  1. Sorry to say this but you need a new PC. But to awnser your question more ram would help. Upgrade to 4 or 6GB and use all matching do not reuse what you have good place to find it is here. http://www.crucial.com/systemscanner/index.aspx
  2. I think your PC was overpriced I have a $350 video card in a $1200 gaming PC and run the game just fine.
  3. Sorry to say this but you need a new PC for $700 you can build a perty good gaming PC for $1400 you can build a really good gaming PC.
  4. All i can say This is what I would buy in that price range http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sapphire-11180-00-20R-HD6850-GDDR5-Graphics/dp/B0048027IQ/ref=pd_cp_computers_1
  5. Well you could just post a link to the exact PC you have or list it in the post. I3 2100, GTX 420 but make sure you include everything Processor, Videocard, Motherboard, Memory, Powersupply, and Case.
  6. We have very close to the same thing then but i have a older card. i5 2500k @ 4.2 Same ram 6970 @950/1425
  7. To make this shorter your not going to buy anything for $300 to run this game.
  8. Glad to see you have a $1100 PC or should I say the performance of a $1100 PC
  9. Best thing to do is get/build a new PC and no I would not use a product code on that system for a new operating system to pick up 1gb of memory or even upgrade to 8 GB. Your cpu is old and dated your mother board is using 800mhz ddr2. You can get this for $100 same price as a new operating system and everything else will be holding you back.comes with a free dirt 3 game coupon, your power supply should be fine it draws less watts than the 8800GS http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150602 EDIT just not to get me wrong this will help alot but more ram would help some but not as much. Really a system upgrade would be best if you can get them to spend about $ 700 you can build a nice playing system.
  10. Can you post a link to the exact PC you have now? And do you have a disc for the windows xp from Microsoft or is it a dell, HP disc.
  11. You will be lucky if that will play the game at all. So no.
  12. First never count on rebates. Some of those items are deactivated and that was a decent processor about 5 years ago or so. Also the HDD that was listed was refurbished with a 90 day warranty.
  13. Sapphire 6970 @ 950/1425 With AA forced to x4 in CCC driver version 11.12 no issues at all.
  14. First this post really made my brain hurt trying to figure it out. The i3 2120 will play any game out and I would take a i5 2500k and do a mild overclock to 4.2 GHz and mop the floor with the E-Leet i7 2600. 1200 Watt PSU to power my programs, really? Also your going to spend over $2500 And get the cheapest operating system.
  15. I hope your not paying more than $600 US for that. Including the operating system. Better yes at higher settings maby the only thing your really upgrading is the CPU and Ram the 4850 and 550ti are perty close in performance. But the 550ti is a slight inprovement. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/fastest-graphics-card-radeon-geforce,3085-7.html
  16. What is the budget for this build? If you dont know how much ram to get you probaly need alot more help than that.
  17. First ("Can You Run It") is a joke. It says you're not able to run it but here you are. A new video card would help some but might also require a new power supply to go with it, Dell made alot of different Inspiron 530 so without the exact model that you have no help on that part. Best advise I can give you is make sure nothing is running in the background like updates or scans, cut everything to off and low and play the game. For about $700 you can build a decent gaming system.
  18. Well it was for eye candy and the 6770 i listed is the ICEX so if you can find a better one for the price link it or shut the **** up we could even go futher and get the 7770 for the price of a 6850 with slightly better performance. Please list anything better than i did with data to back it up. I hate trools that are younger than i have been building PC's for and now i get anouther slap on the hand saying bad boy please stop. Yes it is out dated but can you dispute it with something other then just your words? I think not.
  19. What i would try is setting everything to highest settings log out then back in and then set shadows and bloom OFF everything else to low in windowed mode, log out then back in. Your video card is good enough, the ram is very poor at todays standards. Check your mother board and see if you can upgrade to 1333 MHz DDR 3 your CPU can suport it this might require a BIOS flash for the mother board.(not for your average gamer you need some tec savey) Make sure your power settings are set to performance, ( start, control panel, system and security, power options. click high performance, ok/apply) ? can your power supply handle that video card.
  20. First I would like to say your going to burn alot of $ to MAX this game out and keep good FPS. Right now your using a $40 video card not made for todays games by no means. I like to start with some eye candy so this is a chart of video cards the higher you are on the list the better the performance in a perfect world that we do not live in. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-radeon-hd-6870-geforce-gtx-570,2834-7.html I will list a few options all look good with your power supply. It's up to you to make sure they will fit in your PC because you did not list the case you have. First about 9 levels higher on the food chain (video card chart) than you have $120 Shadows low or off, bloom low or off, Mid settings @ your 1080p monitor rez. should be very playable. Comes with free Dirt 3 coupon http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161383 Next shadows low bloom low the rest is up to you. I would buy this and not look back and enjoy the game. $170 Comes with free Dirt 3 coupon http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102948 Now for the answer to your question. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102987 Maxed? very close.$200 today then the sale ends. Now to get ahead of the people that say I MAX this game out with a xxx $100 video card please post a youtube video showing these MAX settings when on fleet with more than 10 people or in a warzone/ opps showing your FPS @1080p monitor rez. EDIT: I would use video card driver version 11.12 with all the cards on this list, I use it with my 6970 and have never had a issue. Also clean your PC as i'm sure it has never been cleaned (youtube how to clean a PC) always hold the fans still when doing this. I hope this helps it's the best advise I can give I've been building gaming PC's from the early 90's.
  21. Right thats why i used the same brand to compair the 560 vs the 560ti. Overclocking to get 2 or 3 more FPS usally is not worth it but to each their own.
  22. Something to look at here I used the same brand cards and each brand has some variances in performance. 560, 560ti, gt430 http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/charts/2011-gaming-graphics-charts/compare,2668.html?prod%5B4967%5D=on&prod%5B4970%5D=on&prod%5B4929%5D=on
  23. This is my last post on this as not to get into a epion match. The OP was looking for a good card that could be used when his/her system was upgraded and still last a few years. The 550ti is a decent card for $120 but not what would be considered with a $200 budget when upgrading if you can get something better. Here are just the facts the cards being looked at have close to 2x the performance as the 550ti, and I looked at the prices for the parts you listed and you over paid by $114 http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/charts/2011-gaming-graphics-charts/compare,2668.html?prod%5B5002%5D=on&prod%5B5062%5D=on&prod%5B4977%5D=on
  24. The EVGA 560ti I can say is a very good card I used one in my last build. The Zotac I have never used. If your counting on the rebate do some research usally their slow, hard, complicated to get if at all. If you do not like what you see the card I listed is a very good card also and requires no rebate. But all of those are good choices if your going to upgrade your syytem and reuse them. EDIT:I like the way people say they MAX the game out to me maxed is everything turned to highest settings with steady 60 FPS. With the PC I listed above I run shadows on low AA forced on to 4x through CCC everything else maxed as they say, and have seen some dips very briefly to 35 FPS or so (on fleet or during PVP but it recovers very quickly) Also I love your siggy made me LOL I think them were YELLOW tears.
  25. 550m UG why do people try to game on a studio laptop?
