  1. I've read the patch notes and read some threads about this on here, but I'm still confused: What happens to all our old commendations when 2.0 is released? 1. Daily comms 2. BH comms 3. WZ and RWZ comms 4. Columi, Tionese 5. Fleet comms 6. Various planatary comms (i.e. Hutta, Tython etc.) I got a ton of them and wonder if I should use them now or save them for 2.0. Feedback would be greatly appreciated
  2. I guess you enjoy being treated unfairly. Masochist or just spineless? Faster maybe, but not that fast. Besides, they can keep their Tionese with the set bonus and any of the augmentations they put on it and just put better mods in, voila Columi, voila Rakata, voila Campaign, voila Dread gear! I dont do much pve other than dailies, but I got about 50M and I'm not even close to being rich. At 1.5M for a hilt/barrel, 1M for an armoring, 500K for mods/enhancements I could gear a toon in endgame pve stuff anytime. So could many others. I say either make PVEers do the work or give us PVPers the same option! HM ops is like ranked wzs, you got full control over your team and that's how it should be. My beef is with Groupfinder! Random guys can kick other guys for whatever reason they feel like: Don't like the name - kick Don't like the gear - kick Don't like the guild - kick Don't like the way you said hello - kick But in normal warzones, we are stuck with 0 expertise crafters that make us lose yet another warzone. Can't kick nobody even for good reasons. Yeah you are prolly right but I still needed to get this off my chest!
  3. 1. PVPers have to trade in the shells of the lower gear to get the higher one, while PVEers never have to do that, they can keep everything. 2. PVPers get blue, non-moddable starter gear (recruit), while PVEers get fully moddable starter gear (tionese), even with a set bonus too. 3. PVPers can't buy any expertise armoring, mod, enhancement for credits, while PVEers can buy all top tier armoring, mod, enhancements and everything else straight from the GTN. Theoretically, PVEers don't have to do a single ops to be endgame geared, while PVPers have to play tons of warzones to get there. 4. PVEers can kick anyone from groupfinder fps/ops for whatever they feel like, while PVPers are stuck in warzones with people who have no expertise gear and do nothing but stand idle at a node to RE stuff for crafting. Is nobody else disturbed by this unequal treatment? At least I think all of it is grossly unfair to the PVPers! Speak up if you feel the same!
  4. You are right about everything, but it's not going to happen: 1. The PVE crafters would complain that they would have to wear PVP gear when farming for stabilizers. 2. Pugs will NOT wise up, like ever - especially not on Imp-side (it's a little better Pub-side, but not much)
  5. This problem will only get worse when 1.3 is released and many, many players return to check it out. Good job, Bloware!
  6. Do you really expect people to take a video while seriously pvp'ing? Seems to me, you just found a nifty little way to discredit all other opinions but your own. While I report all bugs to Bioware, I don't make videos of my game play - I'm just not that self-centered and I do enjoy my privacy. But ok, you show me a working, virus-free recording utility that does not affect my computer performance while in pvp and I will give you a video of the resolve bug I have encountered several times now, always involving force choke or the Jedi equivalent. Of course, once I post the video, I fully expect to be flamed by the likes of you as being "fake". Nothing worse then to be proven wrong, I understand.
  7. With the system that most pve/pvp games use, you cannot balance it and in that you are correct. But if NPC's were not dumb, predictable hit-point bags, and instead behaved more like players, you would not need to handicap gear or abilities for either pvp or pve. So, artificial intelligence (something I've been waiting for a decade now) is the answer to the problem. However, except for chess engines, almost no game developer uses AI. Reason being, of course, cost of development: Why make a costly innovation when you can just add things like expertise to some gear or add a gazillion hitpoints to a hardmode boss?
  8. Thanks, I'll try that - but I still don't get it. I'm always green when I'm flagged for pvp (either automatically from Ilum or when I do it myself). Except for those two guys, I've never seen yellow before - weird.
  9. I've seen 2 people on Ilum with yellow name tags, one Pub and one Imp. These were most definitely players, not NPCs (NPC's don't have guilds and don't ride around on speeders). I've been asking around on my server and nobody seems to know for certain: It was suggested that it is a glitch, an exploit, a new neutral faction (how the heck can you be neutral?) or some Bioware employees on test runs. Does anybody know for sure what the yellow name tag means? (and can you gank someone with a yellow tag)
  10. Resolve is buggy! I get stunned, my resolve bar is full, I hit the cc breaker, I run 3 steps, I get force-choked and while I dangle in the air unable to do anything, I can watch my resolve bar tick away. Happened at least 4 times so far. Broken. Period.

    MVP Revamp Pls

On my server (with a pretty active pvp crowd) only 2 people get all the MVP votes (in 50 pvp): 1. Top DPS 2. Top Healer Any other votes given out are pre-mades voting for each other - the buddy system. Nobody checks if the top dps actually helped the team at all, or was just farming some fresh 50 over and over. Nobody checks if the healer was actually healing the ball carrier or just spamming random heals to get his medals. And nobody gets a vote for playing smart, nobody gets a vote for having the highest objective. So, if you are not top healer or top dps, don't expect to get vote - like ever! I don't know how it is on other servers, but I have stopped voting MVP on mine a long time ago.
  12. "Ignore" is used AFTER the harrassment has already happened, unless you want to ignore everyone before they ever say anything at all. Hence, the offender gets at least one insult as a freebie. Moreoever, ignore is terrible for warzones with an objective because it severs team communication. Why do you think pre-mades on vent perform so much better than solo-queuers? It's the ability to communicate, of course! Oh, as any good troll knows, the profanity filter can be bypassed easily with creative spelling, numbers, spaces, symbols, etc. (*as an example, check the last line of my post) No, I can't ignore Bill. But if Bill behaves improperly, I have many real-life options available to me, ranging from lawsuits to smashing in his face. There are consequences for real-life trolls that online trolls never have to worry about. Bottemline: unless it's imperative for the warzone objective, I always *S T F U and just play the game.
  13. People who scream the loudest that there are no hackers are probably the ones doing it. Yes, there are cheaters, in pvp and pve, and that's a fact. I have witnessed and reported several, both on my own teams and on opposing teams. Google and Youtube are full of "how to cheat" tips. It wouldn't be so numerous if there weren't also plenty of people using that kind of information. But as the game ages, the player base becomes more aware of hacks and exploits. Hence you won't find, for example, the hackers zipping through huttball at 100% increase anymore. Instead, you find them in Alderaan or Voidstar wz, running just 10% faster. This still gives them a considerable edge with control points and doors, but doesn't raise as many suspicions. If you haven't seen a cheater, you probably aren't paying attention or are fortunate to be on a relatively clean server.
  14. Many times I have remained "in combat" even after I died - it can last long enough for me to leave the respawn area and run (very slowly) back to the battle before it clears. Buggy stuff, I hope they fix it someday.
