  1. I think it shows how unpopular arenas are and how out of contact with the pvp community they are. Every thread that asked for arenas had the same reply echoed several times "no we don't want arenas , thank you" and 2 main reasons why is the poor class balancing and the lack of a decent matchmaking that is easily noted even on 8v8 warzones. Furthermore why release something that it will be so unpopular that it can't have it's own queue ? Imagine if GSF was in the same queue as regular warzones. Meanwhile they removed a feature that was already popular with the already established pvp community. When people thought of ranked Season 1 they thought about 8v8 ranked warzones and not 4v4 arenas. If any sort of real pvp is to survive in this game, they have to turn this 180 on this attitude as soon as possible.
  2. This Also how did it feel when you realized you got pranked into posting this ? Must be some sort of dev hazing. Joking btw. But yeah this has been known for quite a while, what we want is the actual math , for example which level mods gives the total best of bolster ? I read somewhere the sum of the levels should be lower than 193 ( so 1x66+2x63 would be optimal it seems, but I havent tested that out yet. But really thank you so much for finally posting here. We like this more communication is always welcome. Another question: Is there anything you guys are considering changing in the current system ?,

  4. It just snowballed from the failure it was at the start. But what I don't understand is why remove 8v8 ranked when people transferred from their original servers just to play that type of wz. It just seem like they gave up trying and actually wanted pvp to die out. How could they not know that this would drive people away from the game ?

Very true, I would also add that given that the Obroan relics are so much better than any other PVE relic, except for the Dread Forged ones, and being more easy to access, we see a bunch of people with no interest in pvp , taking part in warzones , this usually lead into frustrating warzones with players not interested in winning or making any effort to support their team , they just want to get the comms and get the relic and get out. I hope a dev responds to this. And don't forget to rate this thread guys

  10. Quite true. IT would be really nice if they communicated more with this part of the forum. Just to let us know that they are aware of the issues and that they are working on it. Just having this knowledge is better than being left in limbo
  11. Another example of bad design. If there is a 4v1 situation when the timer runs out the victory should go imediatly to the team that has 4 ppl. They played better and there is no way that 1 person will defeat 4 alone when that same person wasn't able to do it with 3 guys helping before. Another solution is to give 30s timer for that person to kill someone in the winning group if they can't manage that then the other team wins the round. The only that a full stealth team won't have an advantage is that if they make it so when in arenas you can only stealth for a certain period , and then add a cooldown to stealth once that period is over. Otherwise that team can just wait til the last second to perform a focused attack, regardless of which tie breaking system there is. Maybe make it so if a person goes into stealth for longer than 20s they forfeit and are out of the round.
  12. It's a pve buff, exactly what I imagined it would be. THe pvp one will address survivablity , which they acknowledge it needs buffs and are working on it.

    The reason people leave is because no one wanted arenas. Or at least it wasnt wanted enough for the devs to work on it and put it on the game yet
  14. Indeed , but he probably knew that the guy was bad before hand.. Its like using backstab right after hidden strike, if the guy is bad he will pop all his defensive cooldowns.
  15. Except he didnt use to get the proc =), he did it so he would waste his cc breaker and it worked
  16. I rather they "tease" us with some info of what is coming than leaves in the dark for too long. However when a dev comes and say "buff to operative dps" I really hope its something like a 15% increase to the sustained dps of concealment , instead of something like 5% more damage to carbine burst. ( imo if they still want to mess with that ability making it a free gcd if used from behind would be great ).

  18. Well commenting on moderation and calling people out is against the TOS, so ironically if this thread gets deleted it will show that this forum is moderated. I do agree with you , the lack of stickies and dev posts in this forum is very telling of their attitude towards the pvp communitiy. Meanwhile in gw2 we have threads posted by devs that go something like "hey guys we would like to know which mode you would like us to include in the future, please give us your suggestions"
  19. I had no issues with it though, even on my sin which had rakata gear on. Its all about stunning and interrunping and understanding the mechanics
  20. Do you HAVE TO play in a group for this game to be a MMO , or can you have the OPTION to do so ? I go with the latter.
  21. This is a really good idea. They could at least make a hidden score based on one of those challenges and use it to match people with similar score. No need to make this sort of thing public too. however IF they ever did this in this game I would like to have all the 16sm operations on the group finder. The amount of people asking for help to kill a mob on oricon really shows the lack of quality in gameplay from some players. All you need to do to solo them is have a basic grasp of when to use interrupts and stuns, and after a few deaths is quite easy to figure out how to do each mob.
  22. It's quite different selling something as a direct purchase, than putting on a gambling pack. I would imagine this wouldn't be done in the "story packs" model, where you would have the chance to get the story line you wanted and if you got one you didnt need you would just dish it out on the gtn, but more like a mini expansion sort of feature.
  23. I too was able to post while unsubbed , maybe the system is bugged ? Imo this game is far from making a comeback. It still has bugs and issues that make gameplay more frustrating than anything.. The same issues are still here since before I unsubbed for the first time. On top of that It still offers way less features than it's competitors The only reason I came back was because I wanted to play a SW mmo and nothing more. I am still waiting for the patch notes to 2.6 or the news of what is to come in the future , however so far I see no reason to renew my sub next week. Real shame though , this game had potential.

  25. Tbh I can't really tell which is more likely, but both are indicative of bad design. However I don't really know how things are done in this engine and it could very well be that the engine doesn't support this sort of thing , but then if it doesn't I have no idea why or how they chose to use it. The basic principle is that if the parent class has this property , they only need to code the change once , however if it doesn't then they will have to alter the code for every single hooded robe in the game. So what I mean by that is if a helm has to know if the robe has a hood or not , and you can't just ask the parent class, you would have to reference each robe individually , instead of just making a reference to the robe class . Again I am just speculating here, so don't start quoting me around the forums:p
