  1. I have plenty of Legacy Gear from other chars I ran through early on, so it looks like I can just skip this and do the stories. Thanks for the help!
  2. I started a new char and just finished chapter 9 of KOTFE. When it was first released, we had to wait for chapter 10 and spent our time running heroics to get crates to raise the influence level of the "specialists" between chapter releases. Now that you can mow through the entire story, plus KOTET plus iokath ... is there any need to raise the specialists level? If so, how high and what does it buy you? ThX!!
  3. This is what I do ... YMMV Since you have another char, use them to get your MOD's and store it in your legacy vault. That way all you need to do is go to your stronghold, swap out MOD's and return where you were. I use Modded gear and the Outfit designer to change the look. Saves time. I switch MOD's every 8 levels. Using the End-Game rotation won't work very well because most MOB's will be dead before you can complete it. You can however use it as a guide. Just play with it ... with your companion as a healer you can't die. AOE is your friend. Spec for it and use it whenever possible. Speeds things up greatly. Without an experience boost, you can level just fine doing only the planet story and your personal story. That's about it. Not much to it. Just kill stuff and enjoy the story. Have fun!!
  4. While the Sage/Sor doesn't use the Lightsaber as an offensive weapon, they do use it defensively. Go find a MOB, attack it ... but don't kill it ... stop attacking and watch your Sage/Sor do some pretty good defensive moves with that Lightsaber.
  5. I've had Nagas and G600's but this mouse is the best I've ever had ... http://www.roccat.org/en-US/Products/Gaming-Mice/Nyth/ Smooth and tough enough not to get "Razor" stroke (that when they start to do their signature double clicking because the buttons are cheap). It also lets me adjust the mouse buttons to where I want them. Its a little costly but well worth it.
  6. Like the title says, I'm curious on how to level as deception. I'm sure that in story mode, i could just Voltaic Slash \Lacerate my way through the game but that would be boring as hell. There seems to be many abilities that require stealth and/or positioning which is almost impossible in solo mode. How does everyone else do it? Thanks in advance!
  7. The look I like is the full eradicator armor with the Chest and Helm from the Reaver set. No dye is needed. I like it best on Body Type 3
  8. I don't know what server you're on but on JC the starter zones are jam packed with players and the chats have players new to the game asking questions. I don't know what the purpose of your post was but it's accounting of the facts is in serious question.
  9. Class Story: Sith Warrior Character Story: Jaesa Williams This is what makes the Sith Warrior story stand out Character Voice Acting: Male Sith Inquisitor Between the "Of course my master" and the classic "It's your turn to die now" the voice almost has a serial killer tone to it dripping with pure malevolence Companion Voice Acting: Khem Val / Darth Zash The back and forth works very well. Character Dialog: Sith Inquisitor Better than the corny lines from the Sith Warrior and the lines from the Trooper which are a snooze fest. Companion Dialog: Vette No contest here Character Visuals: Sith Jug Vengeance All the acrobatics seem to align with the sound effects so that you can almost "feel" the hits. Companion Visuals: Kira Carsen Something about the way she swings that Saber-staff edges out Jaesa
  10. If BW wanted, they could bring them back as missions ... just like they did with Qyzen Fess who was a separate mission and not part of the main story. It's not too late ....
  11. I'm kind of lost when it comes to both classes and this expansion. If we do take the throne ... where to from here? I can only assume we don't actually take the throne and they will need to invent another story arc that doesn't include the emperor. Also, I do think the DS Sith probably does fit better since its all about conquering an empire ... but I will play both even though this expansion doesn't feel very alt friendly.
  12. Maybe a little of both? Looking back at KOTFE and now forward to KOTET, who do you think fits the story better? DS Sith or LS Jedi? In some ways, I would think the DS Sith would be considered more of an Empire Conqueror, though they might end up destroying that which they would conquer. A LS Jedi might not have the “killer instinct” you need to take down an empire but a LS Jedi might provide a more stable government in the long run. In seems to me that KOTFE was made more for the LS Jedi with the choices and outcomes you are given … but that’s just how I saw it. Who do you think fits the story better?
  13. First off, the Dev team has all the data. They know what people actually play and how they play it ... and it's obviously different from what the forum trolls think it is. They created the current game play from that data. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean they are wrong. Second, that report is a little vague and no amount of "filling in the blanks" will make it less so. It only allows people to spin the info into what they want it to be instead of what it actually is. for instance, the 1 mill loss on subs could have been offset by CC spending or perhaps after the last chapter, people went preferred until the newest expansion. I can spin it just like you and the end result is the same BS. Finally, the sky has been falling from day one and according to some of you the game should have gone bankrupt years ago. At this point, while some of the posts are humerus considering the lack of knowledge, you can only cry wolf so much before the villagers stop listening.
