  1. Well for a start you get a level cap increase of 60; that brings you from what used to be endgame (55) to current endgame. On top of that there are currently two operations (the Ravagers and Temple of Sacrifice) in addition to an instanced worldboss on Ziost. Not to mention 6 hardmode 60 flashpoints (though HM Bloodhunt is still unpuggable), 3 tiers of gear (186, 192, 198) that lets you use those elite and ultimate commendations. 192 legacy companion gear through the Yavin IV weeklies which on it's own should be a big attraction. If you're into PvP you'll be in the top bracket again (~10-29, 30-59, 60) and you can buy the current PvP gear (and with the PvP changes in 3.3 will be easier to get). As for story content it concludes what Forged Alliances was building to, so a sense of completion is nice. Also 2 new worlds with dailies on both which is good. But it'll probably go free for subs like ROTHC did, so if you wanna wait that'll pay off eventually.
  2. I've noticed this sometimes happens after using an emote. The solution I use is to just log out of that character and then log back in. If that doesn't work, just restart the game.
  3. The BBA pistols can be mainhand or offhand (my merc has two), so it's a matter of putting the right barrel in. Regardless, pulling out the offhand barrel should set the pistol back to being either mainhand or offhand. Then put in a mainhand barrel and you'll be good to go.
  4. Did you have to necro a 3 year old thread?
  5. That's the Battlemaster Commando set. The head piece is a rare sight nowadays but it might turn up on the GTN. Aside from the helmet it's nearly identical in model to the KDY Reputation set or the Unbreakable Veteran's set (minus the helmet). For that particular colour your best bet is to get a dye that's closest and hope it dyes the item correctly.
  6. I have absolutely no idea how to make the two intertwine perfectly regarding the Voice. The JK story treats the Voice as a temporary host for the Emperor who just echoes his words, and the SW story makes the Voice more permanent (as long as it can last) and have actual power in the Empire. My theory is more "try and take two conflicting ideas and just ignoring one at an early point while trying to get them to work together at a later point". As I said, one writing team almost certainly didn't consider what the other writing team had established and so they have two contradicting ideas.
  7. This is probably a case of the JK/SW writing team not consider the other writing team and you get to pick which version you go with. My personal theory was always that when the SW kills the Voice on Voss, the Hand quickly gets him into a new Voice on Dromund Kaas, which promptly gets cut down by the JK.
  8. Which makes it all the more sad since the Jedi Knight story is so poorly written and doesn't hold up to it's mirror story (the Sith Warrior). Cliche does not always mean bad to me, but it often does because nine times out of ten it's not handled in an interesting way that I can look over that it's a cliche. The fact that you are the only one capable of stopping your enemies and that almost everyone worships the ground you tread as if you were the messiah is incredibly obnoxious. Not to mention the final fight with the demi-god of the game was a three minute button spam, at least the final fight of the SW story has two rounds. In addition the ending was completely and utterly unsatisfying, whereas in the SW story it ends the same regardless of alignment.
  9. I'd actually recommend the Sith Warrior story. The JK & SW are mirror classes of each other yet their stories are not. The Jedi Knight story is so full of cliche, hero worship, and bland writing. The Sith Warrior story, while it is also simplistic in it's approach, has well written villains, interesting companions (including one who's light or dark based on whether you are), and the ending is the same whether you play light or dark. Unlike the Knight story where it's presumably satisfying on light side but completely unsatisfying on dark side. Not to mention playing a goody two-shoes SW still makes sense in the context of the storyline, whereas the stupid evil JK causes the story to self-contradict. Did I mention the ending is the same regardless of alignment? If the Sith Warrior story doesn't take your fancy, I'd recommend the Smuggler & Bounty Hunter storylines. Seems nearly everyone recommends Agent, and while I really enjoy Acts 1 & 2, Act 3 takes a turn for complete stupid. The Smuggler & Bounty Hunter stories are very personal and enjoyable, and they have some of the best one-liners in the game in my opinion.
  10. You'll need to preview a weapon first, since the outfits don't have weapons (yet). Just click a weapon you want to preview, then preview the crystal.
  11. Actually that part of the armour isn't dyeable; only the kama (butt flap) and some armour highlights are. Thana Vesh chest piece with a red/black dye http://orig12.deviantart.net/ba39/f/2015/143/5/d/thanaredfront_by_viennachan-d8uf6zf.jpg http://orig00.deviantart.net/1ef1/f/2015/143/c/a/thanaredback_by_viennachan-d8uf6z9.jpg and with a white/orange dye http://orig00.deviantart.net/d92a/f/2015/143/7/9/thanawhitefront_by_viennachan-d8uf6zw.jpg http://orig06.deviantart.net/5f11/f/2015/143/4/0/thanawhiteback_by_viennachan-d8uf6zp.jpg . For something like the armour in the OP's image they'd need to do a retexture; and preferably one that's more dyeable.
