  1. Aye, that happened to me, they said I either needed to contact the guy (which I couldn't, he never logged in), or wait the 30 days for it to be returned, luckily in my case, it was returned 30 days later.
  2. Even if you are not allowed to transfer to the few heavy servers, the servers that are really bad at the moment will only get worse - no one is going to transfer to a dead server. So what you'll see is some more servers get heavier, and a load more get emptier. It doesn't really solve the problem.
  3. Come to Niman (not now, it's nearly 4 AM, but at like 6-7PM). I'd love to have even half that amount online at peak times, hell, even a QUARTER of that would be nice. Your server isn't the only one, while there certainly are some servers that are growing, there's also, clearly, a number that aren't, and are in fact, getting worse.
  4. It would be nice, if they don't think there is an issue, for them to come out and explain why they don't exactly - why they think it's okay that most warzones on my server start with 6 players, why the GTN on my server has hardly any thing on it, why finding groups is nigh impossible because there's hardly anyone around.
  5. http://www.darthhater.com/articles/swtor-news/20070-pax-east-2012-interview-with-james-ohlen-and Pretty much there. They say their game is healthy, and because it is healthy, there are no plans for merges. Maybe they're not outright denying that there is any issue, but they're certainly not acknowledging any issue, and certainly trying to downplay it.
  6. I have mine on there, I've updated it since, it's slightly different, and while I want to upload that too, I don't really want to overwrite my old one, as some people may prefer the current one better. It would be nice to post different versions.
  7. Fair catch, I missed that! Even more meh :(
  8. Okay, but irregardless to the numbers, some servers are worse off than others, which you can see by playing on those servers for a while to see for yourself. Bioware is claiming there isn't any issue, we are claiming that there is. You aren't claiming either, simply nitpicking over the data we are using, which quite frankly, isn't even all that relevant, you don't need hard numbers to see this issue on some servers. Unless you think that it's fine and okay that the GTN is practically empty, getting groups is nigh impossible, and PvP queues are taking a long time - when they do pop, we enter with 6. Of course, if you think that isn't an issue, then we disagree, and there's not much more to say, but I don't think it's unreasonable to expect to have enough people around for these things. Those are things you can't dispute, unless of course, you're going to say that my UI is also bugged and there actually is 8 people in all my Warzones, and that the GTN UI is also bugged and there's loads of auctions, they're just bugged and don't show. Oh, and the chat is also bugged, and I just can't see most of the chat from people looking for groups.
  9. Yeah believe me I know, we're looking at (varying on a daily basis) between 5-30 players on the fleet, I've not managed to have a set of /who return over 150 people in quite a while now. We used to have over 150 people on the fleet at peak time, even now at 2AM we used to have 30-50 people on the fleet. It's really depressing :/
  10. The really popular ones though are a safe bet - the others, they could see decreases like the others. Mine had a queue at launch, it never gets past light now. The server is empty. People who are rerolling don't want to risk that happening again - probably to the point of willing to sit and queue rather than risk it again. I don't really blame them, but it really is not a good thing, it's something Bioware really needs to take control of to manage the population to ensure that one or two servers don't get overcrowded and that the rest don't become empty.
  11. Hi Skoobie! I explained twice already how it works, you should take a read of those
  12. Perhaps your server is okay, but come and play on Niman Republic for a week. See what you think then. Try getting some instance groups, see how many other people you see around. You don't even need the numbers to see that there is a fraction of the population on Niman than there was, and that it's becoming a real problem. Some servers are great, but I'm not on one of them, and there's no way I can get all of my friends and my gf to reroll - and a server transfer, if they're going to cost, won't work either, cause there's no way they're all going to pay to move all their chars across.
  13. It shows all players that are Online, which is the key part. There was a yellow post at some point, but you can easily check it yourself. do a /who no arguments, just empty the search box, and you should get 100 results. No more. Now, do a /who 1-20 or something, you should see a list of players between 1-20, maybe that will be less than 100, if not, make the search smaller, until you get less than 100 results. When you have less than 100 results, you have the entire result list for the people within the range you searched.
  14. To be fair, it says in the near future after 1.2. It may come with 1.3, but that's not what it says - maybe I'm being naively hopeful, but I'm just saying, it doesn't say 1.3, so it's not unreasonable from that, and what they've previously said, to expect them within the next few weeks.
  15. If you do it during peak time, you can get a pretty good view of the "best picture" of the active population on your realm. It's not going to be accurate of the entire server population, but it will tell you exactly how many people are online at that time. The who list returns upto 100 players, if it returns 100 players, you refine your current /who until you get less than 100, and you know that within that bracket that is exactly how many of those are online. If you look at around the same time (In my case, just before I start raiding, and again just after we finish) over a period of weeks you can see that the numbers have been dropping. I'm not going to claim everyone quit, but certainly less people are playing often on my server (Niman). The Warzone queues are getting longer, and it's getting more common that they start with only 6 players. The Auction House is becoming emptier. A couple of months ago, even at this time, 2AM, I could get into a warzone within 5 minutes, and have a decent 8v8 game. The queue just doesn't pop now after midnight - or extremely rarely anyway. I'm not going to claim it's like this everywhere, but it is on Niman. Niman was a server that many guilds were even assigned to, so it's not like it was one of the additional servers that were added. People just either stopped playing, quit, or went to other servers.
  16. It's retarded that those are the only options though :/
  17. I don't even have to do that on our realm. 1-20 21-30 31-40 41-49 and 50. There's not been over 100 50s online on the Republic in weeks on Niman :/
  18. So there's been a clear answer now, Bioware has no plans to merge servers: Source: http://www.darthhater.com/articles/swtor-news/20070-pax-east-2012-interview-with-james-ohlen-and I'm not sure how having under 150 Republic players online on the entire server at peak times can be considered healthy. More and more people are leaving or quitting from my server, what I want to know is, how is this going to be fixed? When transfers come, either a load of people are going to transfer to my server (why would they potentially condemn themselves though? It's dead), or some of the few remaining people will transfer off, only exacerbating the problem. I'm not bothered how server populations are or aren't doing, but more wanting a clarification on what exactly the plans are to help servers like mine (Niman). The answer given was a non answer "There a whole bunch of different ways you can do that." - Like what, exactly? I would love to know what the plans are. I ask this because my friends and I have put a lot of time into our characters on our server, we don't want to abandon them, so we've been waiting, hoping for news. This has crushed my hope. If the transfers don't cost, then it's not too bad, but it will still lead to a lot of servers getting a whole lot quieter. If they do cost, then likely it is something we won't be able to do - it's more likely my friends will just give up playing than have to pay to move to another server. What hope can we have now? I like this game, I want to be able to enjoy it, but it seems Bioware really don't want to make that easy. :/

Source: http://www.darthhater.com/articles/swtor-news/20070-pax-east-2012-interview-with-james-ohlen-and It's not relating to Australians, in fact it doesn't even mention you guys, but at least there are server transfers of some sort coming. Paid or free? Who knows yet. Considering how ****ed up the server populations are, they really ought to be free.

  23. Is it possible for a single user to upload different UIs? Do I just need to type in a different name for the UI?