  14. To answer the OP's question ... ME! I don't fall into any other your category's and even question whether anyone actually does. Not everything is black and white, dark or light, up or and down. I'm all about having fun playing in a SW universe and that's exactly what I'm doing.
  15. Why do casuals need NIM gear? Because it allow them to advance their chars. This is something all MMORPG's do. The question you should ask yourself is "why do people like you want to keep them from getting it"? Does it damage your play somehow? Does it even affect you at all ... except for maybe your ego? If you are happy with how your char is geared, why does someone else having the same gear disturb you? Answer that question, and the answer to your original question will be revealed.
  16. I have to wonder, after having no new raid content for what ... over a year now .... if there are that many raiders still around. I would think that most of them would have quit and went to WoW or some other raid type game instead of sticking around knowing there won't be any new raid content in the last expansion. If so, does it really matter if they appease the raiders when there isn't that many of them left? Seems to me that creating content like that for such a tiny player base segment wouldn't be a very smart move. Of course, I don't know any of this ... BW has the numbers I don't ... but it wouldn't surprise me if losing all the raiders at this point wouldn't make too much difference in the bottom line.
  17. Actually, there is a lot to do at "end game". I would suggest joining a guild that will take you in as a new player and teach you the fights and the various things you can do like Conquests, PVP, OP's, etc. With a good guild, you don't have to worry about messing up because it's expected and making mistakes is sometimes the best way to learn. A good guild probably has a raid team that is good enough to carry someone along without getting wiped as you learn. Finding the right guild can take some time.Sometimes when you get into a guild, you find that it's not a good fit for your play style and/or personality. If so, don't be a drama queen ... just say goodbye and keep looking for those that you have fun playing with. With the right group of people you will become a better player and the game will become far more enjoyable. Luck!
  18. I find that in most cases, what we feel our deodorant does for us and what it really does may be completely different. You might want to start there ... and please ... don't get me started on the breath thing. If all that checks out OK, you might want to try the best pickup line the world has ever known "Hello, I'm <name here> and I'm independently wealthy. Would you like to help me spend my money"? Trust me, this never fails. Luck!
  19. Ok ... I got a call in from work and had to VPN in ... slow and painful. Even though my speed tests seemed OK my actual throughput was suffering. I ended up having to do a factory reset on my router at home ... no big deal ... and when it came back up everything was fixed. Looks like a false alarm on my part, which is why I asked other what they were doing. ThX for the replies!
  20. The lag is horrendous and every now and then I get kicked back to the server screen. I've tested everything on my end and it seems to be normal. Just wondering if it's me or is it BW. ThX!!
  21. I've reached the reputation cap for the week only needing 2600 rep to get where I need to be. If I ran the missions now, getting the rep tokens ... even though I can't use them now ... would I be able to use them when the week resets? Even if bounty contract week is over? ThX!!
  22. You know, if you made it just a "hair" more general. you could post this to any MMO and it would apply. Good post!
  23. Thanks for the welcome! I for one, love the story and this game is fantastic. I thought the latest chapter was outstanding and can't wait for the next installment. I'm not drinking the kool-aid ... I'm shooting it up and wanting more.
  24. I just built me a new machine under $1300. CPU, MB, Power Supply, Liquid Cooling, RAM and Video Card. I also added a few pretty fans. Already had the case and HD. No need to post specs but my new Intel rig is very speedy and exceeds the specs needed for Occulus Rift. Depending on what you choose as a CPU, MB and Video Card, you could get a great machine under $1100 ... if you need a case and HD ... which really isn't much more than that Alienware you linked. For instance, you could go for the I5-6600k instead of the I7-6700k and probably not notice a difference in the game. Just match your parts and you're good to go. The thing is that by building your own ... and it's very easy to do with the net full of howtos ... will allow you to upgrade in the future easier and much cheaper. Plus you get the machine you want, which will play any game out there. There are some killer laptops out there but when it comes to the performance bang for the buck, a desktop wins every time. Oh ... , SWTOR plays way better than it used to since I upgraded but there are times when it gets choppy. Not often, but sometimes throwing hardware at an issue isn't always the answer and how the game is optimized makes a big difference no matter what your specs
