I always laugh with my friends in mumble when a jugg in the pit is running straight at me like he's gonna charge out of the pit for an easy score... and then just dies at my feet. I can almost hear him furiously pounding his keyboard on the forums demanding a nerf to cover...
Gotta love all the arse DPS'ers in here saying "It's fine you suck blahblah keep me alive b*tch..."
Yes, it sucked, but 1.1.5 helped us out a bit in that we now get kill credit for healing a killer of an enemy.
I usually now get:
2.5k Heal
75k Healing
10 Kills
Killing Blow
Somtimes the additional medals I can get:
25 Kills
300k Healing
1v1 if I snipe a stealther at low health
It's really feasible now to get 7 medals as a healer.
But I agree with you 100%.... it's sucked watching people getting 7-12 medals constantly for just DPSing since release... and not being appreciated.
This thread shows the mindset clearly.
It's our penance as healers to save the day and get sh*t on while doing it.
Smart camera toggle is in 1.2
And for a DPS class it's one thing looking around to keep huntards at bay, but when I'm focused on healthbars instead of the "view window," they can have a nasty habit of sneakiness.
gotta love being the healthbar caretaker...
And if your teammates are loitering at the edge of the top ledge or at the goal line when a marauder/juggernaut has the ball... viciously abuse them verbally.
I'm more pissed about the idea that if i'm focused doing something else... and the first warning that a bounty huntard has me targeted is a tracer missle up my arse... by the time I turn around and get him targeted and interrupted, i've lost 4-8k hp to noobtard missle spam...
Good to see confimation to my hypothesis that all the melee calling for sorc nerfs are the mouthbreathers that use force leap/charge as their opener in 100% of scenarios.
If you see a sorc at ~75-120k Damage and ~150k-300k Healing... they're 21 deep into healing.
If you see a sorc at ~300k damage and ~100k healing, they are DPS hybrid with ZERO in healing, and their ONLY HEALING COMES FROM BUBBLING THEMSELVES ALL GAME.
All the 31/31/31 nerf cries piss me off.
Resolve is a great new take on the old "diminishing returns" system of crowd control immunity.
I don't think it needs to be altered at all. Then again, I and the friends I PvP with know how to make it work FOR you instead of against you...
Like saving Shroud and Sprint as an assassin for full resolve. Unstunnable, Unsnarable, assassin for 5 seconds, and unstunable for about another 10. Lol firepits.
You're wrong. Bubble scales with healing power only. Not health.
From Torhead.com - At level 50, Static Barrier absorbs 1162 + 327% of Force Healing Bonus before talents.
Also, your calculations putting light armor + bubble = Medium armor = heavy armor are wrong.
A sorc in full PvP gear barely tops 16k HP. A jugg in PvP gear is commonly sporting over 23k. It's a simple fact you quite conveniently forgot to mention. Redo your time to live calculations accordingly.
Are you serious?
If a non-healing specced sorc tries to chain heal... they will KILL their force pool. They have TWO heals... a big 2.5 second slow one, and a fast 1.5 second small one.
Yes, force is a restriction. I go dry on my full heals sorc all the time, but only when the other team lets me chaincast heals.
I die in 6 seconds when I get focused. Just like any other sorc.
This isn't WoW. You can't run through your enemy right before his cast finishes to abuse the ~200-250ms lag between your system, the client, and his system.
Sorry melee, your WoW crutch is gone.
Alderaan is about getting one team to overcommit to one node and having people that know how to crowd control.
Oh, and your team has to know how to shift instantly.
Good luck in a PuG
I have all champ/centurion save 2 Hardmode Flashpoint pieces.
I go down to two DPS in about 7 seconds.
Interrupt, Interrupt, Stun, dead.
I've said it once in this thread before....
Get good, son.
Signed, sorc heals.
