  1. The OP makes no sense. He is saying there is a huge gear disparity. So what, it lasts a week. Who cares. If people enjoy recruit as you say for the challenge so what, I can remove my chest. This is nonsense.
  2. You have a condition known as being a respectable and non-selfish person. Most people have some semblance of compassion for the person who will be forced to take his spot. The quitter has no such feeling. He is only concerned with himself. The OP gave one other player in his group credit for knowing how to play. Were there others? The quitter doesnt care about them, he quits so he can get a game he wants. "I pay so I get what I want, it's not a job" is a common quitter term to justify screwing others over. Oh, and people like me, who call quitters out on the forums, for quitting. Well, we have to be bad in their delusions otherwise they would have to listen to what we say and respond. Instead, they call respectable people "bads" or ragers etc etc Meanwhile all we want is for quitting to stop when we go up 1-0 or down 1-0.
  3. This is a typical quitter post. Dear quitter, When you get stuck in a bad group you finish it. Why? Are you unaware that someone else will take your spot? Quitters are by definition selfish and don't care. 2ndly - Everyone has a subjective opinion of when a group is bad. If everyone quit when they thought the group was bad then PVP would have quitters every single match. The most important factor would not be gear, skill or strategy, it would be who has more quitters. Lastly, don't use right and left in Voidstar, if you turn around right becomes left. Learn to use a map. My guess is this guy quits most of his losing matches and posted this because he finally was in a group that he thinks justifies it. Is it possible that your team was outgeared and outskilled and they didnt come over because they were losing on the other side? Quitters dont care, they just see whats in front of them. Quitters are all the same.
  4. What are you talking about? No one should be in Recruit gear. If you PvP you should start out when dinging 50 with a few pieces of BM and 3500 in Ranked in the bank. It's one freaking week to get mostly BM'ed up and some WH. Why do people always complain about one week where you are outmatched. You are much more severely outmatched the entire time you are 10-40.
  5. You make perfect sense but they have to weigh that against the queue times. If the people queuing for ranked is light because of difficulty in getting 8 man teams they will be forced to allow it.
  6. I will answer this, They will never do this. They do not want huttball to be all knights & warriors, they do not want VS to be all PT's. People would gravitate towards the WZ's that their classes have an advantage in and ruin every WZ.
  7. Why would you be against solo Q for ranked because it is not competitive but be in favor of 8-man non-ranked which is likewise non-competitive? What Bioware is doing makes perfect sense because you choose to go up against premades in Ranked whereas non-ranked should be more casual friendly. So if you want to try the advanced bracket solo (and I would) you are free to get stomped. Additionally, solo queuing for ranked without their own bracket will work. A premade of 6 can now join ranked and be put with a few solo players. Obviously you could get a team of 8 solos but i don't think that is the goal.
  8. These quitters are amazing. They pay so they have a right to ruin the game for others. Cry about getting stunned and then quit? I wonder if these quitters ever get 17 friends together for a baseball game and then leave after the first inning and screw them all over? Why not, they are not slaves to the other players. Quitters, hate playing with them hate playing against them. Give them their own Queue. Not really, Quitting is a character flaw. If the F2P is a quitter he will quit regardless. If a quitter has F2P in his group it's just a new excuse to quit. Quitter tip - Quitters always inspect their teammates when entering a match so they have an excuse ready if the team goes down early. They are always ready to get those defensive medals at the first sign of trouble. It's what being a proud coward is all about. LOL "Why feed them medals" Quitter Fascinating, I will start quitting if my team goes down 1-0 in huttball or 2-1 turrets in CW. What you said is quitter mentality and if everyone had it there would be no pvp. The quitter feeds off of regular players so that he can have pvp. Without normal players every match would end within 2 minutes and PvP would end.
  9. Because you think forcing quitters to play with quitters is too harsh? Yet you have no problem with quitting? So in essence you feel it's ok to quit on others but not ok for others to quit on you?
  10. As many of you know we have a twofold problem with quitters. They are cowardly, and if in a losing match, they will blame their team or Bioware, and then sit on defensive medals If they see their team is losing, they will blame their team or Bioware, and click [Leave Warzone] rather then try A great solution to the quitter epidemic can be found here that is not a penalty. However, at this point it's clear there is no penalty or solution coming. So I ask you. When new players come into the game via the F2P model, they will, for the most part, be new to SWToR. New players, except for quitters in their delusional minds, are generally undergeared and new to PvP. This will be a lot for the quitter to deal with. It will be especially hard for the quitter because he is just as likely to get a team of F2P opponents to walk over if he quits his current match and re-enters the queue. (The quitter isn't in it for competition, he loves playing against teams of undergeared people because it enforces his delusions) This will lead to the quitters walking out on F2P players constantly. Being that the F2P player has no real investment in the game, I think PvP will be a constant stream of people walking out on him or sitting on defensive medals. This will be a terrible first impression and they will not stick around. Many quitters will respond with the "l2p" "Call out incs" "No one listens" "Play for objectives" "I pay to have fun," so bear with me in discussing this issue.   11. People are selfish. Did it ever occur to you that you could be in an important situation in a match and leaving surrenders a turret or a plant? Truth be told you could care less. This is why I think people should join WZ's and then drop when the FP starts in order to show them how annoying it is. Stop being selfish, its not a punishment to stop you from ruining PvP matches for other people.
