  1. I wont guess the number but I can tell you that they know how many WZ's a week you and I play. So if say, 80% of the players are playing 42 matches a week ,the F2P will be ~30, if we are playing 35 it will be 20. The goal is to maximize new players and minimize the loss. All of us who are happy (me) and willing to pay have a point where we would switch to F2P. My guess is that it will be something whereby you can complete your daily. I also think it will be a per character amount. So maybe 30 per character and 60 total.
  2. Horrible ability and I did not bind it. I use it when I am by the door in VS preventing plants & defuses. Apart from that it's only use is in fleet to use mid motion as your running, it looks pretty cool.
  3. Its actually the best spec below 30 in the game. After level 24 you have almost all your core abilities besides the 30% health execute hit. From the skill tree the only core thing you are missing is low slash which is a fourth tier ability. You essentially gets stronger as you go but the core of the AC comes early. Compare that to a class like sentinel that doesn't get its stealth till 30 and it's invulnerable thing until even later.
  4. Whaaaaat? I am sseeing quitting as bad means I see black & white. There have been 652 reasons you quitters give to quit, rather than looking at each one, I am explaining to you that overall, if everyone who quits for their own reasons is accepted we have an epidemic. The point is to grow up. To realize that just as you have a gripe with one of the hundreds of quitters excuses given above, there are thousands of other excuses to quit. If everyone quit it would ruin PvP. Hence, I suggest putting all the quitters together so they would realize this. I doubt I will have a heart attack over a game. My attitude is best describer as "sad amazement" that this point is made over and over and all quitters do is respond with why they quit. They are incapable of seeing the big picture of why quitting is bad for a game. If you look above you will see one quitter who actually took a screen shot b4 a match of something to justify his quitting b4 the match started. Do you realize how crazy that is, these cant wait to quit tuff matches to get the free ride ones. It's like they quit when fighting against premades in the hopes of queuing with a premade.
  5. If some DC's that is not quitting, what are you talking about? You are a quitter like the other quitters, I get that you all have a varity of 652 justifiable reasons why you quit, that is my point. You should play with eachother and all ruin PvP for eachother because of these valid reasons. People will quit the game because we are forcing them to play with quitters. I hear you and can relate, punishing quitters by making them play with quitters is too harsh? I agree, playing with quitters is really not fun and too harsh a punishment and.....hey wait a minute, i just thought of something. Thank you for the gear check reason, but i think it was in my original list of the 52 various reasons quitters quit. This is the quitter rationale that supports my idea. The delusion will stop quickly. The quitter never takes into account that random queues also give you low geared players on the opposition just as often as on your team. I will add that people should respond to ops leader prematch with "yes sir" or the ops leader will quit. I will need to see the picture a little more to understand what you are talking about, why you were mad at your team and took that pic b4 the match started and they did nothing wrong is beyond me. Only having fun winning is on my original list of reasons quitters give. Very interesting that you blame me for people quitting w/o needing to see me play. Its almost as if it is the natural first reaction of the quitter to blame others. Remember whn you quit because 1 guy didnt call incoming, there are 6 other guys you are screwing over, I am one of those 6. I can deal with the guy who screwed up, the guy who screwed us over and intentionally quit is tuff to deal with. They have to do this. The quitter needs to see himself as a good person and in the right. He can not deal with how rude he is. That's why he always says (ridiculous) that It is ALL 7 teammates who are bad. Otherwise he would be dicking over the good guys in group. They can determine within 30 seconds what all 7 of their teammates have done to deserve being quit on. The quitter also never mentions the poor guy filling his spot, even the quitter has trouble rationalizing how it's ok to screw over a guy they never saw play.
  6. Directly above this post you will see a difference of opinion in regards to strategy. If these guys are quitters (I am not saying they are) they will each have a "justifiable" reason to quit because they were playing with the other guy.
  7. No offense but you are a quitter. So you do not see the other quitters. They are not the best geared and certainly not the best players. There are good players who quit but there are just as many if not more bad players who quit I am not trying to be cute or funny just honest. None of the elite players on my server quit, ever. Every server has players that are known as elite. Granted, they win a lot. But when they solo queue and (I admit it is rare but) when they lose they never quit. I notice it mostly with the DPS and objective numbers, sometimes it's amazing how well they do when they play on horrible teams. Usually, the loss results from playing premades and having (2 or 3 recruit)newer players on your team. But the elite players not only do not quit but they generally look forward to playing the premades again and will even ask you to group with them in the hopes of matching up against the premade again. It is so much fun playing with them even when you are up against better teams. If they have someone on their team, run the wrong way in huttball, after the match they will laugh about it.
  8. That is a valid reason to quit. So are the 55 other reasons you quitters mentioned. This is why you are all going to all queue together in this proposal.
