  1. Aye me too - although it's not finished, I haven't had time to refine the placement of a few things, like the raid or party frames, simply because I've not had the chance yet to be in either of those. Still, seems someone likes it already
  2. Space, screen space or storage? If it's the former, you just have one image visible, when clicked on opens up like it does now into the lightbox, but instead a set of images to scroll through. But yeah, you do have a point, with how easy it is, you can just drop them in and load up, it certainly is convenient - but if, a month, two months from now, you have 40,50, 100 even different uploaded UIs, it will start to become quite a pain, and that has just given me another idea. Perhaps it's early, but maybe there should be filters, descriptive such as how many action bars are visible, or general location of the unit frames like (top left, center, bottom center) or something, there's probably better ones than that, but as I say, when you have loads of them, having some way to sort through the style you want would be good - even just a simple rating system to sort by rating would be better than nothing. It's certainly an alright start though!
  3. Would be nice if you could add multiple screenshots, there is only so much you can show from one screenshot.
  4. Pretty much this, I'm not too annoyed that the servers are down, I understand that, but there has not yet once been any free days rewarded in light of the amount of maintenance they do. When the game first launched, it wasn't uncommon to see multiple maintenance periods during the same week. Considering that a lot of our play time is already taken away, which we are paying for, they could at least apologise for the maintenance happening at this time, completely unscheduled. Hell, the post they made happened after the warning on the servers, so we had a 15 minute warning, and no apology. And yes, they should apologise, I understand emergency maintenance has to happen now and again, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be apologetic about it. We're customers, not mindless zombies to be treat like idiots.
  5. Are you sure about this by the way? I have a few, but haven't started yet, I was waiting for some of the really useful ones before blowing mats to see, but I guess I'll probably not be bothering if this is the case >.>
  6. Would be nice if you could change the cooldown text colour, it going red is quite annoying, but other than that, yes, it's a big step up. Still nothing compared to the customisation and options that opening up a UI API to the public would do though.
  7. Okay so one more update, turns out I needed to restart after editing the layout again. Using the software I linked earlier, using the US Layout as a base, and then editing all of the keys to be correct for a UK Layout, I have managed to make it work!
  8. I have tried using US Layout as a base, and then editing the keys to match the UK Physical layout. This results in the key suddenly not working. Although using the base US Layout, it still works fine >.>
  9. Another interesting thing is that if you bind keys to keys that are different in US and UK layouts, when you change your layout settings, it will also change these keybinds to be now the keys that would physically be in the same location on the appropriate layout. Basically this: If you change from a QWERTY Layout to an AZERTY one for instance, keybinds that were bound to Q will now be bound to A. I don't know if it does so for alphabet characters, but this happens for all those characters between the enter key and the letters as they are laid out slightly different on UK and US layouts. Regardless, the only way I can get the key left of 1 to function is be having the US Layout, which is silly and annoying.
  10. I have been playing with: http://www.klm32.com/KbdEdit.html Using UK layout as a base, firstly editing the Grave key to be something else, such as a, when trying to bind in game, still results in the same issue. I then tried setting a as the grave symbol, what happens is the in game key binding menu is interesting - it doesn't read the grave symbol, it reads a. Meanwhile, typing in the chat does print the newly edited key as it should - in this case, when pressing the physical a key, it puts a grave ` symbol into chat. So basically the situation it seems is this: The Chat interprets whatever you have the keys set as, while the Keybinding UI seems to have some physical list of keys that can be keybound and somehow interprets those keys as those keys regardless.
  11. If you're okay with keys like @ and a few others being switched around, then sure, the physical key at the location left of one works just fine in US Layout. However, the US symbol there is not the same as the UK one, and therefore upon switching back to UK layout (and restarting the game), it will not function. I don't really want to have to use a US layout on my UK layout keyboard just to make a key usable that should already work. I should also point out that entering it into the chat works just fine, so it's not like the game can't read that key >.<
  12. I have a UK Layout keyboard, and it does not work. It never has, even in beta. It's really annoying >.<
  13. The one he linked is 25, which item level 58. Still, Armorings, Mods and Enhancements drop in the Raids, that's likely where that one was from.
