  1. I never seen anything promised in the future for buying the CE. EDIT: everybody got what they paid for.
  2. I bought the CE for me and bought the DDE for my son. I recived a box in the mail and opened it up and yes it all was their everything I paid for. For my son he recived nothing not even a copy of the game on disc he got a digital download and some in game pixels again everything that was paid for. If you look at the prices it comes out to about the same profit for BIO. Paid more for the CE and got some neat stuff, paid less for the DDE and got nothing but the game. This is just my thoughts.
  3. Lets start with the past. 30 Free days to people that are level 50 in this thinking subs are droping like flies because their nothing to do. If we give them 30 days free time and roll something out in that time frame we will loose x amount of $ but will keep x amount of subs for the next month. ( this was a slap in the face to people like me that had been paying the same amount of time but had very limited play time due to real life demands) I was not level 50 so I still had game content. Next step was to down size the staff. Present day F2P. If we go F2P we can pick up $15 from x amount of new players that will play but we can keep the subs by saying that the F2P will not have total access to the game. So now we will get the $15 a month from most of the subs and a one time income of $15 from x amount of new players. (roll out 1.4 when this goes into effect) Future: Were not getting near the income from the F2P players we expected so we will offer a $15 upgrade for total access of all op's and give the subs some free in game stuff to make them happy. Then still need more income $15 for all F2P players for total access to all warzones and give the subs some more neat stuff to make them happy. The next step is the killer $15 more for all the F2P players for total game access we will lose all subs but at least we had them for X amount of time over just going F2P. This is just my thoughts feal free to chime in.
  4. Well thats it for me I"M OUT. Augest 28 for the new game!
  5. Well I just beat both with this build, includes the operating system and optical drive that both of them were missing. Better video card, more HDD space although not a SSD, not as good of a case but it works (it just holds parts) I would take this i3 2120 sandy bridge CPU over any AMD in it's price range for gaming. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/dmsw
  6. Yes the GPU is not quite as good but the 3 or 4 FPS are not enough to increase the price by 25% as far as the directx11 that's a bigger gap but everything still uses directx9 that I know of. I'm not really sure what that's used for so you might need to research it some and see if it's something you would use. For my hard drives wich might not be the best setup for you. I have a Samsung 830 64 gb (boot drive) with my operating system, all drivers, and some utility programs, Samsung 830 256gb for games, and a Seagate Barracuda 1TB for backups and everything else.It took me 4 hours for some reason to get the 2nd SSD to be reconized by windows 7 it showed it in my BIOS but not reconized by my PC (ended up actually loading the operating system on it then it showed up go figure) I would recomend the Samsung 830 SSD but with the hit and miss quality of HDD's your own your own. If you get the Samsung SSD go to their website and download the Magician software. EDIT: with this being your business PC I would get a very high quality HDD for backup or run a disc scan on the one you have and maby erase and reuse it.
  7. First that looks like a solid build. I would get the Samsung 830 SSD to get away from the SandForce controller. I use 2 of these a 64GB for the OS, drivers, and a few programs, and a 256 GB for other things along with a 1TB SB HDD. But one will do fine. They cost a little more but worth it after the MB post screen windows is loaded and ready to use in like 10 seconds. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147164 Or if you need the bracket wich your case should already have a SSD mounting bay. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147135 For the motherboard this one will save you $100 and has good features, 4 SATA 6Gb/s 4 SATA 3Gb/s, USB 3.0 header on the board ( your case already has the front USB 3.0 headers so you will not need the supplied one with the MB) and you could add anouther GPU later if needed in SLI. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138354 GPU this one will save $100 and has very colse performance. http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/555?vs=598 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130787 Optional CPU cooler I always replace the stock one on a high performance build and if you decide to OC in the future your ready to go. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099 For the HDD i'm not really a fan of the Rapture or anything over 1TB but that's your choice. Like I said nothing wrong with your first build just giving you some options, but I would get the SSD I listed.
  8. Just a few questions before I post what I would do. But yes the SSD is Killer I would get the Samsung 830 and get 2 as I have. 1: Are you going to be Overclocking the CPU? 2: Do you have a aftermarket CPU cooler already if so wich one? 3: Are you using the same case if so wich one do you have? 4: Do you plan on running more than 1 video card in the future (SLI) ? 5: Is this mainly for gaming or do you use programs that require a high memory usage like folding or editing?
  9. I stoped reading when I seen the source (bettor.com) The game started out broke then it got worse with every patch. In 3 more months they can just shut down all the servers but 3 and just have a single PVE, PVP, and a RP server. STOP THE PRESSES this just in from bettor.com their already doing that.
  10. This will run it as good as it will run. $1325 http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Mega_Special_III/ Make these changes Max case fans pick your color, CPU cooler- cooler master hyper 212, video card 7950 HIS ice x Power supply corsair tx650 and add windows 7 HP 64 bit Build 2 not as good $1100 http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Mega_Special_I/ Changes max case fans, CPU 4170, Video card 7850, and add windows 7 HP 64 bit. Or build this it would be hard to beat as far as price to performance $730 http://pcpartpicker.com/p/cR1K
  11. Static strip not nessary if you are touching the PC case. The (youtube link above is a 3 part how to ) that shows you everything about building a PC. But for the first time builder the best advice I can give is get a tech savey friend to help. You can also take the parts to a trusted PC shop and pay them to put it together but ask a few of your friends you should be able to find some help and would be suprised how easy it is. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16899261005 EDIT square pegs do not fit in round holes it's perty much that simple the wires fit in one spot.
