pocket and am just wondering if upgrading system memory will make the game any smoother- Im at 8gb. And thinking of going to 16. Not sure if this will matter or not.
  5. Thanks guys, it has gotten much better, eventually everything started clicking. Still not very good, but now I feel like I am getting better and getting some kills and not dying as often.
  6. I'm just coming back to the game, never got past level 35 first time. No real fault of the game. But I thought now would be a good time to come back. I love dog fighting, and am pretty good at War Thunder etc. At this game I totally blow, I mean really bad. I cant seem to figure out how to get on someone for more than a couple of rounds. And then they are on me. Is there a good guide on this game yet? I don't have time to master it, I just want to be ok and have fun. My oldest friend who flew f18s for 15 years is doing just as bad, so I don't feel too bad. But I feel like I'm flying around in american flyer with cardboard wings attached while everyone else is flying a space craft. In other games I can get an idea on what I s*ck at, I can get a grasp of what I'm doing wrong and what I need to do better. In this game i'm just lost 100% of the time. When the game ends i'm left having no idea what just happened. I walk about from the screen in defeat and a mild case of motion sickness.
  7. The Jedi code is close to Buddhism except for the slicing off of body arts with glowing swords. They dont deny emotions, they just lets them flow through them. Emotions are reactions to fear. I find this is true most angry is caused by fear of some sort. The sith code- I'm pretty sure he looked to the Nazis for this. They turned around a lot sayings and words. They used the word fanatical to describe a positive character trait. They created similar slogans, they murdered the weak sick and the insane.
  8. This ruling makes sense to me, I don't know how the EU works, but inst this just a ruling not a law? Someone is going to need to bring a claim against a software company eventually. In the US this is a great example of how lobbyist control our law. There is no way that owning something is not yours to sell afterwards . It would be like buying a car and then not being legally able to sell it later. That said, I imagine anything that lives on the server is not yours to sell. Only digital data which is obtained to your hard drive. So owning SWTOR I could sell my key code(account information) but that doesnt mean I will be able to play if BW doesnt want to allow the new owner to have rights to their servers. That would be whole new lawsuit Im guessing.
  9. Graphics are important for about the first 24 hours gameplay. But a bad game no matter the graphics will start to wear within 24 hours of game play. I notice I transfer my dislike of a game onto the graphics. If I look at Screen Shots of Conan I get this queezy feeling. They might be nice, but I cant see them without remembering my distaste. Like puking from lobster, sure I used to love looking at that wonderful claw meat, but one stomach bug and I cant bear the sight now.
  10. Graphics that try to look too real always fail for mer. Because they cant be real! And we notice the flaws over time. I find DDO, and AOC look great but then rub you the wrong way over time. WoW had wonderful artist, you can not like the graphics because of the cartoon feel. But I always felt that the cartoon character lived in a cartoon world. Everything had weight to it. Rift should be in here, it had some nice grahics with great shadows and lighting. SWTOR is above average.
  11. Combat is fun and doesnt feel like its getting old like other games. I think it needs lot of polish and some way to make the worlds feel more alive. But its a good game.
  12. You are going to love the new healthcare system. *ducks*
  13. I went from UO to SWG, you would of thought I should of liked it loving sandbox games. No this game was horrible. I remember some wookies just standing next to a metal pole I had to blow up. Thats all I remember- Because every quest was blowing up some metal pole. However they got the social thing right, but don't kid yourself into thinking they got anything right. The reason they made the changes to the game is because it was bleeding horribly. Granted that killed off the rest of the people. There is no way you could of liked this game, unless it was your first MMO and were still playing zork before it.