  9. You realize that you think forcing quitters to play with quitters is a punishment. And it is such a harsh punishment that you think it will cause people to leave the game. Do you see the irony? You are strengthening the point that playing with quitters is horrible. I don't think so. I think this is just true in the delusional quitters mind. In reality, every time the quitter loses he does something called "projection" whereby he places the blame on one of the factors you mentioned. That is the point of the solution. The quitter will quickly awake to reality. To see if you suffer from quitter dysfunction, just ask yourself, when you suffer a quick cap is your first reaction A- How to recover and cap right back or hold/defend the next door B- Look around for someone to blame C- Look around for someone to blame then quit (Only A is the right answer)
  10. ?????????????? He is talking about quitting matches. Not DC'ing, not if your baby is drowning and not if you happen to have an unforseen real life incident. Stop trying to catch people on semantics to justify quitting.
  11. Before a quitter responds., "You are the problem that is why people quit." I cant stand when there are quitters on the opposition either. It ruins victories. No, I am not the problem. That is quitter, "blame your teammate" mentality. I do lose sometimes. I do not have a 100% win percentage precisely because I do not quit. Normal people lose, it's part of playing PvP. When I win I see quitters on the other team and when I lose there are quitters on my team. The quitter is the problem.
  12. I think I found a solution to the quitter epidemic and it is not a ban. Not 5 minutes not 15 minutes or an hour. It is such a perfect solution it may be described as poetic. The best part is, the delusional quitters will be in favor of it and welcome it. The solution: The game should keep track of quitters behind the scenes. Every time you quit a losing match or match that has not yet started you get a point (shhh it's really a bad point) and every time you quit a winning match you lose a point. (The latter is just to prevent the DC'er from being lumped in with quitters.) This quitter point number is not displayed. If you play X number of matches without quitting you also remove a point. This is to allow reform to those who see the error of their ways. Once this metric is in-game for enough time to get solid numbers the solution begins. You put them in their own queue & force them to play only with other quitters. All of them. The one who quits because his team is bads The one who quits vs overgeared opposition The one who quits vs premades The one who quits when people don't go after objectives The one who quits because someone didn't call "incoming" The one who quits because someone on his team had no expertise The quitters who quit because huttball is forceball The quitters who quit NC because it is a bad game The quitters who quit VS because it is zergstar The quitters who quit Civil War because is is a bad game The quitter who quits because he PAYS to have fun and losing with noobs isnt fun The quitter who quits because fail Bioware doesn't allow you pick your WZ The quitter who quits because it's inefficient to lose when you can quit and get a good team The one who usually sticks it out except when...... The one who quits because his guildies logged in The one who quit because the group finder popped The one who quits vs a team of too many Sent/Marauder The one who quits vs a team of too many Pyro/Vanguards etc Once you lump them all together, PvP for the quitter, who has his "valid" reasons, will quickly become unplayable. Soon the quitter will get mad at other quitters. They will argue about what is a justifiable reason to quit. They will all have their own delusional reason and not respect other reasons. Slowly it will sink in that if everyone quit for their own "justifiable" reason there would be no PvP. They will realize that they have been leaching off of the non-quitter all this time. They will realize that a random queue is a random queue and sometimes you get a bad deal. They will become decent players as they learn to play against better teams. They will have the rare comeback victory that is worth 10 regular victories. They may start sticking it out and join the normal population of players once their quitter score is lowered. They will become decent members of the community
  13. There is a small percentage of low character people who can not deal with losing. They blame their team in a random queue and quit. They are primarily delusional and by quitting losing matches they reenforce the delusion that they are good players and decent human beings. (Even though every time they quit the cause a person who did nothing to them to take their spot) However, those "people" are the people on these forums. They are the ones complaining about OP classes and why their class is UP and why Bioware is fail. Essentially they are babies. Look at the responses in this thread. Every time normal human beings complain about the selfish act of rage quitting (i know i know, your teammates ignore objectives, they deserve it, you pay to have fun etc) the quitters overrun the thread with a defense of this poor sportsmanship. So there is no reason to ask for support here. It's like going to Republican party to raise money for a Democrat. All you get is a peek inside the corrupted mind of the quitter, but there are plenty of threads you can get that with. I understand your frustration but the quitter is a cancer to PvP and you would have more success rationalizing to a thunderstorm about the damage it causes and asking to stop the rain. The sad thing is that if 10% of the population is low character, it means that almost EVERY WZ the losing team will have a quitter. That means if you go up early you get an unfair advantage and if you go down early you are crippled by them. When you win you look and see the other team had 14 players (6 babies) and it ruins the win. You lose and see your quitters and it confirms that they are a cancer that prevent comebacks.