  12. I actually saw a Columi implant drop during a run of SM EV for conquest a few months ago. I won the roll but ended up trashing it. I don't know what the odds are of it dropping again.
  13. This should answer your question.
  14. The level 7 equipment vendors sell a full set of moddable class restricted gear. Not to mention with the 12 comms per class mission, I had no trouble whatsoever keeping myself and most of my companions geared. The trick was I'd always swap out mod sets every 2 planets or so. Especially keeping your healer comp geared will be a giant boon. Still, most of the equipment vendors sell various modifiable parts of gear that are on level for the planet (note that most pre-55 belts & bracers are unmoddable): Mainhands - Dromund Kaas/Coruscant, Balmorra/Taris (Level 33), Voss Offhands - Nar Shaddaa, Belsavis, Corellia Head - Nar Shaddaa, Hoth, Voss Chest - Tattooine, Corellia Hand - Corellia, Voss Bracers - Quesh, Nar Shaddaa, Tattooine, Belt - Tattooine, Hoth, Balmorra/Taris (Level 33) Leg - Alderaan, Balmorra/Taris (Level 33) Feet - Alderaan, Voss
  15. Well there is the Temple Guardian set which is based on those guys in TCW, but looks barely like them. The items on the GTN do cost a ton of credits though so patience and getting credits will be key http://tor-fashion.com/temple-guardian/
  16. Her invasion of Ziost alone is an example of her stupidity. There is a situation on an Imperial metropolis where the Emperor is possessing basically everyone he can and is causing shenanigans. What's the best course of action? Oh well send in our troops to try and contain the situation who will probably just end up getting possessed and cause all sorts of war crimes in addition to whatever guilt they'd have later if they survive. That sounds like a brilliant idea. She's a massive warmonger who really needs to get expelled from every political office ever.
  17. I feel Ziost has overall three pros and three cons. Pros: 190 gear, original daily ideas (studying the extinction event vs fighting an enemy force), and interesting design choices. Cons: 190 gear is horribly optimized, no priority travel, no rep group. They didn't even have to give Ziost a unique reputation group - at the very least it could've just been for the GSI rep since they are the ones giving out the dailies. I like the originality of the dailies but without a rep group to grind or priority travel, it's not really that appealing for me to go there. I've only completed the weekly twice and if it was more convenient to get there or if there was some rep to grind I'd consider it much more worthwhile.
  18. Rise of the Hutt Cartel seems to be a few years after Corellia so I'd say it's somewhere around 13 or 14 ATC. Shadow of Revan doesn't seem to be more than a couple months after that so 14 or 15 ATC. Anyway I'd love lore updates every so often since I love stuff like that.
  19. Many of the TCR sets have been returned in CM form. Granted it's irritating to have to buy them (usually for exbortiant prices) off the GTN, but they are there. My suggestion is to watch the prices of the sets, save what you can and get them when you're able to. 20. Obsidian without question. Not only is KOTOR 2 more complex and better written than KOTOR 1 (even if they got screwed over by Lucasarts), but Obsidian has said they'd love to do a KOTOR 3. The atmosphere of KOTOR is much more eerie and more personal. The villains are pretty interesting and have fascinating motivations - Kreia wants to kill the Force since she views it as a manipulative force that throws people away like toys, Sion is wounded by the fact that Kreia has such a fascination with you and wants to make you like him, Nihilus is a personality-less force who has your ability and is completely corrupted by it, whereas Malak is your typical cliche villain who wants to destroy the world because screw you. Not to mention they did something rather interesting that KOTOR 1 didn't do - a simultaneous mission on Onderon/Dxun during the civil war. KOTOR 1 is a nice game but I very much prefer KOTOR 2's darker eerie take on the same setting.
  21. You can still buy the 140s to my knowledge. The vendor is still on Makeb, but no longer on the fleet.
  22. I don't know about that particular theme (which is actually the Old Republic theme on the KOTOR soundtrack) but someone did come up with a midi file for the theme that plays during the Revan encounter on the Foundry mixed with parts of the Emperor Arrives. Video of the song here Midi file here http://lochieo101.webs.com/midis
  23. Illum and Belsavis were the daily zones at launch, and weeklies came in later with Section X and Black Hole. So they weren't designed with weeklies in mind. It would be nice for them redesign the launch daily zones (or at least just Illum) so they drop 2 or 4 basic comms as well as a weekly.
  24. And when I thought the TOR forums couldn't get anymore toxic. I stay out of the class threads (for good reason) and good god what happened was ludicrous. I took a month long hiatus from the forums (which I ended a few weeks ago) and this is honestly making me consider resuming that. This whole situation is just nuts.
