  1. Buy a mod or two for your companion or alt, then just level to 23. I was disappointed by the level limitation too, as I wanted to just buy Level 50 Mods and put them in the Cargo Hold until I got there on my current character, however I realized that is exactly the behavior they are trying to limit, and I can see some reasons for doing so.
  2. I am a decliner, mostly because I am a Dad and a Husband, and I may need to go AFK without warning for large periods of time. That said, I never complain about objectives; I do get annoyed when I am clearing out the mobs near an MO and someone runs in and takes it though.
  3. Taking this from a different angle, of mechanics rather than concept, the game is missing (logically) two types of characters: +Strength based Healer +Cunning based Tank For Strength based Healer, I would offer: Jedi Commander AC: Jedi Vanquisher (DPS) / Jedi Exemplar (Healer/DPS) Armor: Medium Weapon: Single Lightsaber/Focus Concept: Jedi Vanquisher is a Single Saber DPS class who buffs his group with temporary buffs from his combat actions. Jedi Exemplar is a Single Saber DPS/Healer, on the Healing side of things, his healing would be primarily AoE based from him, with a few direct heals. His AoE heals would be tied to commonly used abilities with his targeted heals being proc reliant (kind of like Upper Hand for Smugs). Cunning Tank is tougher, but I think this could be a place where the "Diplomat" everyone wants to see fits in. Diplomat AC: Negotiator (DPS) / Mediator (Tank/DPS) Armor: Medium Weapon: Techstaff/Vibrostaff (Cunning based of course) Concept: The Diplomat always has three followers, his class Companion as well as two "bodyguard droids". The Negotiator is used to handling situations in enemy territory and his bodyguard droids are upgraded to assassin droids. The Mediator's droids are updated to be defensive droids. Some abilities trigger action from the Diplomat, some from the droids themselves. Droid performance is based on Diplomat's equipment, with various model options tied to the models of the equipment the Diplomat is using themselves.
  4. Make sure you are clicking the right one, some quests require you use the Ship Intercom (in your meeting room)
  5. I just finished Chapter 2 and I am Light I; I have made my fair share of Dark choices. That said, Light side options aren't "good guy" options. My Operative would rather send folks back to DK for information extraction than let that go to waste. Vector is also my companion of choice, and he tends to disapprove of most Dark Side choices (which don't keep me from choosing them, but make me more careful about blindly choosing them).
  6. Get commendations and spend them on the Aim vendor. Then rip the mods out and put them in orange Droid gear.
  7. Races are fake content man. You need to see through the veil.
  8. What you need to recognize is that all of the formula (like how much Absorption Rating you need for +1% Shield Absorb) is based on character level. There is a reason for this. It keeps the carrot of "better gear" in play. If the formula allows 50% Absorb by level 20, but that stayed static while stats increased, eventually you would be at 100% Absorb. This is still true even at 50 - 51. If you have 50% Absorb (or Crit or Surge or whatever) and they give you 5 levels of better gear, you are going to reach a point where to design challenging content they need to either work around Absorb or ignore it. This makes Absorb worthless, which completely negates the point. You need to have these "new arms races", othewrwise you either invalidate the mechanic or you don't encourage players to seek new equipment (which is what content is there for).
  9. The irony is that the person you quoted clearly never played EQ. There was a reason you had pullers, mobs were not everywhere, you had someone going out to find them while you finished one off.
  10. There are! You can subscribe and get an authenticator!
  11. Time for you all to make fun of me. I am a Pre-Order player from Original Release (I get the Black/Yellow crystal on all my characters). Are you people telling me there is a vendor who sells more of those?
  12. Ugh. Thanks for the answer, wish it was different, guess I need to roll a Knight and a Smugg now,
  13. It isn't like there are many distinctive races right now anyhow.
  14. Standard fare for MMOs guys. It is part of the carrot that gets you to buy the expansion. There is not a single subscription based game out there that gives you a level increase without buying their expansion.
  15. Looking for some clarification here. The description reads something along the lines of "Reached max affection with all Republic class companions". Does this mean that if I reach 10k/10k with, for instance, all of my Trooper's Class Companions I receive the achievement; or do I need to reach 10k/10k with all Class Companions of the Consular, Knight, Smuggler, AND Trooper?
  16. I have all 5 of my Trooper's Companions at 10k/10k; I was under the impression I should be getting a title "Republic Squad Commander" or something like that, is that true? I did not receive it, so I am curious if it is bugged or I missed something.
  17. ^ This. $10 gets me a movie ticket or 15 hours more content for all my characters? I'll take the latter.
  18. That's not how the industry works.
  19. So on two of my 50s, I never did anything in Corellia except my class story. I never had a need to. Now that I am looking at guides and seeing Makeb won't take you to 55 on quests alone, I am wondering if anyone has seen what XP looks like in Corellia quests at 50. Figure if I can get to 52 in Corellia that puts me at 55 in Makeb pretty solidly. Is that legit, or does 50-51 require astronomical levels of XP compared to 49-50?
  20. I am curious if that is true, looking at my history it looks like I get my 100CC for Security Key on a different week than my 500 for Subbing
  21. Because clearly your lack of examples proves your point.