Do you seriously not get the sarcasm in that thread and the "Pro-quitter" thread?

So quit and make the next guy play with them, Maybe, maybe maybe, joining a random queue means sometimes you get bad teams and sometimes you get good ones. Sometimes you will win and sometimes you will lose. Some times you play with fun people and sometimes jerks. Maybe "random" doesn't mean I get the players I want. You may even get someone (heaven forbid) who is PvPing for the first time. Quitters are quitters

So you quit because of that one guy? Nice, I am sure the ither six teammates and the guy filling in for you appreciates that.

Dear quitter, You all say it's obvious in the first minute or 30 seconds that team work is not there. I say the only thing obvious is that you went down early. Which of us is right? Let's think about it, within 30 seconds of a match you have played, (your perfect game) you noticed that your seven teammates are all in the wrong place or doing the wrong thing. This is in 30-60 seconds. L O L. If that was true you are a god of PvP, sometimes those purple dots don't tell me everything, especually when I can't see the opponents that are not in my screen. The only thing quitters notice is they are losing. If you would stick around you would realize sometimes it takes a few minutes to get your group straight or realize who needs to be stopped on the other team. Love Normal non-quitter

    Leaving Mid-Match

Let me explain this to you from a non-quitter normal person perspective. I have played many matches. I have won 6-0 hundreds of times, I have run through a Voidstar like no one was there hundreds of times, I have also lost 6-0 and been walked through in Voidstar. What I realize is that sometimes the opposition is better then my random team and sometimes I am on a better team then their random team. Even if I have 10,000 more objective points then my teammates or score all 6 goals I do not take all the credit and I do not give them all the blame. I deal with losing. It is only in your mind that you are carrying under geared players. When a quitter sees a quick cap he blames his teammates. When a normal person sees a quick cap he works on setting up at the next door or scorring. If the other team is better I will try to compete. If that means holding them to a 5-0 win, so be it.

