  1. In PVP, scoundrel Dps has always been viable. It's a different roll than pyro. A thinkers roll. But the fact you dropped it to go pyro sounds like you still won't like it. Maybe you should go gunslinger since that is the ac for getting in the thick of the action (well from the sidelines). Scrapper will never be for mass group fights. Node defender and ninja capper or maybe healer assasination, but that's it. It's never going to be Faceroll easy. Even if 2.0 makes it a bit more user friendly.
  2. Learning when to use skills like entrench, is part of learning the class. It's a tactical class, you have to plan ahead. If you want Faceroll, this is not the class to play. Plan ahead and you can really dominate.
  3. The hell are you on, entrench short term stun immunity? You should kill what ever your up against before the immunity disappears. No other class gets 20 seconds of being immune to cc. No class should last that long against you either.
  4. I already feel this class is pretty much a resto ele shaman from wow. This would make it just that.
  5. The free players definitely help make the worlds feel more alive. I even like doing alts again because of them, I like to help them out by answering thier questions. They add ambience if not any actual revenue. I guess they provide a service for those that do pay.
  6. A lot of people think that free to play saved this game. Free to play did not save the game. Micro transactions did. They just happened at the same time. I suspect that most micro transactions are done by subscribers. It would be interesting to see what percentage of transactions are done by subs compared to free players. But I don't think we will ever get to know. Honest question. Does anybody here know of any players that don't sub that spend allot on cartel items. I don't, all the players I know that spend a lot on cartel items are subbers. The changes just ended up with subbers paying more than just a sub. (personally i would suspect that i have paid 3 maybe 4 times as much to the company since the change happened, compared to what I would have if it had stayed teh same.)

  8. I came across one doing just that in a warzone. He did half my damage by the end. He helped the team loads.
  9. I know it doesn't survive by subs anymore. They actually want everyone subbed and doing micro transactions. They will do everything then can to fleece people, but that is good business sense. The bulk item packs show how far they will go, it's deplorable but profitable to suck in gamblers. Free warzones, would give lots of subbed pvpers the chance to unsub and still do what they enjoy. Then next up would be pve, as was said a few posts ago.
  10. Your arguing semantics now. I said it was not flawed, that is not the same as saying its perfect and you know it. I agree with your seven points, but that was not the issue. The issue was how removing the restriction on games would increase revenue. To this point, no one has been able to even suggest how they think it would.
  11. Your still not getting it. I never said PVP was flawless. You still have not said how making it free could increase revenue. Until you do that, I give up responding to you, your just after a debate with no actual debating g from you. Also I will go there. I earn a crap load for my opinions on business. It's not relevant I know. The initial comment about IQ was to debunk your statement that claimed anyone not agreeing with you was stupid. Bye bye
  12. There are many responses, which give details of why it would be bad, without just saying you have to subscribe. But you have ignored them all. Provide details of how it would be good and how it would increase revenue for EA, as that is what will get them to make changes.
  13. So you seek to attack me because my opinion differs. I was not aggressive to any one, but your tone is. The bottom line is I don't think the PVP in this game is flawed and I enjoy it enough to sub. You don't, our opinions differ. That's fine. No one is paying either of us for our opinions here, so they are both equal. I do get paid for my opinion on business matters though. Maybe you don't understand business that well, if its not your job, why would you. I understand what EA wants from the game, money. They are not vampires to want to increase income. In the current economic climate, developers who develop to make good games and not money, go out of business. My issue with this topic is no one has given any indication of how making warzones free, would increase profits, as that is all that does and should matter to EA. If you want to insult me that's fine, you won't get a rise out of me. But if you want to discredit what I say, then say how making it free does not loose money, as I can see ways that it does.
  14. Gotta love this type of post. You try to belittle anyone who is not of your opinion. Believe me the caliber of my mind is probably far in excess if your own. I have an IQ of 140, so much higher than the average, but as I disagree with you, I must be thick. Oh dear, learn to debate without insults.
  15. Great plan. Currently I sub. If this happened, here's what I would do. New gear comes out. I sub for one month, grind the set on my four characters. Then unsub for the next four months, till the next set comes out. I can then PVP fully for four months for free in the best gear. That's a business model that's going to make them so much more money. Oh wait they would get 20 percent of what they get from me now. But they will have more players in PVP lol.
