This game has never been a pvp game, from day 1 they screwed up pvp. Anyone taking pvp serious at this point, some 10 years later is as laughable as the obi-wan tv show. If you were serious about pvp you would not be playing this game. This game is about story, I have been coming back to it for 10 years, making new toons, re-experiencing the story. I never once thought, I need to go play SWTOR for some pvp action.

The classic game was awful, the grind was beyond stupid. I remember back then everyone rushing to get to level 50 to only quit because of broken Illum and lack of endgame.

These kind of posts use to carry more weight but since every game company today wants their mmo to run forever it seems unlikely this one will shutdown for years to come. Its also still pretty popular and has potential for expansions ect. I dont see them canning it anytime soon. The MMO market has a whole is lacking and suffering and no major company really wants to invest in creating a new MMO. It makes more sense to just expand on the already built up MMO.

the whole cheating like crazy stuff is about to make me quit. No MMO should have this much open cheating without a response from DEVS....

I really don't know why they changed the gear system. It was not broken, no one complained about it, so why change it? Why get rid of PVP gear? WHY WHY WHY

The community creates people like this. Trolls such as this is normally the result of butt hurt kids responding to a salty community that talks to much trash to people in games.

We all know that you guys have decided to put all your effort into a single story and the fact that we had so many branching stories, classes, that it makes it really confusing and doesn't fit. Its time for NEW GAME ENHANCEMENTS SWG did it and failed, but you can do it and suceed..... Get rid of all the classes and make everyone into a Sith or jedi..... You can even do this via story expansion. Basically make all current classes branch into new ones that are only jedi and sith and balance them. With only two classes with say combat focuses you can balance the game and make it great again.....

PVP was broken in this game they moment they decided to add arenas. They could barely balance 8v8, arenas will always have one class left behind. Last time I played rank it was zerg the merc because they can't escape, now they are fixed, its sorcs/jugs.

Sounds like someone is mad about their rating...... At some level your right about elo, but at some point it is on you. People have good ratings because they are good, and people that have awful ones are just bad. Everyone has to deal with bad Q's, bads, and bad matchups, good people prevail no matter what. This is how it is in MOBA's and in some ways here to.

I flirt with this game yearly, coming and going and it is one game that always seems to draw me back. The story content (1-50) is excellent and I have great memories. I tend to stick around, PVP a bit and leave again. I will likely head up again within a month or so myself

I still think ranked should be 8v8 none arena maps. I don't even know why they added arena maps. I have ever only attempted ranked in season 4 and did so with both my DPS Jug + DPS SORC. The whole tunnel one makes the whole mode stupid IMHO. Back then mercs were instant destroyed, and alot of classes couldn't really handle being tunneled. I'm sure its worst now with so many mercs and their nets, but back when I played it seemed to be like assasin/OP/or go home if you wanted to Q up by yourself. And the amt of salt from raging children has always been a turnoff really so when they same folks who are crying because you got tunnel rekted, also got tunnel rekted 2 matches ago.

Don't worry about people telling you to uninstall or quit playing ranked, they will tell you or someone that every game, they are salty people. These are the same people that do it on MOBA's and they need to blame someone other then themselves to make it through the day. Even if you were one of the best players on the game sooner or later someone is going to tell you that your bad and should uninstall because of a simple mistake or the match not going the way said troll thinks it should go.

I think its fun but broken on so many levels and has always been. ranked should not include arenas and I don't even know why they added 4v4 arenas to begin with. The game will never be balanced for such and the team based, goal oriented PVP would be better suited for ranked play.
