I think if you cannot see why lotro's implementation of in game shop is cheap and tacky then you would be more than happy in any F2P game. Personally when I play games I don't want to feel like I am in a star wars/lotro superstore. I want to feel I am playing against a world and not the business model. I prefer the business model to be hidden away as much as possible. I have a job which pays me a salary, not pocket money from my parents where I spend $5 on a sparkle pony. Yes I am the same when I go to a themepark. I buy the all day all access ticket because I like the freedom to go where I want to go without thinking of the cost. So if they did go the freemium model then I would like a way sot hat I could pay my subscription and the whole store thing be completely transparent to me so I would not even know it was there which could be done completely client side.

I think the game is great. When I am playing I have fun. These forums are the biggest negative impact on the game for me in fact I think they are the worst forums I have ever seen. I expect attempts to derail this thread and launch an attack on the game or the forum mods in 3...2...1...

Do you think they should hold of transfers until they can transfer a guild including guild bank all at once? I think this is a significant amount of additional work and testing. I think they should just automate and perfect the manual transfer process for one character they have now and release that. Once they have the basic then add guild transfers then server merges. To expect too much at once is just going to take longer

This DPS should focus on the weak mobs first they die in no time and the damage they give is nothing. This gives the tank plenty of time to pick up and tank the proper mobs. The only times I have a problem tanking is when A. DPS go for the hardest mob at the start which means I have to turn my attention to lots of spread out mobs to protect the healer at which point I generally lose agro and have to remind the DPS to kill weak mobs first. or B: DPS decides to pull at which point every mob in that gr4oup starts hitting him.. Ideally the healer will let that dps die but they normally throw the idiot DPS a heal and then wonder why mobs from all over the place and I end up running around trying to save the healer.

Yes.. that's right.. transfers have been running and up for months. Bioware just needs your tears to feed on. Once they have collected another tears they will open up transfers. GG this thread but still a million more tears to go. Lets get posting

They can make the game F2P if they want. I only play P2P games though. I'd rather play pen and paper then play a f2p MMORPG so ina few years I might be back full time to pen and paper. I tried LotRO what some call the best freemium model. It was OK but the constant adverts for the cash shop sucked and then as time went on I saw how they utlized the shop more and more to make profit and the expense of gameplay. Nothing wrong with a company making a profit but this just made the game like a giant LoTRO themed super market and I have seen what EA would do with a f2p shop

Missing critters and the wildlife needs to move more. An animal running/stalking, birds flying, day and night. These things help bring the land to life. The planets look beautiful but feel static. These features are not game breaking but I would like to see more love given to the planets I loved the rhakghoul event and it helped me appreciate tattooine.

there is no manic space bar pressing to get the datacrons. No more than typing. Someone who can type your post for example can certainly use a keyboard well enougth to get datacrons. If it is really that bad then ask for a friendly force pull.

I agree with you 100%. The QQ about the collectors edition store is exactly the same thing. People decide to have these unrealistic expectations and hype themselves up then blame everyone else because of it. What is amazing is the amount of people doing this over and over again. I am sure Einstein had something to say about doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different reults somewhere.

The datacrons on nar shada I think are the hardest jumping wise on those crates and pipes and that one in the town of tattoine. Did these fine on my setup but then my wife wanted them done so I get called to do it. I had problems jumping at the right time with her keyboard and mouse until I tried using the mouse to move forward and only using the keyboard to jump (normally I wold use w to move forward and jump at the right time).. also consider toggling on or off sprint. Try the jumps mounted on a vehicle. or use the MMO solution and remember you are not alone Make friends with a sorcerer who can jump and have him force pull you to him. TL:DR: try different methods of moving and jumping and if all else fails ask a friend to force pull you.

lol. Who am I to make an ultimatum to bioware. To try and extort goods/services from them by threatening to withold my sub when all they really want to do is to get me the stuff fully working as quickly as possible would just make me a moron. To even think that might work is laughable. Even if it did work then the rushed product would not be any good because it was rushed. So given the above IMO this is a very foolish thread. I'll stop subbing when I no longer enjoy the game and I no longer want to play it same as I did with WoW and I suggest you do the same.