  16. You can even go one step beyond. I have full trooper legacy gear, all seven parts and a fifty vanguard and commando, they both share those seven pieces. Frequently sending from one to the other. I have done it with my Gunslinger and Scoundrel too.
  17. As a sub, I find the current queues to be fine (pretty much instant from 9am gmt to 2am gmt), both when leveling and at 50, so increasing the number of players will not improve the queue times. I think the thing people dont understand with the restrictions are that they are deliberatly annoying you, as they want you to get your wallet out and sub, they dont want to give free unlimited warzones, that does not increase their profits. This game does not have a free to play model, it has an "annoy the feck out of people, till they sub" model. if they made warzones free and removed teh restrictions for gear so free to play could get artifact purples, they would actually loose subscribers, as beleive it or not many people play jsut for the pvp. It does not mater if it takes 3 times as long to get gear, if you pvp a lot you have full tier gear in a week. If tat takes 3 weeks so what (everyone else will take just as long, except for the few pvp players which remaied subbed), they only update it 3 times a year anyway.
  18. Not true. I sub just for PVP. I know of others that do it too. Some don't understand the PVP in this game. It's much more objective focused than many are used to, it's not for people who just want to death match. From my perspective it's the best MMO PVP out there right now. That's because I like the tactical elements of it. I kind of get the ops point, but as has been said, if I could PVP as much as I like, I would not sub. Restrictions on comms means nothing if you actually enjoy the PVP and are not doing it just for gear.
  19. Dear god they need to never ever listen to you. You say WoW damaged mmo's lol. Pre wow a successfull MMO had 200k players. WoW at it's peak had 12 million. It expanded the player base by a factor of twenty or so and brought infinately more money to the genre. Pre wow, mmo's were not for casual players at all. They were more grindy than they are now. I don't play it anymore because for me pandas were a step to far (yes I know they were in wc3, but that was as a joke). If any game ever helped the genre it was wow. The only people who preferred the old way are people who got a sense of personal worth from thier in game achievements. I get mine from my job and family so don't need my ego massaged by a game, I feel sorry for those that do. Bottom line is if there was no wow neither EA nor Bioware would have made this game.
  20. Do you by any chance have a level 49 in lots of epics? Cos thats the type of person who wants this. It would be abused to hell, by people just wanting to level to 49 and avoid level 50 PVP while dominating everyone below them. Never going to happen, put your big boy pants on!!
  21. You do know what the mirror class of the sniper is right? Gunslinger, it pretty much snipes with a tiny pistol
  22. Not quite as simple as that. If they have no bubble on them and are alone, hell yeah, youl take em out before they get any reinforcements, youl probably cap what ever side node they are on (im assuming side node if truly solo target). Bubbled targets can be a real pain as youl be cc'd as much as they are, so wait for somone else to pop it, wait at a distance then gank em. In a mass melee, it depends on a lot of factors, the most improtant being if your target panics, which happens most of the time, in those cases youl destroy them. If they dont panic, then your prabably not going to manage it before they get assistance. Basically stay in stealth and mark healers, wait for one of your team to target them, then burst them down quick. Youl have much lower damage than most in the WZ, but almost all of your damage will have been usefull, as there is no chance to heal it. Youl actually have a huge impact on the result of the WZ, but no one will notice (well except the enemy healers, but they dont do your mvp votes). If not doing either of those 2 things, your going to be solo guarding a node, that can be quite fun if people try to take it, or boring as hell, watching from the side while every one else figts at another node. One thing is for sure, when you do fight, it will be fun. Nothing beats faceplanting healers mid heal, then giving then a nice kick to the nads and hamstringing them when they try to flee. Most of that applies to Shadows too, but they dont have the fun factor than scrappers do. No one has the fun factor that scrappers do, we just have to work hard for that fun. P.S. make sure you have 2 parts PVE set bonus for +15% crit to backblast (it makes a huge difference) our PVP set bonuses suck, so may as well make the other 2 part the Gunslinger pvp one for longer node denial with frieghter flyby.
  23. Bioware have really messed up. I think they know it too. That's why there was no pts. This was supposed to be the world PVP patch, it's not its pve with a free for all PVP gimmick. You want to have world PVP, then make kills reward warzone comms. Or just copy wintergrasp, that's what I was hoping for.
