  1. I often wonder what criteria people use to determine who goes on the list. I guess I understand why a player would "ignore" someone that was harassing them. After that, though, I don't really see how someone can max their list unless other people simply being online is troublesome. Many people have come and gone over the years and it may not be necessary to keep them on your list. Spam bots, for example, shouldn't be on your ignore list. report them, get them squelched and let them get removed through the process. Turn off general chat every now and then.
  2. Like many here, I was saving the rep for conquest and will be unable to get the achievement. That's on me for not looking carefully. Even though I personally like achievements, my attitude has soured on them recently due to the decision to remove points from some and, in this case, create new ones with no point value to begin with, just to cater to the so-called completionists that will inevitably whine because their "percentage" will not be able to read 100% in a category (other than a category they probably have no interest in like PvP). The decision to remove point values or create new ones without points is... well... pointless. People either meet the requirements for the achievements or they do not. If it was time sensitive, so be it. Congrats to everybody that did what was necessary. They deserve a point value and I do not. My advice is to restore point values for old achievements, make sure all new ones have point values and then remove the completion percentages altogether. You can be at 100% and a new achievement is added and you are no longer at 100%, so why even pretend percentage matters? People earned the points they have and were disrespected when the points were taken away because somebody else cried. I suspect in this case, since the achievements are all "pointless" nobody cared so much about the achievement itself, but the reward tied to it. Since it's a Galactic Season reward, I don't see why it can't just be added to the GS token vendor in a later season. That was kind of the whole point about GS rewards in that if you missed out on something from the past, you would have a chance to obtain it again in the future.
  3. Summer solstice may be the longest day of the year, but it is unlikely to be the hottest day, which typically occurs in true midsummer (late July-August).
  4. Is anybody noticing a difference based on faction? I haven't really tested it, but I did start working on some old Pub toons and they seemed to be gaining rested state while I wasn't playing, but none of my Imps seem to gain any rest.
  5. Summer began June 21 and ends September 22-23. Mid summer would likely be around the first week or so of August. We know they just ended the final PTS stage of 7.1 and the content usually comes out 2-3 weeks after that. So even from a pessimistic viewpoint, we're probably looking at the 1st week of August at the latest.
  6. Obviously displaying the legacy name is the player's choice. But to answer your other question, since Legacy names are not unique, the game is tracking something different than the legacy name itself. What it is actually tracking (probably some identification number), isn't available for other players to see anyway. Therefor, there is no reason to display the legacy (surname) of another account unless you are trying to give players a way to identify players' characters that are otherwise trying to remain anonymous. So in all the threads requesting Legacy ignore over the years, I argued against the feature in defense of protecting player anonymity. Everybody assured me that "it wouldn't actually display the surname" in players ignore lists. Now, if this information is correct, I'm finding out that the devs have indeed botched legacy ignore and allowed an easy exploit feature to remove anonymity. You're arguing that the information is "less useful than I think." That is true in most cases, but take a player like myself for example. I have nobody on my ignore list. I play GSF regularly on many characters, but not a lot on just 1. I come across good pilots out there with different character names. Now I can simply add that character to my ignore list, find out the legacy name, remove that character from my ignore list, add another good pilot later and start comparing legacy names to find out who is behind each character. The information is useful to anybody that wants it obviously. It also makes things easier for stalkers.
  7. I've never had that problem. You do know there's a pattern in which they activate and that you have to destroy the droid next to it, not the pillar itself, right?
  8. I never understood the point of capping legacy levels. Maybe they just didn't want to make new players sad.
  9. I don't use the ignore feature, but if that is in fact the case, I think the devs made a huge mistake allowing people to have access to a player's legacy name (outside of guild participation which is a player's choice to join).
  10. If you play a lot of GSF, you can farm those (fleet comms) pretty fast, but you have to enjoy GSF (which not everybody does). I don't remember what all is available in those, but comp gifts aren't all that exciting. I believe those required level 50 when they came out, and am not sure if any of the loot tables have been updated.
  11. Can't you still buy them with fleet commendations?
  12. I think it's still in the loot pool, but it's just as rare a drop, regardless. You can also try the treasure hunting lockboxes (whatever tier it was) and artifact lockboxes.
  13. Why level 47s and why Black Hole and why elites? My understanding is it can potentially drop in any level 50+ area from any mob. I've heard of people getting them in Sextion X, Ilum, Oricon, CZ-198 and those were old reports. Some people got them from what used to be level 50 areas (dreadseed) on lower level planets. But I wouldn't count on that still happening with level sync. Just farm all mobs in any level 50+ location and use your highest level characters to speed up the farming.
  14. There is useful information in the Dev Tracker
  15. You can get all the information you need from the guild logs if that's the case. I'm just curious what the underlying reason is for wanting to have name-click functions on the GTN. Even if you "ignore" someone, you will still see their GTN listings. There have been a couple times where someone has contacted one of my characters about a trade offer for something I had listed on the GTN. I suppose adding a player to your friend list would allow you to know when they are online if you are trying to contact them.
  16. For clarification, why would a person need to "ignore" a player from a GTN listing? Also, if this helps, you can order a USB numpad to plug into your PC if your Keyboard doesn't have one already.
  17. They originally told us they planned to have 2 seasons each year.
  18. That's a product of lag. If you ever notice unusual lag affecting you during a match, what you describe is probably what people see your ship doing on their screen.
  19. The part that was hard for me was dealing with Nolan North's voice acting. Perfectly fine for light side, but completely wrong demeaner for the dark side choices. It seemed so out of place.
  20. SM is a cakewalk where it's almost impossible to die. Vet mode is quite challenging and there are mechanics that must be followed. If you die, you'll have to break out of prison before you can resume your progress.
  21. That was one of the very few times shared tagging cost me some time. I never actually reported it as a bug, but I will now in an effort to get it fixed. As others replied, I don't believe the other party gets credit in this case, but it bugs out the credit for the person that activated the drill. Also as suggested, use one of the back drills to avoid this occurring again. But even after having to kill 3 mobs for the second time, I have saved so much more time simply by not having issues with Possessed Hunter or Personal Challenge. Shared tagging has also helped me save a ton of time with GS targets and allows you to get in on WB where the group that is fighting it is either full or not responding. In other words, the rare occasion where it bugs out is worth it when you use shared tagging a lot for other goals.
  22. I've enjoyed the shared tagging. There have been a couple times where credit wasn't recognized, but all in all, it has been a huge time saver. Why don't you tell us what fight didn't work for you so we can get it reported and possibly fixed.
  23. That just reflects decisions you made on that character. Obviously, you are dark V, so it's no big deal.
  24. I don't have any inside information or know the official answer. But I would expect the shadow syndicate "stuff" to remain around the galaxy until GS3 officially begins.
