  1. Pre 2.0 scrapper probably was the better Dps, but the buff to lethality, along with a large reduction in scrapers ability to crit, has switched that around at 55.
  2. With a pungency thrown in and pistol whip, it's five culls in six gcds. I think that's probably the highest burst in the game right now. One thing a lot of haters of lethality don't understand, is that backend burst is more useful than upfront, partially due to the free heal spam that heal scoundrels can do, at low hit points. Now the heal spec is defiantly fotm. So much so it feels like trolling. I can top all heal charts while not using a single cast time ability all game, never stopping running around, while getting quite a few killing blows with well timed back blasts. It's fun but oh so cheap.
  3. The only thing that you say that is relevant, is in the first sentence It all changes at max level. Observations pre max level don't tell you anything. My scoundrel has been my main so cs pre order, I would dearly like conceal to be good at max level, but it's not as good as DF.
  4. That only applies to your own cc. Not other people's. I agree that dirty fighting scoundrels can do huge Dps though, I break 700k (with most killing blows) on mine quite a lot. Very few do more damage than me in a wz. But shhhhh, no one expects the back end burst, keep it that way.
  5. The solo and premade ranked queues are totally separate. You can stick with your premade, if the prospect of playing a casual offends you so much. But casuals should not be allowed access to the same type of game as you, should they? Games aimed at grinding all day are dieing. They now want to target players with full time jobs, families, responsibilities. Because those people have money to spend in the cartel market and don't suck up as much bandwidth. Or devour content as fast. Gaming is a hobby, anyone who spends as much time in the game as the devs do working on it, deserves pity, not reward. Casuals are now the most valuable players. If you have all day to play games, use that time to do something worthwhile, contribute to the human race.
  6. How silly of them to focus on the vast majority of thier player base. Perhaps you should offer them some advice on how to make the game profitable, by focusing on just 20% of their players instead. Come on we are waiting!!
  7. It just means Americans. Have you seriously not heard the phrase before? Also if no tanks, they can still match, just with no tanks either side.
  8. Getting back on topic. It's not about how you notice a roll. It's about having that roll there in the first place. Would you rather have a queue pop in thirty seconds as seven Dps and one tank, or would you rather it pop in two minutes but have five Dps one tank and two heals. Just what level of queue increase would be worth it for a more balanced team?
  9. Removed as not to derail my own thread.
  10. Imagine at the start if you could see the roll, just like in flashpoints. Healers would get guards straight away. People would know that scoundrel is a healer, so is not going to go node guarding, encouraging someone else to do it. If you see health going down on one of your team, you can see if its one of your healers about to be taken out, at a glance. The benefits would be many. Enough to balance out any increase in queue length.
  11. Since you can't respec, once queued for a wz. Why would you not add roll check to normal wz. You can already see someone's roll. You don't need to match to a certain composition, you can just make sure the rolls are matched to the opposition. What possible reason is there not to do it. The queues would be what maybe 30 secs longer. The number of rep v rep games I have played with 3 heals on one side but 1 on the other is crazy. This would stop that happening. Don't be waiting for feedback from the ptr, no one that's going there will be testing normals.
  12. I'm banned from restorations till October. It takes a lot of restores for that to happen. May as well reroll a totally new class. Go for one with 5% crit buff. Then get the others back in November. It will just be one at a time though.
  13. That was your own fault. Did you not know that if you can use any gear that drops in a flashpoint, you are under geared for that flashpoint. If it drops 69's you need to be full 72's or your just asking to be carried. Gawd you damn casuals, realise these flashpoints are only for raiders.
  14. Ignore all of that. Dirty fighting parses practically the same for both. So neither does more damage. It's a case of do you want ranged and Dps only or melee with heals. The real drawback for Dps scoundrels in PVP, is that you'll end up being asked to node guard more than a slinger would. For ranked slinger is more needed, but most PVP is not rated. Only about 20% if that play rated, so don't base your decision on that. Also I'd expect major balance to be done for 2.4. Bottom line is both are great in dirty fighting, that's why I have both and I don't regret that for a second.
  15. If you want a challenge, solo them. They are just about perfectly tuned for that. Also if your not in a group, you can't use the free healing, which makes them even harder. I have solo'd labs and got the the last boss of the other but pathing of my companion made me give up. I'm sure it can be done though. So thank you for the new solo flashpoints, they are great
  16. I frequently top the damage as dirty fighting no one expects the backend burst.
  17. A team of four scoundrels all with 22/1/23. All can heal or Dps, not to mention the massive number of dots. That combo will be troll central.
  18. It's possible they rp more than I notice. If its just in say rather than global channels, it's so unobtrusive that you'll never notice it.
  19. I must play on a different server. I never see any rp on fleet. Tython yes, fleet no. There are a few rp guilds, most are not though. It's mostly just like any other pve server, except the players average age is maybe a bit higher (many in the thirties and fourties).
  20. Advanced skill augments every time. You should have +9% cunning in all specs, so power is not worth considering, that would have been the only other option.
  21. Hi all, I love to heal and I love dirty fighting, so I have been trying to work on a Hybrid of the two. Below is what I have come up with- http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#701MffMdh0ozZoZGrbkbrooM.3 Its basically only really for PVP, but is gives it gives you the ability to heal or dps on demand. You can spead hots and dots everywhere and use the upperhands to emergency medpack or woundings shots. Has anyone else tried something like this. If its not been done before, then its now called Yin Yang spec

  23. Nice to see people thinking outside the box, but if you have four healers, your respawn times being huge don't matter, as no one will die.
  24. Firstly bolster, it has achieved what it set out to achieve. The gear gap has never been smaller. There are a few bugs, but even with those, the gear gap is still infinately better. So bolster pretty much works. PVP players should be able to work towards something, but building up a gear gap, should not be that thing (they should not need it). It normally is a learn to play issue. It does not matter how good you were in PVP in wow or what ever you played before, you need to spend a crap ton of time learning this game and how the classes interact. Time spent in PVP increases your knowledge of what to do in different situations, it's not reflex skill but its worth just as much. Keybinds are better than clicking. It does take a while to get used to and it does take a lot of effort, but no one that is used to keybinds will ever say, it didn't improve their performance. The only people who argue against this, just don't want to put the effort in to do it (cheat, buy an MMO mouse, I did a d while if took weeks to get used to, it's night and day). Premades are unfair against pugs. How can anyone that has ever player ranked ever say its not and keep a straight face. In a pre made you should only loose against another premade that is better organised. How the game actually works now Organisation beats skill, which beats gear, which is now almost level. The PVP is now the best it's ever been. There are only two things that need fixing. Op heals need toning down ( I play an scoundrel healer, so I know how comical they are, I feel like I'm trolling the opposition when I play it). Also pyro/assault needs to be restored, that would help sort out the dominance of healers. So stop complaining about bolster and enjoy being a PVP player. Play for the joy of it (ilum rewards nothing for killing other players, but i do it cos its hilariously fun) and keep trying to improve.
