  1. and only use stomp - it'll be all you need.
  2. The fifth time I logged back in Lana appeared and I'm able to continue now. Whew...
  3. I'm in a bit of a pickle. I'm a returning player and took my lvl 65 character to start the new content. I did the first part and ended up on Odessen. Had to take a break and went into the cantina. Next day I had a few minutes and thought I'd pick up whatever quests were around (assuming I'd be on Odessen for a while). Walked out of the cantina a ways and a cut scene starts. Oh heck I thought - I don't have more that 10 minutes to play right now and these things go on a while. So I find myself aboard the Gravestone etc, and it lands on another ship. My party and I step off, there's a battle, and then.... this is where the problem starts. After the battle, I'm told to talk to Lana Beniko - but Lana is no longer in the party - she's not there. So I log off, log back in later, and now there is no one in my party and I'm still supposed to talk to Lana. So I try to walk into the building and my screen goes black - I'm assuming for another cut-scene - but with no one in my party, it stops, throws me back and starts me running into the building again, and continues doing this over and over until I have to Control-Alt-Delete to kill the game. And that's where I'm at right now. Everytime I log in to that character, there's no one in my party, no Lana to talk to, and nowhere I can go. Any suggestions??
  4. Very nice guide. Thanks for taking the time to post this.
  5. I've heard this kind of statement before - NOT TRUE. Tried TfB 2 days ago when my guild needed 1 more dps (they had been asking for ~15 min). It was for the last boss only and I had seen the fight 1 other time about 2 months ago, so I thought I'd be of some help anyways. But we wiped. And it was noted that I was in the 'wrong place' numerous times during the fight. I was embarassed. Additionally, I was in a pug group about 3 weeks ago for EV SM - one of the easiest Ops from what people say. The group wiped on the 2nd boss and broke up, although this time I knew the fight and was one of the last to die. So yeah - people can wipe on any Ops fight.
  6. I've found it's pretty tough for a newer player to run any kind of ops. Most people have done them many many times, know the fights well, and get annoyed having someone in the group not knowing the fights. Even just trying to get into a pug group for the weekly and trying the best I can - even if I looked at the fight on youtube - I usually miss something and cause a wipe. It's really embarassing. It's fun when you're in a group and everyone is on the same learning curve - you learn together, progress together, and win together. Right now, I just feel like if I join a group, I'm just holding them back. So anyway, I've just been spending my time leveling alts. Is that all there is to do in the game for new players?
  7. I noticed the same thing. But since I don't really like jumping puzzles, it was easy for me to decide not to try any more.
  8. I just want to add a recommendation. I also played WoW for a long time (9 yrs) and I'm now enjoying this game. I'm finding the best part is really the class stories while leveling up a character. I've done a Counselor, Smuggler, Jedi, and Trooper (all Republic side) and the stories are great. So it's best to start a new character at level 1 IMO. As far as end-game, try to find a guild that will help you through but keep in mind there have been no new raids for like 3 years and most everyone knows the fights in their sleep. It's tough being a newbie at this point - again just my opinion. There's lots of fun to be had though. Don't be in a hurry and enjoy the journey.
  9. This has been happening to some people. Most times, just logging out and back in will fix it.
  10. I just had this happen to me today on my Commando. Chapter 3 achievement did not complete. Seems this bug has been around for a while, and was 'fixed' at one point, but is happening again.

  12. My lvl 10 jedi is always on the fleet. I just use him to manage the GTN.
  13. I played some 3 years ago, and just came back a couple weeks ago. I was doing datacrons on my gunslinger main and checking my lvl 10 jedi to see if he was also getting the stat increases because of the way I understand legacy to work. After getting 8 datacrons yesterday, my jedi went up 1 in mastery, 3 in endurance and 4 in presence. So it doesn't look like he is getting full credit for some and no credit for others. Do I need to submit a bug report? Or am I not understanding correctly how it works.
  14. Interesting. I just came back to the game after being away for 3 years. I was playing my lvl 65 sage/seer this morning and since I just hit 65 yesterday, thought I'd do some +2 heroics for crystals. I did Coruscant and it seemed too easy. Then I went to Balmora and got my butt kicked by the first group (of 4) that I pulled. So it seemed like a HUGE jump in difficulty. So anyway, my impression was that the scaling was quite uneven. It isn't much fun soloing as a healer anyway, so I just went back to the fleet to read chat. (Fyi, my gear is all 208).
  15. I tried for an hour (frustrating) to try to find where to turn in Explosive Conflict quest. It says to return to GE-31. I finally found GE-31 in a hanger in the fleet. However, I couldn't enter the hangar because I wasn't in an ops group (got an error message). So I found another person to join a group with me, entered the hangar, and... was instantly transported to Denova and there was no GE-31 there. I would really like to get the quest reward, but being able to turn it in is turning out to be harder than actually completing the ops. lol Any advice or suggestion?
