  1. Maybe these people are REALLY bad players and do???? :o
  2. Haha, more like "wanna-be day traders" . Well said. People forget the scale of the MMO market historically in the face of the anomaly that is/was WOW.
  3. That sort of change at that level would be a relatively generic churn rate + new subs, or a negligible change on that scale. Wow, sore subject for you, eh?
  4. Well said. I agree with this completely, and... I can't stop laughing when people ambush me while PVP-flagged (I play on a PVE server since I like to choose when to be in danger) get owned, then combat-stealth away to try to escape. Overall however I loved that it was getting people to (purposefully) flag for PVP with so many areas imps/repubs were crossing paths... I got some great spontaneous fights in and had fun with it.
  5. SWTOR does not like SLI, unfortunately. I have to disable it with my GTX 680 2-way SLI or it causes the kinds of issues you describe. Works flawlessly for every other title I own (of which I have many), but not TOR .
  6. Uh, hate to break it to you, but virtually any modern motherboard has an SATA2 port to run an SSD at most of its capable speed.
  7. Nope. My SSD loads the game as fast as ever between any zones , 5-10 seconds at most. With good SSD's running under $1/gb nowadays on deals, there's no reason not to have one.

    Stop premades vs pugs

Nah, they don't have full War Hero armor + augments yet likely, sir. You're just unable to tell what they're wearing, clearly. Regardless, pre-formed/premade groups have no special magical powers, they are just more skilled players using good communication. Learn to do the same.
  9. Sounds like someone stacked all glass-cannon offense and no endurance, then...
  10. Don't quote me on this, but I'm 99.99% sure I saw this exact item in augmented form on the GTN today.
  11. They aren't OP... I've played one since early beta (July 2010). They're no stronger than they've ever been, in 1.2 retail... people just got the bandwagon going of "NERF THIS" like they did with sorcs/sages a few ago. *shrug*
  12. That would be pretty awesome... put up a bounty of killing X player Y time(s) and the game tracks who did what then disburses the currency you had put in up-front, after it's done. Nice way to get back at someone who ganked your lowbie while questing , and a fun little addition period. WTB "rvr"-style zones in the vein of DAOC as well.
  13. Yeah, fair enough... it just seems PUG people don't care much about losing now since the rewards are so good even for doing that .
  14. How far out is RVR-style content/zones, and is the team still committed to delivering them in the future?
  15. Now that's what I call backpedaling! That patch came out years after TOA did.
  16. DAOC, which I played from launch (Oct 2001) through 2008, was quite skill-based. RR past about 5 didn't make a huge difference... most of the time the issue was PEBKAC, and no, bringing a zerg did NOT help you against my static-running 8-man . It all boils down to an "L2P" issue, honestly, and that's being nice about it. In SWTOR you can form up a quick group prior to queueing and voila, you know you'll have X, Y, and Z in your warzone party. No problem. Cute, but RR12 wasn't in the game at the time period you're listing, and only a handful (literally) had hit RR11. Liar = caught. P.S. DAOC gave basically nothing for repeatedly failing .
  17. I would stomp them (and do) regardless, the issue here is why people think they should get gear/rewards for FAILING. What next, raid bosses that give tons of loot just for trying to attack them? /loot-pinata-lol
  18. I rarely lose as a blowout loss even when solo queueing... you shouldn't do so either. If you're losing so badly, why should you be getting huge gains for doing so anyway? What do you think, that getting the gear's going to magically make you not suck?
  19. Where's the reward for winning, now? You get 80-90 comms for a loss with proper medals, and 120-130 for a win... may as well not really care about the objectives again anymore ? I liked that 1.2 originally was making people TRY to play better because they got little reward otherwise. Back to no-skill headless-chicken circles now if I'm not in a preformed group at any given time.
  20. Wrong. Good healers still rock in 1.2. Bad healers still suck.
  21. Uh... what? I can't really understand this encoded text.
  22. Yep, of course they do. They blame anything and anyone but themselves for their losses, and can't fathom the thought that they might be at fault. They blame gear, rewards, lag, team counts, class balance, spec balance, ANYTHING they can possibly think of. It's amazing! You don't even need 3 medals now, just one... which you LITERALLY can get for sitting at a turret of your own team's and not even doing anything, within about a minute of jumping around like a rabbit. Really guys... come on. REALLY.
  23. This... really people, at least put SOME effort into your play. You're lucky you're getting *any* real reward for losing and barely doing anything. Gear is not the end-all-be-all once you have a certain level of it, anyway: your skill (or lack thereof) is. I think the rewards for a loss are acually TOO HIGH now.
