  1. You can limit the HMs that you queue for in the finder, you won't get the daily, but that doesn't sound like it is an issue for you. I would queue for HM BT and go do dailies or something while you wait for a pop.
  2. Keep in mind that sometimes folks make mistakes, or are coming in directly from another activity. A Healer who is in DPS "stance" isn't bad, they may just be forgetful. A quick "Hey man, did you know you are in <null> and not <blank>?" is, in my experience, usually met with a goodnatured "Good catch, that could have made things a bit painful!".
  3. I am guessing PEBKAC as it was working correctly last night.
  4. No doubt, I run Section X only on two characters each day, and am not stupid on the GTN. 150k/day adds up quick.
  5. I am not saying that it shouldn't be Opt-in, but I have to ask - is this a seriously concerning scenario to you? How many people would the above actually happen to? One? Two?
  6. Do every quest. This isn't really a "grinding" game.
  7. I missed out too, but man, this is a totally awesome freebie, thanks for doing stuff like this BW!
  8. To be fair, it is probably an issue on your end, otherwise the forum would be flooded with similar complaints.
  9. I wonder if that is why Mobs will sometimes aggro Holiday when she is mezzing someone?
  10. Give them time, Bioware is fairly communicative compared to some companies, and certainly falls short of others.
  11. I think your definition of scandal is different from mine. They made a mistake, they are taking actions to correct that mistake moving forward. It's a game.
  12. Announced Date =/= Planned Date Presumably anything they announce or released was planned way in advance.
  13. That's fair, and I agree that there is a solid benefit there, I just think that when it comes to taking folks down in PVP vs. a Ops Boss, you may get your Execute off once or twice (at least in my experience), so the variance in damage compared to other high damage abilities is substantial, but not as substantial as it is on a long term fight where and Ops boss is < 30% for minutes. I did not mean to say it is useless in PVP, just that I think the gap in damage output is more noticeable in Ops.
  14. Group mechanics and responsibilities have a fundamental role difference though; namely the responsibility for DPS to pick up and dirt nap normals and work up the chain. This is vastly different than just a "Burn adds phase" as it is mindset your DPS need to be in with every pull. I can only speak to EQ2 of the list you provided, but EQ2 does not work on a "Widespread 5+ bodies normal - elite with a mid grade" pull mechanic. Now don't mistake me, I am not saying that a Tank should not be managing aggro on as much of the pull as they can, and I certainly NOT defending Tanks who don't bother with anything but the strongest mob. I am saying that if you are DPS, (as a rule of thumb) Normals are your responsibility in the pull, and burning down Strongs before Elites is the way you roll. Edit: Also, not more challenging than EQ2, way more challenging than post Wrath WoW though. I am more arguing that there is a slightly different mindset here, not that it is harder than any other MMO Tanking out there. In SWTOR, an efficient group is one who works the order from the respective start points.
  15. To be fair, we know ROHTC was in the works Pre-F2P; this could be data that is legitimate but will no longer be used.
  16. Out of curiosity, what content are you tanking currently?
  17. I just stagger my abilities, there is no need to blow long cooldown abilities on most trash pulls.
  18. And you have the quest for the pieces? Not trying to be a jerk, I just literally did it last night, so I know it is still working.
  19. No, but it isn't nearly as faceroll as non-tanks seem to believe.
  20. Did you loot HK? I did it yesterday, wasn't a problem
  21. Tanks and DPS are working the progression from different ends. DPS kill priority is: Normal -> Strong -> Elite Tank threat gen priority is: Elite -> Strong -> Normal When I am DPS, I expect the Tank to ignore Normals (2-3 cooldowns on mine drop them), and I take it upon myself to pick up a Strong if it gets free from him. Better me than the healer. I, as a competent, appropriately geared DPS player, should have no problem dropping Normals and Strongs. Once they are done, then you hit the Elite. When I Tank, I expect DPS to dirtnap Normals immediately, and while I do make sure that I gain initial aggro on Strongs, and keep it up as allowable while maintaining threat on my primary target, Elite(s), I know that a competent, appropriately geared DPS player can take down a Strong with little issue if need be. Group dynamics are different in SWTOR than any other game. DPS have a more important role due to the nature of pulls. Anyone who tells you different is selling you something.