  12. See my Edit on my post about 3 post up if you can build one it will run the game just fine not maxed but good FPS.
  13. Well that one does not even have a video card. Your not going to buy a premade $600 PC and be able to run this game well. This is $1125 with making these changes and yes make them. CPU Free upgrade to the AMD FX-8150 Cooling Fan upgrade to the cooler Master Hyper 212 Memory upgrade to the Corsair Vengeance PSU upgrade to the Corsair CMPSU-750TXV2 ( this is a little overkill but its a free upgrade from the 650 http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Gamer_Scorpius_9000/ EDIT: but you can build one for that just over $600 http://pcpartpicker.com/p/bQm2
  14. The 520 is not a gaming card if it was why would you tell him to replace it without knowing what power supply he has even.
  15. Their very close in performance depends on the game here is a link. I would get the 6850 http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/536?vs=539
  16. So your running everthing on the highest setting including shadows and bloom. I would like to see what specs your PC has. I saw a post where a guy was running a AMD 4200+ CPU and a 6450 GPU saying he had everything maxed out with 120 FPS. But the game caps at 111FPS and he has a decent video card for watching movies but nothing near a gaming card. If you have to add a video card then more than likely you also need a new PSU, Dell cuts their wattage very close to what comes with the PC. I would go to Ebay and buy a used PC before I bought a Dell. Also as far as turning off the AA i have it forced on through CCC and the game runs better. Not to undermind what you said I just hate to see people buy a Dell that can not be upgraded in the future. PS and the Cyberpower PSU's are really poor quality, their overrated
  17. Thanks for the help everyone. I installed a old HDD i had and used Norton Ghost (came free with the SSD) to move everything I wonted to save from my other HDD but not move to the SSD. Got Windows installed on the SSD and running updates now. Then I'll move my drivers to the SSD, reformat my storage drive for a fresh start on it and move my saved files back to the storage HDD.
  18. Yes that was already set up and looks like it can be changed in my BIOS.
  19. So my SSD died and I just recived my new Samgung 830 256GB SSD this is what i plan to do. 1: Remove HDD install SSD install Windows7 and LAN driver, install all window updates and the rest of the drivers. 2: Install HDD and wipe it clean for a fresh start. 3: Remove SSD an install on the HDD windows 7 and LAN driver, install all window updates and the same drivers as on the SSD. 4: Reinstall SSD and set it as the boot drive. Now the question, would that work and have the HDD as a backup or is it bad to have the OS and drivers on 2 diferent drives? Or could I just copy everything from the SSD to the HDD?
  20. You should have no problems at all depending on your monitor rez but if its 1080p or less wich in your case i'm sure it is. I would turn shadows and bloom to low everything else to mid and enjoy the game. Yes it's better then the Dell and cheaper also that Dell is not a real gaming PC this one is.
  21. Look for the model number on your PC it's their somewhere. Infact hear is a link on how to find it. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&dest_page=product&docname=bph07555&product=12455#N48
  22. Thats just wrong if you not going to build the cheap one I listed above never buy a Dell this will be your best deal. $665 http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Gamer_Scorpius_8000/
  23. AMD is ATI and without knowing the exact model # of the PC you have any card recomended could be a bad choice because of size or power requirements.
  24. They will not run this game and be playable. But if you can build this it will but not with max settings shadows and bloom off the rest can be mid but very playable about $530 ( this is the lowest price I could come up with and be a gaming system) Easy build just google how to build a PC, this is much better than what your looking at. AMD Phenom II X2 560 Processor, Black Edition This has aged but is still a good budget CPU, 8GB Ram, 6770 video card (use driver version 11.12), windows 7/ 64 bit. http://www.amazon.com/Rosewill-RANGER-M-MicroATX-Tower-Computer/dp/B006BCK7RM/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&coliid=I15MITPHGOZFID&colid=33X56DQWLFUWG http://www.amazon.com/Lite-On-LightScribe-Layer-Drive-IHAS424-98/dp/B002SIMPXM/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&coliid=IDMG3EOIINVO6&colid=33X56DQWLFUWG http://www.amazon.com/XFX-Radeon-HD6770-PCI-Express-HD677XZNLC/dp/B004Z5GRVW/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_nC?ie=UTF8&coliid=I2HCOKBVEYZXRZ&colid=33X56DQWLFUWG http://www.amazon.com/G-SKILL-Series-240-Pin-Desktop-F3-10666CL9D-8GBNT/dp/B006NXT1QW/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&coliid=I32BXEI30BO93D&colid=33X56DQWLFUWG http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-eXtreme-Series-RS500-PCARD3-US/dp/B001G0WPLK/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&coliid=I2FPNERVKO7F6Q&colid=33X56DQWLFUWG http://www.amazon.com/Western-Digital-Caviar-Cache-Desktop/dp/B00461G3MS/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&coliid=I2NAM13O0JSIO8&colid=33X56DQWLFUWG http://www.amazon.com/Windows-Premium-64bit-System-Builder/dp/B004Q0PT3I/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&coliid=IGPG4PO79D7TY&colid=33X56DQWLFUWG http://www.amazon.com/Biostar-Motherboard-Micro-Motherboards-A780L3B/dp/B006DY3ACM/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_nC?ie=UTF8&coliid=I23KHVAO4AZ57L&colid=33X56DQWLFUWG http://www.amazon.com/AMD-Phenom-Processor-Edition-HDZ560WFGMBOX/dp/B003YV21KY/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_nC?ie=UTF8&coliid=I20KR4WWG9L6DI&colid=33X56DQWLFUWG
  25. Upgrade the ram and turn everything off and low. (4GB or more) Or shell out about $500 for a up to date PC it will be close to $700 if you can not reuse your CD, hard drive and windows.
