  1. Really that's not worth upgrading sorry to say that. Build your own! You can build a really good gaming system (i3 2120 with a 6870 video card) for $700 reusing your monitor, keyboard, mouse, and speakers. If you have a 7200 RPM hard drive you can reuse it and your DVD/CD drive if they have SATA connectors saving about $100 off of that so now were down to about $600. Maby reuse the case if it has 2 fans (front and back) to save a few more bucks. EDIT: PM me if you wish as this will be closed soon.
  2. OK this is my last post on this. He is upgrading from a 6770 to a 570 and this is his power supply took a while to find the specs but this is what cyberpower uses and if i remeber right it has 2 6pin PCI-e connectors so if the 570 needs a 8 and a 6 no luck their. I have replaced some of these so take it or leave it. 700 COMBINED WATTS NO 80+ cert. 480 Watts on the main tell tell 12 V rails. http://www.buyxg.com/spec/getspec.aspx?n=POWERSUPPLY&v=700%20Watts%20-%20Standard%20Power%20Supply%20-%20SLI%2FCrossFireX%20Ready And this is the one I recomended $79 after $10 rebate (not 2-300 as you stated) with 636 Watts on the tell tell 12v rail. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139020
  3. If you take shock therapy for a few years till your a druling veggie then your ready to join them.
  4. If you can find the specs on their PSU's then you would see what I mean. I have seen them not from the web but actually looking at the fried mess. They sell you a 700 watt PSU for a system that will draw 250 WATTS (at max TDP) like his with a 6770 for a reason.
  5. If it fails and takes outher items out then yes just fix it cyberpower PSU's are just junk. Just go to the cyberpower forums and read some then post back.
  6. Here is a revised list with the latest IVY CPU and a 670 GPU (this is killer) should last alot of years with no changes. $1081 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147153 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138357 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127675 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139020 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116505 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145345 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148697 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106378 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116986
  7. See the 2 builds I list here. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=3367&page=80 It's the last post.
  8. Best answer and yes they all have them and if it goes dead PC will not work.
  9. That cyberpower 700 WATT extream gear PSU is really a cheap 500 WATT PSU Use it if you wish and good luck I would recomend this 53A on the 12V rail 53x12=636 Watts of true power. $70 if you get the rebate. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139020 EDIT: Why put everything you have on the line using a cheap PSU. When people see their prices they think that their saving $ because they use cheap parts. I've repaired alot of them main issues are the cheap memory you got to upgrade to the good stuff, massive bloatware is loaded from them, very cheap low quality over rated PSU made for them, ( your 700 watt PSU probaly cost them $20) BIOS are just loaded never properly set. So after that you really saved nothing.
  10. Sorry but what you say is wrong the game caps before 120FPS so why do you say that?
  11. I really hate to say this but buy/build a gaming PC
  12. Remove video card and memory, reinstall memory, and card ( this is to ensure both are seated proplery do not just look at the memory actually pull it out) if that fails and your sure you pluged the new power supply to everything then this. http://www.ehow.com/how_7621610_reset-bios-jumper-ecs.html EDIT before reseting the BIOS unplug and plug back in your 4 pin and 24 pin connectors on the motherboard.
  13. Thats fine with your what 6 year newer CPU with a 3.3 turbo boost, and ddr3 memory compaired to his probaly 2 GB of ddr2
  14. What he said if the fan is turning and pluged into the card or not turning and pluged in. Sounds like they left off the heat sink if the fan is turning.
  15. Well not enough information exactually wich 560 did you buy some have heat issues. is it a 560ti, what pc case do you have. EDIT IS the fan moving on the video card? If not their are usally a fan conector plug on the card make sure it's pluged in.
  16. I have a 6970 using driver version 11.12 with AA forced to 4x in CCC and have never had a problem that's why I never updated the driver. In fact i have never had any of the problems others have with CTD, patching or anything else. i5 2500K OC @ 4.2 6970 OC @ 950/1425 8 GB Memory Windows 7 64 Bit SP1
  17. Drop the SSD their more trouble than a faster load time is worth. The i5 2500K is all you will ever need for gaming. This is $1150 ($1060 if you get the rebates) and includes a good CPU cooler that you left off. You can save $40 more if you switch to Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119197 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128502 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130610 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139020 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115072 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231314 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136533 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106378 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116992 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103065 If your really on a budget this will play just fine. $ 765 (if you get the $30 rebate) Same video card. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147153 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138339 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130610 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371031 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115077 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231311 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822145299 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106289 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116986
  18. Up the new card to this. The 6450 and the 5450 card that comes with it are perty much the same card and is by no means a gaming card. You will be glad you did for 20 more bucks. http://www.envizage.com/products/graphics-cards-ati---pci-express-vtx/grvtx-hd6670-1gb-vtx-hd-6670-hd6670-1gb-graphics-video-card-hdmi-dvi.html
  19. 6970 using 11.12 never had a problem.
  20. I'm just now on the last fight for my story line and really hate to finish it because their will be nothing else.
  21. I support this message as the best answer.
  22. What he said my wife has about the same system AMD II x 3 455 with a 6770 and a Antec Neo Eco 400. During the burn test I did it used 262 Watts at 100% load as per my Kill-A- Watt meter. Under normal usage (gaming) its usally around 200 Watts.
  23. This should be your case by reading the reviews people have put a 7950 and a 560ti in it so you should be good to go. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811163166 $109 with free shipping. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2042280&CatId=7387 EDIT: No worries on the PSU. I would also recomend a 64 bit OS with 8 GB of ram, if you have a 32 bit OS make sure you have 4GB it will only use like 3.5 or so but it's worth it.