yea yea we know, everyone on your team is bad and not trying so you quit on all seven of them and make some guy fill your spot, classy. Quitter Dealing with losing is too much too ask Translation - I don't think losing should be a part of PvP The #1 reason is actually because you do not like losing and don't care about who gets stuck with your spot Is it possible the other team is better? Amazing awareness that you can tell your 7 teammates are not playing correctly, you are my hero. Are you sure that is what you notice or you just notice that you are losing early. All you quitters are the same. The mentality of the quitter is delusional. A normal person goes down early in a match and seeks to play better or meet the challenge of playing against a better team. The quitter blames his teammates and leaves.
  20. I rarely play Civil War matches where the the points do not turn over, less then NC but they turn over. Voidstar critique is a little simplistic, the same composition can win or lose depending on who is playing, although (like most WZ maps) composition is very important. Hutball is extremely team oriented but you can get by with some bad players, passing is the best ability and usually requires two. Pulls, passing and leap work best with two. NC seems like a huge zergfest to me. Usually the fight starts out at South and zergfest wins and then you just go where the other team goes to protect. Or if you are behind you go to least protected. It's just follow the crowd and the map is so small you can easily recover from being late.
  21. I know everyone has their favorite war zones. I understand why people love and hate different maps. I am am sure if this thread gets responses that many will be "Forceball" and "Zergstar." The only map I just do not get is Novare Coast. The only positive I have heard is the scoring system makes it the easiest one to come back in which I assume is b/c captures are more common. The reason why I do not like it is because it is the exact same concept as Civil War with a few minor tweeks. The time to get between points is faster and if you have more people the caps are quicker. I think that makes it more mindless. 9 out of 10 people will play every situation the exact same way. The thing with this zone is that I feel like you have the least amount of individual great plays. In the other two maps with objective points you can do a lot of intercepting, sneak attacks and intelligent solo defending. The only thing like that in NC is taking a solo defended bunker. Even Voidstar that critics say is a zergfest has strategy in picking which side to g0 to and protecting a plant or sneaking in a plant. I don't only mean stealth plants, I have many plants on GS in the in midst of Flyby and other chaos. I hope if they make new war zones they come up with something that does not involve capturing/planting objectives. Maybe an escort mission or something that somehow separates the team into smaller teams, I don't know. What I do know is that Novare Coast is essentially Civil War with minor tweaks. Also, many people ask to pick which WZ they queue for. This is a bad idea unless we have cross server queues. Different classes do better in different zones and Hutball or Voidstar teams will happen. The queue times will be premerger length. I think the game developers prefer some community as opposed to cross server queues. But, what they could do is give players the option to block one War Zone, so if you hate hutball you get a random of the remaining three.
  22. This is bad design. People are stuck in group finder for 1/2 hour, so they join WZ's and then if it pops they quit mid match. Bad people and bad design.
  23. I think GW2 will be the best thing to happen to SWToR. That game looks horrible, I think the shine will last under three weeks.
  24. The class the marauder should be compared to is the infiltration/balance shadow. It is too hard to compare it to a range dps or Aoe dps or tank. The funny thing is, the marauder actually even has stealth on a lower cool down than the shadow. It is a shorter duration though. I don't know if they have the issue with needing to burn cleanse and forcespeed to make it effective though. Essentially when they balance classes they have a spreadsheet and assign abilities values and main abilities (Dps) get scored values. Each class gets abilities that have values and in the end the total score of all the classes should be equal. They will never show you this spreadsheet but that is how it works. I am not a marauder expert, mine is mid twenties, but I do know the issues with stealth make the marauder stealth better than the shadow and that is ridiculous. Examples: (not marauder, just abilities in general) 5 Burst Dps 8 Sustained Dps 2 Stun 2 Immobolize 2 Defensive 3 Knockback 2 Speed 3 Leap The reason I mention this is because people forget that marauders lack some abilities most have. My point is that to do a comparison you have to compare everything not just mention two great abilities the marauder has. Then you have to take into consideration the maps. For example I think the sniper is the most valuable class in voidstar. The best gap closer is not needing to close a gap because you are ranged. And preventing a defuse or plant as a sniper is cake.
  25. I have done 35K-65k damage in huttball and finished with over 10K more objective points then the next guy and recieved 0 MVP votes. If it was hutball the OP is the one to L2P.