  14. And once people proc the Epic Exotech Recipes, which you don't need to be a Biochem for, the same ones that are better than the Rakata ones, what then? What is it good for then? Synthweavers can make belts and bracers that are BiS. Biochem can make potions that aren't even equal with BiS. It's one thing for Exotech reusables to be usable by anyone, but it's another for Rakata to then ALSO be worse - Rakata should be at least the same. With exotech recipes dropping like candy, it's only going to be a short while before every raider, regardless, has an Exotech reusable available to them.
  15. Is there any chance of this happening? There seems to be an unlimited amount of character slots total (or maybe 50?), but only 8 per realm, I'm not the sort of person to play on multiple realms, and with legacy being per realm only, I want even less to make characters on another realm as I'm going to have to level legacy in two places. My main reason for wanting a bigger character list is basically this: 1. I want to experience all of the stories, and therefore right away have 8 slots assigned. 2. There are multiple AC's that I enjoy of the same class, and therefore want to have one of each on the faction I most usually play, but since I also want to experience the story of the mirror class, I want two of certain ACs. So basically, I want a Sage and a Shadow, but I still want to do the Inquisitor storyline. I want a Commando and a Vanguard, but still want to do the Bounty Hunter storyline. I'm not so keen on levelling one up and then deleting it once the story is done either, that feels really crappy. Just to be clear, in those cases, I really enjoy the playstyle of both ACs and therefore want to be able to play them regularly at max level, but I want to be able to play them with my friends. Sure, I could just level the Imperial ones on another realm, but as stated before, then I'm missing out on Legacy stuff. Not only this, when they do finally introduce legacy stuff, I may want some other additional character. It would be nice if the character slots, were, ideally, doubled per server. The main issue I see is redoing the UI for the character selection, but the total character limit shouldn't have to change for this, I'm just asking for a little more freedom in where my characters actually are, especially with the Legacy system being per realm, there is a high incentive to stick to one server. Alternatively, if you could choose an option to have Legacy span multiple realms, that at least would be better than the current system.
  16. People have different tastes, this is for sure - I generally prefer the colour scheme used in the Republic fleet, I also prefer the tents in the cantina area, it feels much more comfortable, as opposed to the oppressive Imperial cantina that resembles a prison, with those high mesh walls. However, the Holographic trees, and the outer "bays" of the fleet being open, are much nicer, unlike the Republic which features no holographic trees, and enclosed "bays" - by bays I mean the little areas for instance where the Speeder vendor is, or where the planet commendation vendors are. In the republic they're quite enclosed, claustrophobic spaces in comparison. Though I cannot stand seeing 90% of my screen in just shades of Grey. It's incredibly dull and hostile. With some other colours, it would look nice, but of course, I understand the design intent to stick to something akin to that of the movies, but honestly, every imperial base looks the same, and it's depressing.
  17. On both my Vanguard and my Shadow, some times, despite being out of combat, if I am running (with sprint on), I cannot put my weapon away. However, some times I can. There doesn't seem to be any particular logic to it so far that I have seen, as under the same circumstances, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. As for the run speed, your weapon being out or not has no effect on your runspeed for any class. Things that affect run speed are: Walking, Sprint, Being in Combat, (Limits you to normal run speed without sprint - check for the little red gun above your action bars) Having some sort of movement debuff, either a slow, which many have, or a speed up like in the Warzones, or the consular's Force Speed.
  18. What quest is it that you're having trouble on? I've been through the entirety of Voss twice now, both times I left at around 47, and on neither did I really notice any trouble - my main trouble was avoiding being ganked. I think it's actually a pretty easy planet because the quests are generally all fairly quick and they award a decent amount of experience. I played through it on an Infiltration Jedi Shadow, and a Shield Specialist Vanguard.