  12. No that is not the bottom. The bottom line is that if you are not having fun you will ruin your teammates fun and take competition away from the eight opponents. (psst the 15 of them pay $15 too) It's amazing reading the responses from people just saying "my teammates stink so I quit" Like this is news. Like if you are on a bad team in random queue you should quit. The quitters are generally delusional. This stems from quitting losing matches. They then get high win percentages which enforces this delusion. So if they are losing they just scream "no one came when I called inc" and quit. Even though they called inc too late. No good players quit. Elite players always stay for the challenge. We know this because we see the lowns who quit, they generally are oblivious to anything except themselves. They generally do not realize that there are higher intelligence stategies then only what is in their minds. They don't realize that sometimes, as an example, we will go to the other turret to draw and incoming call to make it easier on the other turret. Quitters are low level players.

PvP has major issues with people who can't handle losing quitting, now we have people who leave when a group finder pops.   16. No, I want to have something to strive for. I finished WH x 2 and stopped playing my main because I enjoy incentives in MMO's. A score is a great way to do this. Yes, you can whine if you play a premade but overall if you solo queue it should average out.
  17. He may have a small sample but the OP is absolutely right. I have a ton of PvP experience in both. There is no comparison. Just as an example, in huttball, the ball will sit at mid with no one picking it up, in 10-49 ,all the time. This never happens in 50. I assume PvE people are more likely to join in the JV rather than the varsity.

    Horrible idea. 1) Population cant support it 2) Each class would only play what they do best in The complaints would be endless. Typical complainer playerbase request. No offense meant to OP, he just wants to have fun which is fine, but you have to look at consequences. This is a case of the developers knowing what they are doing and the players being wrong. Blocking one warzone is a better option. (I hate NC, you hate Huttball etc)
  19. I feel like you should only be charged once. Or when you upgrade. However when I am trying to have fun with the look of my character I dont think it should cost 120K to change clothes when my character stats stays the same. That being said, the only solution would be to have an additional slot on gear that is the appearance slot. Mod Armoring Enhancement Augment Appearance Then I could change my look as much as I want but will pay for upgrades.
  20. The leap has a silly cool down as does force cloak. So if you made it on a rafter you would have 8 on you instantly. But that is definitely the weakness of the class. I miss my stuns and knockback on that class. I think the pass range is 30M and if i recall, so is leap. So you can ont really get ahead of them. In fact, you hurt your team because the one guy who gets a head will be alone vs all of them. They are hard to play against.
  21. I don't even talk down to quitters and they are 10 times worse then "stupid" or "bad" players. The screaming does nothing except get rage out for people with issues. Coming on the forums and admitting it or being proud of it is even more troubling.
  22. The thing is "DPS = Squishy" is true. Ranged DPS are squishy and have ranged as a defense. The infiltration has stealth which is on a 3 minute cooldown. Compare that to the sentinel (other melee dps) 30 second stealth cooldown and 99% invulnerable. They both have other small defense. Infiltration also has excellent utility.
  23. There are two aspects to stealth: The in-combat ability: A defensive ability so that your opponent loses you. Most opponents will not wait 4 seconds for you to reappear but will focus someone else. The outside combat ability: The ability hinges on permanent stealth. This the ability to attack and defend points in stealth. This is the ability to move to a bunker in NC without an incoming call, to get to the endzone in huttball, the quick way past mid in CW and to a side in VS. The sentinel clearly has a great a incombat defensive ability whereas the operative and assassin have true stealth. They both get small amounts of the other as well. However, a three minute cool down for the assassin in a warzone, that typically lasts 12 minutes, is not comparable in combat to what the sentinel has. Everyone is entitled to an opinion of what they think should be reduced or increased but keep the two aspects in mind.
  24. The player base is not large enough to support this. Not to mention it would ruin PvP as Huttball would be filled with Knight/Warriors and NC would be filled with Range, etc. People need to grow up, I hate NC but I play it.
  25. Oh, your whole team is bad that is why you quit. I am o sorry I didn't realize this. This whole time I could not understand it and now I get it. The quitter is playing with bads and that is unfair so he quits. Got it. Quitter = Elite