  19. Yes I am currently mostly enjoying the game, however, I now have two level 50s - I've run out of steam, drive, motivation, whatever you will, to level another character, at least right now. One of them is nearly Battlemaster (and that is with about 10k Valor earned from Ilum total, only) The other is rank 30+ I have cleared all of the hard mode flashpoints many times by this point - I do still enjoy doing some, even just for the sake of doing them, which I can't really say about wow, apart from in Vanilla wow. I do really actually just enjoy Directive 7 and the False Emperor quite a lot, they're fun. I have cleared the two raids a few times now, in normal and hard mode, we're going to start Nightmare soon. So by this point, I have experienced a portion of the content available to me, and while I still have 6 other stories to level through, and I even am playing alts here and there still a little bit, I'm certainly not doing as much as I was before, so I'm finding myself now starting to struggle to find things to do in game to keep me entertained. As of right now, I could use some new content. However, my main problems are not with lack of content, for there is, in my opinion already a healthy, huge variety of things to do in game, but it is with the following, and each of these, on a daily basis become more apparent and ever slightly more impactful to my enjoyment of the game: The UI. This is first and foremost my number one issue with the game. Allowing me to move things around won't solve this. It's not even close to being enough. I'm not going to be satisfied with this until I can start making addons, I loved making addons in wow, and I very much want to do so for TOR. The top 30 or so issues I have with the game can be attributed to issues with the interface. Then there is the faction imbalance, which is fine on it's own, but it's annoying that on my realm, since Ilum changed, Empire get 200 valor per Ilum kill, meaning in the time I did my daily on my new level 50 (which is now rank 30 pretty much just from Ilum alone), the Empire are getting 9x the valor I am. PvP was a huge amount of fun for me, but after the first day of the Ilum change, and going into Warzones and facing 6 battlmasters, and now, still, regularly seeing teams comprised of a large number of battlemasters, it has quickly diminished my desire to PvP. I don't find it enjoyable. It's only reasonable when I queue with others and we talk on TS. Then we can actually have some fun games. It's so so to stomp the other team, it's boring to be totally stomped, the best fun though is when you face closely matched teams, and for a long while we were having a lot of games like that on our realm, until it all went **** up. Gear and itemisation is a mess at the moment, Centurion and Tionese stuff is just useless and the professions are pretty meh too. Actually, there are tonnes of issues with the game, there really are loads. However, I am, generally, on a day to day basis, enjoying the game and having fun. That is true as of right now, but these things do weigh on that fun, and after a certain point, it won't be fun any more, however, things are getting fixed, and I'm hoping that the rest of these things get fixed before I stop having fun - most certainly if the UI Api hasn't been released before the end of the year, I won't be playing still, I *********** hate the UI as it is, and every time something happens that makes me notice it (which is often), I get slightly annoyed, after a point it's going to break the fun for me and I'm just going to stop playing. Adding options for the cooldowns and stuff is cool and all, but it's not enough, in fact, you simply can't do enough, the best thing to devote time to for the UI team is to just devote time to getting the UI Api released. The community will do a FAR FAR better job at sorting the UI out. There are simply too many different features that big chunks of the playerbase want for one team to handle it. Raid frames - so many different options, player and other targets, action bar customisation, minimap customisation, map customisation, chat and text, other additional things like raid trackers for DKP/EPGP, roleplaying addons, inventory addons, and this, this is only a fraction of the possible things that people want. You can't do it. Just stop. Open up the UI Api and work at making sure it has proper limits in place so people can't take things too far. That is, by far, the best thing the UI team can do. Please, open up the UI API, in a month I guarantee I will have solved every issue I, personally, have with the UI.
  20. One could be cynical and say that no actions will be taken and this is just a statement to try and shut people up. It's so vague, it'll be hard to know if action ever is taken. Is that Any Imperial Player then? What the **** is an unreasonable degree? My main point here is these terms are so vague, it's hard to get any idea of the scale they are thinking of. It was quite obvious this would happen. Seriously though, the main problem with Ilum is not that the Imperials all have entire armies of Battlmasters (which on Niman, any time you do a Warzone, you see at least 4 per game), the problem is the sheer speed in which it is possible to gain valor, and that is still happening now. Being able to gain thousands of valor in just a few minutes is not ok, and it is still happening! At best a Warzone gives 1500 Valor, in Ilum, you can get far more than that in a fraction of the time - even now with the changes. Hell, as a Republic player when I go to do my daily I get far more Valor doing that than from several Warzones, which would take far longer. It seems the idea of Valor was to make a system whereby those that grinded the most were rewarded, however, by changing Ilum to award so much Valor, instead you have encouraged most people to spend their time there farming other players. Okay, great, you got world PvP, grats. But this is not any kind of fun, rolling around with 5FPS (if you're lucky), in a big zerg squad picking off the few random people around that are alone is not fun, and certainly shouldn't be the intended way to play. Can we please just lower the amount of Valor you earn in Ilum? Even if you remove Valor entirely, you will still have plenty of people there as you currently need to go there for your daily, that alone will keep people going, as it's the only way to get Battlemaster Bags. But as it is, there is a huge discrepency in the favour of the Empire, and almost certainly will be for a long time to come, simply because any kill that they will get will get on the order of 5-10x as much valor as what a Republic player gets. That is not fair, and until factions are more balanced, or there are population caps put in Ilum, it never will be.
  21. I promoted Dorne, I'm playing a Vanguard, and my levelling was horrible without her. There are many times her not being CC'd has saved my life in open world PvP against 2-3 enemy players even. I was afk a week back, and 2 sorcerors jumped me, I had just nipped to the door to get my Pizza, I came back and saw they were on me so I was like meh, whatever, I'll be dead, so I put my wallet away, went and took my pants off, and then sat down - I was still at 50% hp, they hadn't touched her. I then proceeded to bring one down to 10% before he stealthed and ran, and then I killed the other one. Granted, they were idiots, they didn't CC her, but still. It does also help having her geared in full Champion gear with Rakata crafted pieces and implants/earpieces from dailies. Also, turn off her DPS and CC abilities, make sure she's in Healing Stance. Elara ftw tbh.
  22. This sounds odd, but try it - it works for me and everyone else in my Guild, so I do not believe your keyboard layout matters: Bind the \ Key to Minimap Zoom Out's second option. That is, when you go to bind the keys you can bind two keys, bind it to the second, or bottom option for Minimap Zoom Out. It will stop the ticket window from opening. If you actually want to use the key for something in game, well I don't have anything for you, but this, at least, will stop you from accidentally opening the ticket window.
  23. I never stated anyone was hacking, but as it currently stands, some people gained a MONUMENTAL advantage over other players, mostly imperial due to faction imbalance. So I'm just wondering how many of those will be rolled back.
  24. Different sets of people had different opinions. 10 people posting on one subject does not equate to EVERYONE IN THE ENTIRE EXISTANCE OF HUMANITY... except you, it equates to the opinion of 10 people. Brackets were for sure needed, because it was retarded before, but this clearly wasn't the way to do things. Republic level 50s on many servers just can't play Warzones any more, and 10 same faction warzones won't fix that, but it's cool right? Imperials will get their queue times shorter, and that's all that really matters. Just reroll imperial or quit, there is no other option, Bioware seems determined to **** Republic players in the arse as hard as they can.
  25. Are we only talking about the people that hit like Rank 70 here? I'm just curious because I know of several people that were around rank 55 that are now Battlemasters. People even rank 57-58, that are now battlemasters too. That is still an awful lot of farming in a very short time, but is it considered extreme? In comparision to getting to rank 70 or 80, not nearly so, so I wonder, what constitutes extreme in this case?
